Only been at two clubs, hardly a journeyman. Although in fairness his departure from Mainz was clearly not amicable, to the point he was placed on gardening leave rather than allowed to move on immediately.

John Noakes the Ultimate Blue Peter Presenter has passed away
Badger replied to John Boy Saint's topic in The Lounge
Sad news, especially that he's suffered from Alzheimers in his last years. As I said on the David Bobin thread, another voice from my childhood/teenage years gone. -
Stop dithering Saints... make a decision .

If that is the away kit (is it navy or black with ?blue) then there very well could be a third yellow away kit as it would be needed at Newcastle, West Brom, Huddersfield, and Brighton, possibly even at spurs, and of course if we need to change for a cup final.

Reading was an easier location to get to, although doubt we'd get enough tickets. Pleased for Huddersfield, good memories of our run in in L1 with them and Brighton, and also remember them from the old Division One days of Frankie Worthington playing for them.

Neil McCann has left Dundee if anyone's interested so will be available.

Don't disagree with you on this, but I'm struggling to see how some may see this and other individual failings as a stick to beat Puel with. Not a Puel fanatic by any means but he did have some pretty blunted tools to work with at times.

Just read this on the BBC feed from the Play Offs for those putting forward Japp Stam yesterday :

Didn't the French ransack the city once in 1338, and the site of St Mary's Church ? Some people have long memories.

Sad to read this as I'm one of the older ones Florida Martin refers to and recall David Bobin on Southern before later stations, TVS and then Meridian. Late 70's, early 80's he was the voice that accompanied Saints coverage on the local ITV news.I seem to recall he was quite prominent in reporting the Keegan signing, and although covering all the clubs in our region seemed to have an affinity with Saints. Only saw him on Sky once whilst at a friend's house, so remember him from his Southern days, in black and white. Another voice from my childhood/teenage years gone. RIP David, and thanks for conveying the Saints news long before we had the internet or 24 hour rolling coverage.

Pelligrini would represent a bit of an embarrassing u turn for Saints as it was said we discontinued interest as he wasn't thought to meet the playing youth requirement.
-
Pelligrini was also strongly linked last summer.

Depends which version we get, Dutch Total football MKI (Poortvliet & Wotte), or MK II

Most of us wanted to keep a progressive manager who had spent the previous season in the Championship rather than an unheard of Argie bloke who had recently worked in Spain once upon a time.
-
No gloating on my part, I recall how we too were perennial relegation battlers at The Dell. And but for Le Tiss we'd have fallen through the trap door in a few seasons.
-
I work with a Sunderland supporter who expressed the same disbelief that we might consider changing manager after a season they could currently only dream of.
-
Like Stam though, he's only shown success at one club, and only for one season. Will that be enough for Les?
-
Or David Wagner. Other theories: Or having seen the domestic cup final over, perhaps an approach for Enrique. Or the fallout at Dortmund, or PSG. Perhaps the last three are unlikely. Or at the other end of the scale Exeter's L2 play off as we're waiting on Paul Tisdale.(again unlikely, but a theory none the less). Going back to Stam though he probably hasn't done enough as in his end of season broadcast last season Les made a point of talking about managers experience at more than one club, and even country was mentioned.
-
Gives us time to line up the replacement then. Unless of course we want to leave it until late on as we normally do.
-
Perhaps we're looking for a Burley resolution - being paid for him to leave.
-
Les is still reversing into a parking bay.
-
Other unsubstantiated speculation though might involve: agreeing terms of leaving Having to report back to Ralph/Kat The sale of the club timing - awaiting a "nod" from a preferred replacement Is there a review with players conducted ? If so they may wish to guage any feeling. Or Les is preoccupied preparing his end of season video briefing.

Doesn't the area holding the name also have to be solid ? In which case it would be shoulder to shoulder rather than a solid block stripe down the back. Hope you're right though so we can have the kit we've all wanted for years.
