  1. That’s both Dyche and Woy who’ve come into their clubs and turned things round. But not for us. Thanks Rasmus, you cunt.
  2. We had a few 1-0 defeats along the way, had we turned some of those round we were challenging for Europe. We were that close to a successful season. Fine margins # and all that. ~ from Planet Rasmus, and his marginal gains in a relegation season critical assessment talk. (No mention of appalling recruitment, and the lunacy of the Jones appointment).

Think you’re overplaying and putting too much reliance on having an ‘affinity’ with a club where it simply didn’t work out for him.

They purchased the club early 2022 didn’t they ? So even if it did start before them , they’ve had ample opportunity to address it. Last summer possibly, and certainly in November but have royally bollocksed it.

Difference is that we were the only ones offering Hoddle rehabilitation at the time. Unlikely Potter won’t have more attractive offers still in the Premier League.
  6. Doubt he’s even registered on Ankersen’s radar or got his name on a spreadsheet yet. As Lee on Solent says he hasn’t done much at Ashton Gate and a few weeks ago there were rumbles from some supporters there wondering how he was still in a job.
  7. Yes, the fear of someone cancelling a Ted Talk, or declining to publish his latest motivational book must keep him and his ego awake at night.
  8. Having been at West Ham last week I can say, we have tried it, and on that showing probably not worth persevering.

    All routes lead to Ankersen.
  10. This is a bit like a Rasmus theory on Fine Margins# from one of his online Ted Talks. Or perhaps you lifted this from Rasmus’ Easter Message ?

Might as well tweet: Poch is eyeing the Southampton job and doesn’t give a shit if they go down as his wife pines for Chilworth, (Winchester or wherever he lived) and the West Quay Shopping Centre. Just as likely to happen given the caveat Potter has placed on it.

Okay, so going back to the point I was responding to, would you look to appoint a manager with no previous experience? Or be happy with the choice if the club did ?

Fair point, I too have little confidence in them (Rasmus) and the selections. That said, Jones did have a record in the Championship as a manager. It wasn’t and shouldn’t have been enough for his appointment, and we all knew it was destined to fail. But it was a track record of some description.
  14. Morgan has gone downhill ever since leaving us. It doesn’t appear that the transitioning and sex change, along with converting to a new sport has helped either.

Agree that we’d stand a good chance of attracting him to the club, and that he has potential to make a decent manager. He was an excellent leader in the pitch but you’re probably overestimating his influence as Lovren, Alderweirald, were internationals on arrival, and VVD reasonably established. In terms of our next manager, and red and white tinted glasses aside, should we entrust it to an untried candidate? Probably won’t happen as it seems unlikely Rasmus will delve into our history. Strikes me as someone who believes the club only started the day he arrived.
  16. I'm not convinced that Semmens would be the decision maker in this. Gao was the one selling the club and the critical thing to him would be the ££, not the remaining board. Semmens may well of course filtered the applicants but it seems unlikely that Gao or his agents weren't closely scrutinising the bids and interest.
  17. Time will tell, but have to wonder how well connected he will prove to be. If our next manager is brought in having only previously coached Man City youth sides, then t will be a great concern. But perhaps no surprise.
  18. Mara was a questionable choice today, and the non-selection of Alcares who has looked one of more threatening players was ridiculous.
  19. Might not be any worse than what we've experienced for the last four months, even though he died about 24 years ago.
  20. The clear out should begin at a higher level than squad, or manager. It should start with Rasmus W. Ankersen for the Jones experiment, and those responsible for the shocking recruitment.

No way of breaking it to you gently, but it is a project he can, and even if offered, will refuse.

Agree. Is it time for an 'open letter' or a fly-by with a message ?
  23. From the (black and white) archives : Ron Davies, John McGrath, Jimmy Gabriel. Then; Alan Ball, Jimmy Case, 1976 Edition - Peter Rodrigues, Mel Blyth, David Peach 1990's : Dean Richards More recent: Lambert, Fonte Schneiderlin Worst Carillo probably tops the list, but others in the hall of shame are Forren, Hoedt. Longer memory shit signings - Dixon, Speedie, Mark Hughes .... and if we can include free's in the good signings then I'd add Scott Marshall OG in the worst.
  24. When Semmens said he and Ralph had identified someone who had then taken a post in the Premiership and was doing well, I thought this was a reference to Vieira . It seemed to coincide with his start at Palace. Not making a case for him, but I suspect he’s been on our radar before.
  25. Tuchel obviously fed up of waiting for us to approach him. He knows he missed out after Reid approached him all those years ago but clearly wasn’t prepared to wait around again.
