  1. My bigger concern as it unfolded was he might clatter the Preston bloke and a straight red. Three game ban isn’t it ? That would have bollocksed the play offs.
  2. Others said when he joined that he had elements of Boruc about him. Have to hope that was his ‘Boruc at Emirates’ moment and he’s got it out of his system
  3. Had read that their away form has been a strength this season, but having checked it’s much the same as ours over the season
  4. And starting Quarshie last match as well. Don’t think that’ll happen this time.
  5. I thought Kraft had been moved out some time ago.
  6. Know any good bookshops ?
  7. Their fans up there with the bestest. Nathan publicly identified and criticised them for it.
  8. Good point. Remarkable that Still and Bazunu’s parents chose the same middle name for them though. Have to look on the Watford forum for a clue on Stil’s brother. Perhaps it’s Edward Cunting Bastard Still.
  9. Lego or ‘LinkedIn Liam’ definitely a choice of hipsters. But doubt Liam’s stock has fallen to L1 level yet, and he’s probably still on a good severance from Chelsea. I suspect they’ll try and poach the Lincoln manager. Bigger club etc, even if in a lower league.
  10. Not Man City’s finest moment. Forgot to mention it to any of their fans on Saturday. Bet they airbrush that out of the club DVD’s up there as well.
  11. If we don’t go up, the reason is summed up in three words: Will fucking Still.
  12. Didn’t stop them two years ago. An embarrassing event in a largely empty stadium after a 1-0 defeat to Stoke.
  13. Received this today. Now surely L1 is enough punishment for them.
  14. Must admit I’m not too caught up in the ill will towards Leicester, especially after the rat faced cunt Vardy left. They’ve done this season what many on here feared we would, and the appointment of Still might have delivered. But there is one twat I’d like to see enjoy L1 next season. Or perhaps I should just “grow up”.
  15. Yes, that game was memorable for the support and day out. One lasting memory is that they were filling up the open terrace in sections, and would hold back people until each section was full. You had to enter from the higher level at the back of the terrace. Frank Sinatra ‘New York, New York’ was in the charts at the time and playing. Some bloke decided to break through the Police cordon at the back to walk down the empty terrace acting out a Sinatra impression with the music playing, strutting and high kicking for the chorus. It caused quite a response from the crowd. The Police and stewards let him have his moment of fame and glory before letting the next batch of fans into his stage and terrace.
  16. Wonder if it’ll be as friendly v Millwall in the playoffs if it happens?
  17. Where was that ? We thought we might see some at Reading station on the way back but none. Couple of young saps commented 2-1 and “fuck off Southampton” to us, no idea who they supported, just being arseholes. But we were also approached by an Arsenal fan, on the way back from the Emirates commiserating on the result and that everyone at their game was really willing Saints to win. Quite a buzz there when hearing we’d taken the lead apparently. City fans we spoke to on the tube and on the way back were fine. Although there were some gobby fuckers on both sides also wanting to be heard.
  18. I like Tonda’s controlled reaction at the end. Not charging down the touchline like a deranged loon, or doing a Klopp/Mourinho impression.
  19. Thanks. Good luck to Winchester in their playoffs. This presumably is the same Winchester club that Saints signed Terry Paine from. I had a read about the club on Wikipedia. Interesting to see they were formed in 1884. Seems strange that Winchester had a football club before Southampton.
  20. Where are Winchester in the league pyramid (by comparison to Sholing for example)?
  21. Poor from the commentator. I was expecting him to work this into it: “ Lisa Stansfield, Gracie Fields, Cyril Smith , we’ve given your boys a beating ..”

    Welington

Got to say, I’ve not previously been impressed, but he certainly rose to the challenge yesterday.

Perhaps we didn’t want to risk a recurrence before yesterday.
  24. I’d rather he had a good rest ahead of next season.

    Caspar Jander

Great that he’s living up to hopes and expectations. Hope we can keep him for another season, whichever division we’re in.
