I think that must have followed him for a decade !
-
I remember an older relative speaking of him that he had tremendous potentail had he lived , but then described as a bit of a brylcream boy ! Seems had he lived he might have been one of football's first pin up type players, a few years before Best and co in the 1960's. Similar to Winnersaint I'd read he was likely to have been England captain by 1962 WC.

A good read also: https://www.expressandstar.com/news/Features/2021/08/16/short-but-glittering-career-of-midland-football-legend-duncan/

Tells it's own story. But who knows maybe we've seen something to develop. Huge risk though if we're relying on him for goals next season. If we're in discussion with RB Salzburg, then Sesko (who someone flagged up on here a few days ago) looks a better prospect, but still young and inexperienced.
-
Was that the same bloke as Ruddock headbutted at The Dell after running half the length of the pitch ? Think he wss playing for Notts County at the time.
-
Not impressed with that. John McGrath could manage at least half a dozen, possibly using his head along the way also. Mind you that wasn't with the ball it was using the opposition centre-forward. That's the sort of CB we need.
-
Agree. Nothing really stood out on the youtube clips of him. Another speculative gamble on an inexperienced player if it happens.
-
First part seems pretty optimistic to buy three attacking players at the level required, although Adamu is unproven but still £10mplus it seems. Second part - Svanberg, from the clips seen and the Swedish fans comments doesn't seem a Romeu type DM to break up the opposition etc. Diallo ? Haven't we seen enough of him to realise he's a pretty tame stand in for JWP.

5'2" according to that ?

Leeds, Liverpool and Villa seem to have been active recruiting in Scotland so they’re probably in the frame.
-
Wonder if this might be a sign for Saints, and a loan to one of the Sport Republic outposts. Gdańsk or Second division football in Turkey could be a difficult one to sell to UK based players. Thanks
-
Was a good GK over his career. I’d far rather the Kasey Keller we had on loan towards the end of his career to either FF or AM that we’ve had over the last 4-5 years. None in the Niemi league mind.

the commentary " forty games without a goal.." is more telling than the gaoil as good as it was. Sahme it didn't happen for him more often, he had the talent.
-
This type of player seems to ahve been thrown up by our scouting too often. Hopefully the 'Blackbox' with the Rasmus update will prove better.
-
Anders goal in second match, good chance to reminisce.
-
Good enough to knock Argentina out of the World Cup. I'm sure Svanberg would be happy to match that. Also remember Anders' part in the demolition of Hoddle's spurs in the 3rd round FA Cup tie. No too shabby. Would agree though that AS did seem a bit lightweight on occasion.
-
Well done, Maya. A bit of scouting for us wouldn't go amiss either, Celtic seem to pick up some handy players for small fees there.
-
I think you're right in how it used to be, but I'm not sure this is such a recent change. I recall an interview with Lawrie when he was DoF saying clubs couldn't speak to players, but there was nothing to stop them from speaking with their agents. It does seem that buying clubs and agents though are now more blatant in their actions, without giving a monkeys about any standards.
-
That might be optimistic. Suggest 30 first half minutes at Tottenham if Kane, and Son are firing on al cylinders. Equally good opportunity for ABK to cement himself in SFC folklore by crushing Son (preferably without looking to match or better Jankewizc's 90 second assault at OT).
-
Sounds a promising player, but whether it is right for us to go with inexperience will soon to known. I've a big fear of Danso MKII if left to sink without some more experienced heads around him.
-
Haven't we been here before ? Botman was about £9m when Lillle signed him. About the same time we signed Salisu.
-
Probably not his finest performance. Can only hope... But a least he knows how to be on the end of a thrashing, and the team falling apart.
-
That's a given with our defenders . Come back to the same point though, no matter how good he and Salisu are, and their 'limitless' potential... we need an older experienced head in the team, and especially at the back.
-
Providing he isn't the second coming of Danso...

Would prefer an ice hockey team, if we're going back to older sports we used to have (assume there was a speedway team once). Used to enjoy the Vikings in the 1970's.
