  1. Puts all life's little problems into perspective when something like this happens. We all owe a debt of gratitude to Mr Leibherr for saving the club when he did. My thoughts go out to his family.
  2. Top post. They rant on about the 'freedom of the press', but write whatever suits their paymaster's (Murdoch) agenda.
  3. Good points well made.
  4. Are you a mod?
  5. Good shout. Murdoch thinks he runs this country. Right behind you.
  6. To be fair, Benali was crap.
  7. Both brilliant. Narrlowly behind the Onedin Line and Upstairs Downstairs as the best televisual entertainment
  8. Because some people constantly droan on about the same things.
  9. People moaning about Cortese, should remember that if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have Markus at the club. Keep doing your job Nicola, if you crack a few eggs then so be it. I'll be eternally grateful for your part in rescuing the club.
  10. I miss lifelongsaint, St David and HelpmeRhonda. Try as they might, but dune and alpine are not in their league.
  11. It is your comments in general that bore the tits off me.
  12. It is as necessary as most of your inane drivel. Deal with it.
  13. No match write-ups in the Sunday Mirror or todays Mirror either. F*ck the Sun, they are just Murdoch's lapdog anyway.
  14. Harrington has finished well at Akron. I think, because it's a WGC event it gives him Euro points. He may not need a captains pick. Difficult task for Monty, but Garcia wouldn't be high on my list for a wildcard.
  15. If we don't improve in the next 3 or 4 games I can see a parting of the ways. Personally, I think we should stick with Pardew now. Can't see the benefit in bringing a new manager in who wouldn't have time to change side. Unless of course it was an appointment that would galvanise the players, club and supporters.....
  16. I couldn't care less what Sky pundits say. He was crap, and looked lost between the goal going in and getting subbed. The winger got in behind him a little too often, and easily for my liking. I appreciate the goal wasn't just down to Harding, I never said it was.
  17. Hardngi was absolute toilet who got down with balls around him or over his head too often. For the goal it looked like he was stood in concrete. The fact that he was taken off suggests that Pardew thought he was having a mare as well.
  18. That is a very good point.
  19. Trouble is, Hammond couldn't hit a cows arse with a banjo, his shooting is worse than his passing and his runs. I've seen Harding play crap a number of times. But I suppose we all have different opinions.
  20. Yes, but sacking him early into the season would be the worst executive decision. You either sack him and give a new manager the whole pre-season to prepare, or you stick with him. Personally, I don't think we have any choice but to stick with him.
  21. Play him in his normal left-back spot. He won't be any worse than Harding.
  22. I've been slagged off in the past for saying that Hammond and Harding were crap, but they didn't prove me wrong today. Harding should be behind both Dickson and Mills for the left-back spot. Barnard kept making the wrong runs in the box. Lallana livened things up, but it was a very lacklustre performance on a par with displays like Wycombe away last season. We definitely need to sign another centre-midfielder, and if we can't sign a forward, then we should play Lallana in a free role between the midfield and Lambert. Thought Butterfield did well.
  23. GM, thanks for telling me it was £75 a head. I marvel at your wealth. Good post though. But, to be fair, Butterfield wouldn't come near us if we were still up sh*t creek under Wilde and Lowe.
  24. Forecast is crap. Sorry to disappoint you.
