Yes - we now play on the Sunday, bit out of order as everyone had to buy tickets before they sold out without knowing when the game will be, can see quite a few Saints fans looking to sell now
-
Couldn't believe it when I read the announcement, all over the place, Arsenal could be Friday night, but more likely SUNDAY NIGHT (good chance Arsenal progress in Europa) or even not at all if we're at Wembley in the semi final. If Arsenal does move to the Sunday then Bournemouth home on a Thursday night could be a big one , think I'd prefer that to the Tuesday. Man City really frustrating, will get short notice on whether Saturday or Sunday, depends on them going through in Europe but then also the draw / fixture schedule to see which day they play in the next round why not just put it on the Saturday now and remove all doubt West Ham moving to a Sunday might be better for the travelling fans with a train strike planned for the Saturday currently

Great away day that one , what a legend Evans was, good Saints end
-
So they took our £7M or whatever it was and want us to then just loan him back? We're being stiched up here aren't we
-
Thanks hadn't realised that, saved me a wasted trip on Friday night! When we played Leeds away earlier in the year they gave a run out to quite a few first team players and thrashed us, don't think we can do the same with a first team game the next day

Get yourself to Coriander Lounge for a curry, top notch quality and good location in town , while you are in the area have a pint at Dancing Man pub in the old wool house nearby. Can't remember when I last noticed a pool table in a pub , there used to be one in Mayflower Village pub close to train station but not been in there for a couple of years. Plenty of pubs in town within 20 mins walk of the ground so can take your pick. Saints will almost certainly change starting XI, big squad now but to be honest it's hard to say if it would be weaker , Leeds and Leicester games either side will be priority but you'll still get to see some international soccer superstars like Che McAdams, Moussa Djenepo, Willy Caballero, perhaps our two Croatian internationals if they are let off the naughty step. I've actually decided to go to the game myself now partly based on having a decent away following making it a decent cup occasion, shame it won't be a big crowd but to give you some context I think we've got the worst home form in the 92 with just two home league wins in the last 12 months (against Arsenal and Chelsea weirdly) so we've got a lot of disillusioned season ticket holders. Record in the cups is a bit better but shows you definitely have a chance Surely they'll invite Lawrie McMenemy and Tommy Forecast as guests of honour for the game, Forecast wasn't just bad for us, it makes it worse that he was part of a deal in Saints cashing in our sell on clause for Gareth Bale with Spurs, another costly mistake in a long list of costly mistakes we've had over the years, he actually lives next door to a friend of mine now, think he coaches kids so the future of goalkeeping in Hampshire is in safe hands

Yeah I was told up at Newcastle we'd taken the smaller allocation (tickets went on sale next day) , maybe it changed later on. Unusually the website doesn't confirm the allocation "Due to there being a limited number of tickets available, we anticipate a high demand on tickets." https://www.southamptonfc.com/matches/2022-23/leeds-vs-saints-2023-02-25/ticket-info

Proper 6 pointer, two massive games v Leeds within 24 hours
-
Might just be upper, not sure but it's only one tier as far as I know, half the allocation
-
We've only taken the small allocation of tickets for this game, lower tier about 1300 , will be hard to make ourselves heard
-
Agree looking at the table it's massive, a Leeds fan I know seems very despondent at the moment and thinks they are going down (same as us really) whole shambles around manager recruitment seems to be an issue there, wonder if they'll appoint someone before we play? Could have an impact
-
Fair play to him, probably a really decent lad just a shame he wound up the fans with his comments going to Villa as he's been a decent servant for a number of years and does seem to care. Are we still allowed to call him Janny B now Jones has gone?
-
selles OUT
-
Yes can see that, with Selles saying he can take some positives from the way we played in the 2nd half
-
It's a 5th round of the FA cup, good chance of winning, should be a decent away end, any normal year would be close to a sell out, not this year though , I can't blame fans when you look at our home record
-
I know he's been made caretaker manager, but does he even want to be the main man? Plenty of coaches are happy doing just that, working with players on the training pitch but away from the stress of being a manager, facing the press etc. I'm not expecting him to have any positive impact on our performances, he's been key part of the team for a while so limited impact.

£7 for an inflatable fish seems a bit much Our ticket sales for this game unsurprisingly look tiny at the moment, a reflection of league position, dissatisfaction with the club as a whole, plus Leicester at home a few days later , so Grimsby will have to wave their blow up fish at lots of empty seats
-
We're still paying Ralph aren't we so from that perspective would make some financial sense but I can't see it happening
-
It's the world we live in now mate, sad times. Can imagine the stewards briefing pre match , watch out for these inflatable haddocks lads, have a snatch squad ready to pounce.
-
Very disappointing https://gtfc.co.uk/club-statement-on-harry-haddocks-at-cup-tie/
-
That's an interesting point , Bree spoke about his good relationship with Jones, wonder how this will impact his Saints career. (KWP will be fit again next week)
-
I was joking saying about as realistic as Poch, although on reflection would be quite funny. What are our other former managers up to? Get Hoddle back to finish the job he'd started
-
Ive seen some fans seriously suggesting Poch as if he's just waiting for an offer of the job, about as realistic as appointing Lawrie McMenemy until the end of the season, steady the ship and command a bit of respect
-
Early signs are good, exciting player to watch , need the right players alongside him
-
Of course he's done well financially but there's more to life than money Grandad
