  1. I wasn't talking about bosses, or their political persuasions. I was referring to the government legislation on working hours. I am happy as it stands, and would not want it changed. You seem to make a lot of assumptions.
  2. That's fine as long as it's voluntary.
  3. Specifically, I mean not being forced to do more than a 48 hour week. Voluntarily is fine, but I work hard and like time with my family as well.
  4. That's fine. I'll wait and see. But to be honest I quite like the right not to work sweatshop hours. I am not saying that I will under the Tories, as I say, I'll wait and see.
  5. Surely you don't mean the 'Abramovich of the Wessex League'? What a prize knob. I used to enjoy beating them on their crappy ground. Doesn't the mental bell ringer have his bookshop in Petersfield? Maybe he has a Marc Jackson sort of role in this. Hope so.
  6. As long as this isn't achieved by exploiting the workforce I have no real problem with that.
  7. Cheers Wes, your explanation (apart from the last paragraph) is quite heplful. Your last paragraph is a bit silly though, and implies I am some sort of communist, which is pretty far from the truth.
  8. I'm Big Ears, Jim.
  9. Don't worry dune, every worker will have the same rights as workhouse workers under a Tory government anyway.
  10. I think it's ironic when Thatcherite Cameron talks about 'Big Society' when Maggie herself said in a famous interview 'there is no such thing as society'. Leopards don't change their spots. To think the Tories have gone caring and sharing is rubbish.
  11. If we have to make cuts, that everyone pays for, then why are the rich getting some back in inheritance tax? Why should I pay and not them?
  12. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/4092926/Second-bank-bailout-plans-condemned.html http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/politics-news/election/election-2010-news/2010/04/28/election-2010-we-got-it-wrong-on-bailing-out-the-banks-admits-top-tory-kenneth-clarke-86908-22217613/ Not him directly, but his Chancellor elect, and a former Chancellor.
  13. Their inheritance tax plans for the multi-millionaires, while cutting spending elsewhere answers that one.
  14. http://online.wsj.com/article/BT-CO-20100422-714029.html?mod=WSJ_World_MIDDLEHeadlinesEurope Big profit to come thanks to Gordon's brave decisions. Cameron would have let them die, he is a pygmy. And before anyone says it was down to lax regulation on the banks in the first place, remember Cameron and his Party were campaigning for this to happen anyway.
  15. At a time when we need people spending in the High Streets to stimulate the economy I fail to see the merits of a VAT increase. Surely a VAT increase hits the lower earners proportionally more than the higher earners, which I suspect is why the Tories agree with it.
  16. Are you Phil Collins or Jim Davison?
  17. Spot on. I've always thought there are too many lawyers in Government.
  18. I can't stand Harriet Harman or George Osbourne. Pair of c*nts.
  19. I like the new kit, old school, nice.
  20. When did I say he was good, or a top PM? I just can't remember Hague coming off better in his exchanges with Blair. Like him or not, the fact is he wiped the floor with the Tories just like Thatcher did to the Labour Party. Blair, like Thatcher, was in power for too long and let it go to his head.
  21. I can only recall Hague's monotone getting well beaten in their exchanges, and Blair winning the 2001 election by a landslide.
  22. This was all declared and registered at the time, so this is nothing but smear from an ever desperate Tory press. I like the idea of Murdoch and his cronies sh*tting themselves at the thought of electoral reform and all their political influence gone in a second. I wish I was as organised as you with the Golf Society's money though. I've got to pay out what I've spent to St Mellion next week for our do. We really need to get a bank account.
  23. I don't remember that. My memory of Blair is him wiping the table with anyone the Tories put in front of him. Up to this point, both Cameron and Osbourne look like frightened rabbits staring at the headlights, in the televised debates. I don't think the country wants Blair Mk2, all smiles and spin in number ten. The Tories would have been better of electing David Davies as their leader. That said, I think the Liberals have peaked too early.
  24. Does the Administrator have to pay for all debts incurred whilst he is at the club. I would imagine he is buying a tenner's worth of Euro Lottery tickets as we speak, whilst telling all and sundry that he is waiting until Friday night for possible new investment. Why haven't they been closed down yet? And is it likely to happen?
