  1. Russ Watkinson. Kane McClaggon. Kevin Gibbens.
  2. I wish I could forget that that virtually the entire squad from the championship delegation season played for us. Special mentions for Lancashire, James and McGoldrick.
  3. If anyone wants to go but has decided not to because they are not prepared to pay I will refund the 10p. Seriously.
  4. Another Poor Wee Gordon Signing/Failed Haggis Export? Saints Career Apps: 40 Saints Career Goals: 0
  5. Haha. Utterly ridiculous. 'sensitive to vibrations' lol, and as for 'cat'....
  6. Mate, you were in a Huff.
  7. Good point, would the reaction have been the same if this had happened after the 5-1 against Chelsea? Rhetorical question. That said I think this is an I'll timed decision that introduces an element of risk where that element of risk need not be. Wait till the end of the season after we'd staid up (Which I'm confident we would have done), then do the ruthless bit and get the continental tactician with all his euro knowledge and contacts in to get to know the players and build the team in his own image and with a couple of Michu style signings in for good measure. Instead we have a rush job on with all the communication difficulties and player disgruntlement issues that could very easily be enough to relegate a team that had just got into the groove but that is,after all, only 3 points above the drop. Let's just hope it doesn't pan out like that - oh, and let's not all react like it already has.
  8. Happy days. Keep this up and we are staying up simple as.
  9. Yes it is. Especially good dives like that. Everyone else is doing it so we have to even it out. You should always fight fire with fire (unless you are a fireman).
  10. Some absolutely ridiculous comments on here about how 'up against it' we were in the 2nd half, someone even referenced Leeds away last season. Thought we were easily the better side in the first half and the 2nd was fairly even. Yes they had chances, but so did we. C'MON!!!!!
  11. From those 2, I'd pick Chelsea:blush:
  12. Got a ticket for this one, thinking a day out at the footy on boxing day will make a nice change from the usual in laws 'party'. Imagine my disappointment as I discover not only that a/There's a tube strike on but b/The overland trains don't run on boxing day anyway. Anyone want to buy a ticket?
  13. Oh dear that really did sound cack. Worried that we are running out of home games against the weaker sides, and the return from the ones we've played does not look good enough tbh. We are going to have to beat some top sides now to redress the balance. Have we got it in us.................
  14. Well said Danny I echo all your sentiments there. Brilliant news for Billy and yes would like to see him back with us in the Prem where I think he could do a job.
  15. Cork plugs hole
  16. Ha he was claiming that himself in the sun yesterday (assuming they weren't misrepresenting him which admittedly is a sizeable if). Anyway, get the feck in saints, it looks like things could be coming together now, with the return of Cork and introduction of Shaw giving us a solidity that looked totally beyond us 3 weeks ago. To be saying that about a 17 year old I think means we've got one hell of a player on our hands.
  17. "We want to win games of football at the football club"?
  18. Ave IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So pleased with that. And Swansea win at Newcastle which puts a different light on our domination of them last week and instills new belief that we should beat the toon next week. If we do, and then pick up a couple more wins in this 'easy' November run the worries are going to disappear quick sharp style, and hopefully won't return.
  19. No I don't
  20. Brighton fan at work says we are welcome to have him back whenever we want. I think the reason may not be that he wants us to stay up and the key to us doing so is the return of Captain Hammond.
  21. Why TF doesn't OUR manager make a change
  22. Guilty as charged! Supported them as a kid in the 70's but switched to Saints as soon as I was old enough (14) to possess the morality required to realise it is completely irrational and unacceptable for a southerner to support a northern team.
  23. Starting to get annoyed now. 3 nil is an embarrassment, could easily have been 5. Wtf is going on, this is descending into farce.
  24. I almost agree but think the club resembles a ship with a headless chicken at the helm. Oh and the ship has big holes in it like our defence.
