Ahh, I was just thinking we hadn't had a New York or Amsterdam thread for a week or two...

Either write what you think you know will happen with an "allegedly, possibly" disclaimer, or stop writing this ITK-teaser crāp.

Anyone who doesn't organ donate is just selfish. I'd like somebody else to enjoy my Bontempi after my death.

I wish we wouldn't sing "We are staying up", it's awfully tinpot. -
I was deliberately paying a lot of attention to Lambert's play for exactly the reason that has developed - the slagging off of Gastón and Guly. There weren't a lot of them, but a fair few examples where, if G or G had lost the ball, mis-timed a ball coming to feet, or mis-placing a pass, they would all have been chalked up by the Gastón/Guly haters.
-
That's what makes me despair at some of our 'fans': They ignore his good play, how he wins the ball by clever body positioning and closing angles, his through balls and tracking back - then are just waiting for one mistake or clever little flick that doesn't quite come off, to slate him as 'proof' that he's rubbish. It's, no doubt, the same idiots that don't see how Guly does the same kinds of things as they're waiting for him to mid-place one pass too. Lambert had just as many (if not more) mis-timed controls, mis-placed passes and losses of possession, yet not one person will slate him for it. If Lambert had Gastón or Do Prado on his back, then he'd be blasted for it. Gastón is class; if you can't see that then I despair.

We took in a Rangers game at MSG last Thursday. They lost 3-1, but it was an enjoyable evening. I see you've booked tickets, so you probably don't want the tip I was going to give you: wait outside and hold your nerve with the dozens of touts! The game was a sellout and we still got 2x good $132 seats for £115. It's a great venue, the concourses and catering are great and the whole hockey experience is entertaining (if annoying during the tv timeouts!) If you're staying in mid-town and have a couple of hours to spare on a Friday afternoon (2-4pm), I would thoroughly recommend the Food Cart Tour that we did. It was probably one of the best things we did here. A very informative and fun lad, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history and quality of the carts. You do a walk around Midtown and sample food from 6 or 7 carts (savoury and sweet) and learn a lot about the history and the system. Just DON'T think of food carts as hot dogs only - they are for the sucker tourists who avoid the decent ones! Brian Hoffman @EatThisNY or http://www.eatthisny.com You won't regret it.

If he could actually shoot, he'd be an immense player.

To be fair, the OP was correct when he questioned why we bought JR when we were playing a different formation and playing him out of position. He has looked a different player - the quality player he is - since Mauricio has been playing him up front with RL, as a proper striker, which is his best position and where he shone for Burnley.

We're off there on Tuesday for a week. Missing no Saints games. You need to plan your trips better!

Stuff magazine is a comic in the tech world and the have a couple of notorious Apple-hating staff writers. It doesn't mean the whole staff share that opinion (wherever it is: I couldn't find it!) - as proved by this review and comparison of the three tablets http://www.stuff.tv/news/computers-and-consoles/versus/apple-ipad-mini-vs-google-nexus-7-and-amazon-kindle-fire-hd which has the iPad Mini head and shoulders ahead in all respects. T3 share the same opinion: - "Whether you buy this [iPad Mini] over a Nexus 7 or Kindle Fire HD comes down to your perception of value and image. But, with all considered, we’d say it was the best of its breed." http://m.t3.com/reviews/ipad-mini-review

If you can't afford the iPad Mini (or can't wait for the HD version) and don't have other iOS devices, then go for the N7. The Kindle is a lump of craap.
