I wonder if the revenue will start issuing winding up orders at the start of the season. The only way to escape if you don't have the cash is to go into admin with the immediate penalty that comes with it. Much bigger threat to a club at the start of a campaign than at the end when the club it often already dead and buried.

Selling image rights for photos is not something that I object to - fair playto any club trying to maximise revenue (Oh and you can bet the the newspapers syndicate their photos to other organisations - try going to the echo for a free reprint). What NC got wrong was going this alone - this should have been done as part of a league wide action. TV has to pay, why shouldn't the press.

I am not sure how I feel about this On one hand someones age should not determine whether you are fit to do your job, however I can foresee problems where old employees who start to lose their faculties are subjected to the indignity of being disciplined for not doing the job well enough. Then will employers be forced to take their age into account and make allowances. Its the right thing to do, but a can of worms none the less

The trouble is there will be one, by 2034 there will be 3.5m people over 85. (1984: 660K) The additional costs in terms of pensions and health etc will be huge as the over eighty fives consume a greater proportion of public services than over age groups. There will not be enough taxpayers to generate the revenues needed. On the up side, I will be a pensioner by then so it will be all you nippers out there keeping me in the lifestyle to which I have become accustomed.

Reality check - we are a league 1 club. I can't believe that people expect us to sell 18k+ season tickets. Yes we have great prospect of going up this year, but it's still (based on leagues) 3rd rate football.

SFC will not sell 20,000 season tickets until there can be a guarentee of consistently decent football week in week out. That is never gonna happen in League 1.

Should men get bigger pensions than women seeing as they will live five years less (on average), it seems to me that men are subsidising the pensions of the women.
