If the train strike somehow gets called off before then we also have the problem of engineering works....from Southampton to London trains are diverted up via Havant so we really will get to travel with the Skates

Might just have been because the B team game was called off as Everton pulled out so took the opportunity to include some more players.

I'm sure we're playing behind closed doors but does seem Saints preparation is quite low key compared to other clubs who are playing more high profile games

I'd been hoping Chelsea signed a new forward and let us have Broja back in January on loan, was a top player for us last season , hopefully he's not out for too long.

Thought about taking the kids with free tickets but don't think I'll bother, it's in the "Continental league Cup group stage", a competition the club have shown little interest in, playing a weakened side and losing already to Coventry United (0-2) and Reading (0-3) so not even sure if we have any chance of progressing and would likely lose in the freezing cold so not the best occasion to get the kids interest going.

I watched him closely in a B team game, my opinion is he's too big to be a left back, he might develop into a better player elsewhere on the pitch and is a strong lad but didn't offer much creativity and got beaten for pace a few times.

Genuinely looking forward to Lincoln at home more than I was tonight's game, will be good to get back to domestic action not a fan of international breaks

Top stuff from Lincoln there, midweek before Christmas, long awkward journey, hopefully they bring the 1600. In the last round Sheff Wed had 2400 and we had just over 20k in total attendance, reckon might be a bit higher for this one with it being school holidays and Jones first game as usual for this sort of game loads will be in few days running up to the game as they know it won't sell out. Bit mad Saints will have had a 6 week break whereas in the same time Lincoln have played regularly, not sure if that helps us or them
