No chance of going to any of those having spent £600 on a season ticket. Pointless games, would go if less. They might as well just open the itchen for all of them, and just block 1 for the wolves game.
-
could this be the first game for the newco?
-
no it hasn't. The Itchen corner was closed and what remained of it stood at the back of block 4 was harrassed every single game. The Northam also gets the stewards moaning the whole game up and down the rows. Teams tend to stand more in the prem, the away end will be full and standing for the visits of Arsenal, Spurs, United, City, Liverpool, West Ham, Newcastle. always harder for them to get people to sit when the whole away end next to them is stood.

what the f*ck? loads of saints fans live in london, and beleive it or not hundreds of us still go to saints games and have saints season tickets rather than feel the need to get one for another club, or did that just coincide with us being relegated from championship into league one?
-
Wigan is a definite, and Stoke being the only other ground i haven't done, however the league could have loads of London days out with Tottenham Arsenal Fulham Chelsea QPR West Ham (maybe) plus Reading, that is quite a few short distance aways that even with a high ticket cost will tempt people into going

Hiroshima away would be a classic!!
-
i'm hoping to get over to Bilbao for a game while they are still playing at their old ground known as the "cathedral" atmosphere looks superb, and they had a lively away following on some of the european games i've seen, makes a change from usual dull fans you get at Spanish clubs
-
also the final is in Bucharest, venue of our last european outing. Athletico Bilbao all the way, top support for a spanish side, acknoweldge their kit came from us, and good old port city.
-
i assume there is just going to be a line of stewards with no netting to get a crowd this big.
-
Is anyone else worried that our recent loss of form is coinciding with Barcelona's decline and this is due to our shared style of play being found out?
-
Yago Falque hat trick
-
i'd start with Guly for the added goal threat that he provides, but do worry about the lack of players we have in midfield who can actually RUN WITH THE BALL. would be good to have Richardson back at right back to bomb on up the wing and provide some crosses to the back post for Lambert to put away.
-
what odds can you get on this scoreline again?
-
for those who didn't get tickets, at least it will be on tv , should pack the pubs throughout the town watching it
-
out of interest where do you live and what sort of work do you do? and in the time you spend on saints forum how many jobs could you have applied for? i've been looking at jobs recently and depending on how low you are prepared to go there is a lot out there.
-
for those saying can't afford it - here is a good option, can limit the day to match ticket, mini bus, couple of cans and a packed lunch.
-
love pin badges, wear saints ones, have collected them from tons of foreign grounds visited. good badge seller on the bridge by the king alfred at home games now.
-
good point they did, it was subsidised coach and rail though Charlton really made an effort for it being FA Cup 1/4 final.
-
one thing that saints have never been good at doing is organising ourselves as fans to get across the country. i know lads who follow many other teams, spurs for example have a good history of pubs organising unofficial coaches but they probably have more of a drinking culture than saints where certain pubs are "football" pubs. if a few more entreprenuers have got groups of mates together, booked a coach firm, smuggled a few bottles of pop onboard, you're laughing and not too expensive either. all about having enough get up and go.
-
depends by which standards you set it by. Newcastle got promoted away to Plymouth on a monday night, still sold out easily.
-
i won't be dressing up, but do quite like the YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS YELLOWS CUP FINAL 2003 looked good, as did Derby in the play offs. any one taking flags to drape out over the seats? always looks good on TV some big st georges cross, union jacks etc
-
well said, we are losing our football heritage in front of our eyes, nights like Tuesday were a reminder of how great terraces are, and the demand is still there for them. people who go to gigs and rugby - fine, standing allowed and encourage. why should it be different with football. #watchingfootballisnotacrime
-
imagine if all the other fans took that approach and thought nah, too much hassle, and we were promoted in front of a handful of people in the away end?
-
what was it about him wearing orange and saints fans saying, hang on a minute, he is wearing orange, and wotsits are orange so lets sing he looks like one, become funny? if he was wearing green and people sang he looks like a bogey would you have laughed at that?
