  1. So Claus is saying he was mentally ill? that is why he was down the casino drinking, smoking and laughing most nights? ok then. and we still don't know why Gary Speed committed suicide.
  2. i didn't say he hadn't , but he showed poor discipline to become an alcoholic and blame it on the ease within the lifestyle of a footballer. he has been given great opportunity in life and has chosen to waste a lot of it on drink and drugs
  3. there seems to be an assumption that Gary Speed was suffering from depression which seems strange as no evidence to suggest that, also he wasn't having to cope with being out of the game. as for claus, he showed a lack of mental discipline allowing himself to be drawn into the heavy drinking and smoking, it was a lifestyle choice and i can't feel too sorry for footballers earning as much in a week as i do in a year, if they want to experience stress they should try to provide for a family on a low wage, or work for a week in A&E, after that football might not seem to bad after all
  4. were they able to tell you how many tickets we have? because when others i know have asked the ticket office wouldn't confirm, just seems strange.
  5. so how can they know that all the tickets are sold out? something doesn't add up for me with all this, there reluctance from the start to say how many our allocation was, and in the news article yesterday they didn't actually use the words sold out.
  6. surely that email was not sent today? if you wait for 10 days it will only be a few days before the actual match
  7. I watched Braga v Birmingham on Wednesday night and they looked very good, well organised, hard working side, much better than they looked at St Marys back in September, this has to be good news for us. But hopefully before Jan they can take some points off other rivals, they are playing Cardiff this weekend I think so a draw in that one would be good for us. I was wondering about this as their owner was arrested a few months ago and nothing had really happened since, so it has taken a while for the action to be implemented
  8. The Giddy Bridge opens at 7am http://www.jdwetherspoon.co.uk/home/pubs/the-giddy-bridge good spot for breakfast and a pint or two, but make sure you have a plss before sitting on a bus for over an hour! would imagine will be busy from 8-10am
  9. these, and a good long rendition of slow OWTS, unfortunately i don't think we'll be able to sing "we are southampton. we're top of the league" by then the way West Ham are playing they'll go on top of us home to Barnsley the day before we go to Fratton
  10. my advice mate would be to look out for the old woman from Dagenham away last season, she had a backpack with a flask and tupperware box of fairy cakes, sit next to her and ask if you can join in to share her snacks on a serious note, i recall many an away day that starts with a McDonalds breakfast and then don't eat anything until a KFC on the train home, easy to go to the match without buying food
  11. spare a thought for Millwall fans going to Leeds this weekend, to get a ticket they have to go to a service station and exchange it for a match ticket, they have to get to the service station between 9.45-11.15am outside of Leeds, and their travel club is leaving Millwall at 5.30am!! on top of that match tickets are £34!!! i would be amazed if Millwall take more than 150 http://www.millwallfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10367~2534207,00.html
  12. never by saints, it was mentioned in a skates official site article.
  13. but it still doesn't mention the number sold?! so we'll only know on the day if there are big areas of segregation
  14. they will be fine mate, they have Guly down there helping them out
  15. sorry i meant 31st jan. we play them a week after the 2nd leg
  16. buy why not prepare for eventualities? say ballot open, tickets go first to season ticket holder, then to database + 4, then database + 2, then just database, they could have it sorted quickly with a proper system.
  17. you can just imagine the meeting between the OB, the safety officer at the club jobsworth, flip charts, powerpoints, bet they are loving it planning it pretending to be a military operation, makes them feel important having missed out in their careers of doing anything of any substance.
  18. you are missing the point, these "comedy owners" and cheating and fraud, they are not laughing matters, the skate c*nts have already done us once while cheating in the FA cup, if they do it again i'll be f*cking outraged, i want to see them in the conference, i've got a good mate who follows Luton, i've seen them on -30 points and down in the conference, only when pompey have dropped to those levels will i be satisfied, no laughing, no giggling, no made up set of circumstances like those on here guessing what is going to happen to them being "toast" , from where i am sitting they have got away with so much i can see them doing it again.
  19. benefits i can see for us - we have Cardiff at home 31st December, they'll be playing extra games that month with the semi final over 2 legs, plus there are FA Cup games so see how they pan out. hopefully they pick up some injuries and suspesions and drop a few points helping us get a gap away from 3rd .
  20. do it 3000 times? and yet the example you use has 8 applicants on the form? doesn't add up. No excuses - this is very slow
  21. yeah it will be hilarious won't it , this "shlt" they have so called be dragged through leaves them 9 points off the play offs (they'll beat coventry saturday as well) with a well paid decent squad, and a good chance of beating us on the 18th, if we lose that day all of your giggling will look pathetic when they are laughing at YOU
  22. 20 mins per application, F8cking hell the lazy buggers bet they are chatting away drinking coffee while doing it, never ceases to amze me, they try to purvey an image of professional top flight outfit, but behind the scenes it is amatuer, Totton probably have a better outfit doing their Bristol Rovers tickets
  23. At least OldNick and Franks Cousin at last post some realistic sense, they have continued to get away from it and i reckon they'll get away with it again. all this b0ll0cks talk about them bieng toast, and LAUGHING at them, well i can tell you if they beat us on the 18th there will only be one set of fans LAUGHING and it will be them at us. the scandal of what they have got away with isn't a laughing matter at all from where i am sitting, and you lot continue to guess your way through it pretending to be clued up and have been proved wrong continually.
  24. no one has been unsuccessful due to lack of tickets, just delays / incompetence at the ticket office.
  25. the club even confirmed there were plenty of tickets left after the first ballot and the echo have reported there are several hundred remaining yesterday
