Bring Ings , and have a party.

Not sure if this is the point, rather than outcome, but possibly to spend best part of £100m on some duds who will seriously handicap us by FFP rules when promoted gain for 2026/7 season.
-
Agree, but finding one of those that is affordable is more challenging.

Winners of the Dystopian Premier League .... (you'll never sing that)
-
And as soon as the Wolves game is over it will be "well, no point bringing anyone in as no one (apart from one Welsh bloke) would want to face Liverpool first match)..."

Saturday’s was a pretty low one. Going back a few years though (1977) Rudi Glockner sticks in my mind. German refereeing v Anderlecht. Sent Jim Steele off I think. Certainly got a crowd response going off at the end, a lot more than the panto booing this week. It’s all a bit tame now on that front. On Saturday the ref made me cast my mind back to Saints v Pompey 1974 when some bloke came in the pitch to have a go at the ref, who also sent Jim Steele off.

If RM is here for 10 years then I'll be gone long before he sees his decade out with us. Even if I'm still breathing at the end of that period I won't be travelling to St Mary's to watch our CB passing it between themselves, and falling apart at a moments notice. Might be time to start watching Gloucester play rugby more often. (They've lost the last two matches after being ahead at HT so it might not be such a culture shock after all)

I’ve had similar thoughts about Vardy ever since the VVD incident. But then think, isn’t being married to Rebekah Vardy punishment enough ?
-
He probably thinks he knows it all already. Probably won’t listen.
-
Would we expect anything different ?
-
Thanks, wasn't aware of that. I think he worked with Ralph as well at some point.
-
Would have expected him to have been part of Tuchel’s back room team. Think he’s been with him for his recent jobs.
-
Wolves will also have the good sense to change manager rather than stand by an underperforming one. As will Palace. And probably Leicester.
-
Fucking hell, don’t do that, had a momentary heart failure before I got to the end of that sentence.
-
Never heard of him in the sense not passed the name, or you have a name but not heard of him* .Any clue on nationality, etc ? * assume it’s a him. ( Once won a match in the Bulgarian Second Division - he’ll do …)
-
Oh fuck! Does that mean another obscure appointment with no track record, pulled out of the ether or cyber world by the Rasmus Ankersen random name generator ? How else Nathan Jones and Russell Martin came to the forefront of their thinking I’ll never know.
-
Don't disagree with that.

Either they’re not being coached defensively, or they are but they’re not listening. If they won’t listen to him, then another reason to get someone in they respect (as opposed to like) and will listen to. Where I have some sympathy with RM is the lack of leadership on the pitch. Downes does not seem to be an organiser on the pitch that we need despite being yesterday's captain.. To some degree this comes back to piss poor recruitment. (not critiscising the signing of Downes, but some leadership on the pitch is needed also).

No mistaking fucking Rylan though unfortunately.

I read this week that Paul Tisdale has been appointed as head of football operations at Celtic. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/articles/ced03v536qgo made me think, he's possibly the sort of person that could have completed a similar role for us, has had practical management experience, and widely regarded as a fairly astute. If he can be entrusted with a role at club playing in Europe every season he clearly has something to offer. But of course probably wouldn't fit in with the Ted Talk, skinny jeans culture that our man behind a "philosophy" of reinventing the game has set in place.

Dragan isn’t the main offender though is he, he’s actually put money into the club? Rasmus has rightly (or wrongly in one poster’s eyes anyway) been identified as the (pantomime) villain.
-
Easier said than done. We’ve been here several times before. Is this time for an open letter, and fly past message ?
-
Some interesting points raised there, but so far only Forest and Wolves have raised their heads. Not making too many friends in the process. I think a self imposed independent review would at least establish confidence in the system.
-
All I saw was the standard referee checking for possible foul (or penalty, can’t recall precise phrase). After they scored it, the score briefly went back to 0-0 (perhaps a default option), before they updated it to 2-2. Perhaps someone could look into a way of hacking the system. ‘The refs a bald cunt’ would have been a good summary to display yesterday.

To balance things re Gerald Ashby he was also the ref who gave the penalty when Rod Wallace went over in injury time v Newcastle, c1989. Ruddock scored it.
