Billy Sharp is celebrating the birth of a son
stknowle replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Well said Danny I echo all your sentiments there. Brilliant news for Billy and yes would like to see him back with us in the Prem where I think he could do a job. -
Cork plugs hole

Ha he was claiming that himself in the sun yesterday (assuming they weren't misrepresenting him which admittedly is a sizeable if). Anyway, get the feck in saints, it looks like things could be coming together now, with the return of Cork and introduction of Shaw giving us a solidity that looked totally beyond us 3 weeks ago. To be saying that about a 17 year old I think means we've got one hell of a player on our hands.

"We want to win games of football at the football club"?
-
Ave IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So pleased with that. And Swansea win at Newcastle which puts a different light on our domination of them last week and instills new belief that we should beat the toon next week. If we do, and then pick up a couple more wins in this 'easy' November run the worries are going to disappear quick sharp style, and hopefully won't return.

Brighton fan at work says we are welcome to have him back whenever we want. I think the reason may not be that he wants us to stay up and the key to us doing so is the return of Captain Hammond.

Why TF doesn't OUR manager make a change

Guilty as charged! Supported them as a kid in the 70's but switched to Saints as soon as I was old enough (14) to possess the morality required to realise it is completely irrational and unacceptable for a southerner to support a northern team.

Starting to get annoyed now. 3 nil is an embarrassment, could easily have been 5. Wtf is going on, this is descending into farce.

I almost agree but think the club resembles a ship with a headless chicken at the helm. Oh and the ship has big holes in it like our defence.

A tad off topic but apparently the definition of endless love is Ray Charles v Stevie Wonder at tennis. As for the footy - FFS.

Feck's sake haven't seen Boruc (apart from Wham highlights shambles on MOTd) but if we are saying Davis would be an improvement then I simply give up.

Villa and Norwich
-
Too cleaver by half, much more and it will be the axe.
-
2 goals each for our centre backs. Massive relief after going behind, this is going to be a long hard season and if we survive skin and teeth will both be involved. Thought Do Prado looked quality for a player that gets so much stick.

I think we will Be good Enough but then Again we might not be but Anyway we'll see!!

Indeed not. Our three away games have been against City, Everton, Arsenal. One savage battering no points but who would really expect to have gleaned any points from those 3? Wigan is our worst result of the season, but I remain confident that we will win more than we lose against the weaker sides and this will be enough to keep us up which is mission accomplished even if we're 17th.

He is a ****. Anyone who refers to a goal in the plural "got across his goals", "defended the goals" is a ****. He does and therefore is. As for today's result AVE IT! But let's not get too carried away, Villa are ****.

Finishing 17th is success this season. We can achieve that regardless of the size of today's battering. The elements that aren't good enough - Davies, Fox definitely, Fonte, Hooiveld probably - will be weeded out and replaced, we will get stronger and hopefully in 2/3 seasons we will be an established premiership force. It's all about scraping by with what we've got at the moment, at least until January, and having 1 more point than 3 other sides at the end of the season. All that said, if we lose to Villa next week I am going to start worrying that this season could be a complete embarrassment.

Surely you are not suggesting that transfers such as 14 million Steven Fletcher are not good business?

This is all beginning to irritate me

Jason Puncheon "does not cut the mustard" for me
