  1. In a nutshell. Poor recruitment was Ralph's undoing in my view, and it hasn't helped Lego either, although he manages to compound it by his insistence on pissing around at the back, selections, and it seems a lack of fitness among the squad. I'm all for changing the manager, but to reap any real benefits the club has to get its recruitment right.
  2. A new one every day...
  3. Taken from the BBC site RM is quoted as saying: Now it might have been taken out of context in that he was talking of the early stages of the match, but otherwise he's clearly deluded and can't really expect others to believe it was a good match, and toe to toe.
  4. I think you might be overplaying the 'connection' with the club' to be honest, and we don't really know how the relationship here really ended. As a longer term option rather than 'quick fix' , I agree with you, but would see that kind of appointment more likely at the end of season rather than now.

Doubt it will hit Rasmus too hard or affect his glittering career. Rasmus strikes me as one of those cunts who are Teflon coated no matter what (I'm sure we've all encountered them in our working lives). If we were doing well he'd be at the forefront taking the praise but disappears when it goes tits up. We're frequently reminded of his 'wider role', and of course how well Goztepe are doing.
  6. With Chemical Ali delivering the message
  7. But predictable. Not sure if this is intended about RM or Rasmus. Sad thing is, it applies equally to both.
  8. Depends on the sending off. A good crunching tackle sometimes you can often excuse, even applaud depending who it’s on ! But pulling a blokes hair is pretty bloody stupid. And not a red card in my view either.

Bald bloke with his back to the window towards the left. Perhaps it’s Gregg Wallace being offered the role as club’s head of PR

I think you’re clutching at straws Glos Saint. It’s probably just the Christmas piss up, where they gather and smugly congratulate each other on how well they’ve done. Probably discuss a bit of business as well. Things like extending Martin’s contract again.
  11. He certainly is, given the way we're run...
  12. Now having a sulk and wants out in January according to reports. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/chelsea-lesley-ugochukwu-southampton-loan-34221017.amp Shame as thought he might offer something in joining. Left wondering if he’s crap or under-utilised and just pissed off.
  13. Obviously drained the battery pack 🪫 quicker than the skates thought it would.
  14. But when he does get fit it’ll feel like a new signing again …
  15. The club have been fairly guarded over this, but this might very well now be injury Mk III or Mk IV.
  16. There’s been a slight change needed to your post
  17. Have to wonder if he’ll ever play for us again. Shame as I think he could have been the striker we needed. But it remains a ludicrous gamble signing him when we did with his injury at that point, and it’s only got worse since.
  18. Looked pretty average last season.
  19. Staggering how inept we are when it comes to recruitment. How, why has it become so chronic ?
  20. Middlesbrough did this years ago when they brought in Venables to "assist" Bryan Robson. But if his contract says he is First Team Coach then that's what he remains.
  21. Yes, commented on this on another thread. He did accept that the goal “was on him” , but no real humility in that. Interview got worse trotting out his usual mantra of being brave, and how if we continue to play like that “ they’ll be alright”.
  22. And they used to say in one advert that “a finger of fudge is just enough..”
  23. Were any of the ‘gang of three’ there yesterday to witness it first hand ?
  24. True, but are you relying on our travelling support to provide that ? Probably a fair proportion of ‘noddy support’ in our allocation.
  25. On the contrary, he’ll revel in being the centre of attention, especially if it brings a bit more publicity to hype the ‘brand’.
