Good news. As I've said, I don't think he's qualified to have any input into first team matters, but he is well qualified to develop the Academy.

Let's get it right, I think Cortese is OK. He wants us to do well, improve and progress. It's just that without facts to go on it's sometimes very difficult to be objective about him. I'm not sure about Adkins, and am disappointed that he's manouvered himself into an intolerable position. The fact that I want him in for tomorrow's match suggests that I think he would improve the club, but then there are a few others out there that I believe would as well. I don't think there are many fans will be on Adkins back. 99% of us will give him every chance and want him to do well.

Agreed. We needed him here in time to prepare a team for tomorrow. He doesn't seem that interested to me. The principles thing just doesn't ring true. This is professional football. Once he agreed to take us over then it is reasonable to ask him to resign his current position. He should have stayed on Wednesday, and taken training yesterday. From reading on here you wonder if Adkins really wants the job. There is speculation that he went back to Scunny to say goodbye to everyone rather than take training today, and he wouldn't resign his position despite apparently agreeing terms with us. Some might argue that he has principles, morals etc. Others might say that everything suggests he changed his mind. Cortese can still come out of this smelling of roses if he appoints a manager that would get the fans approval.
