  1. And what influence or sway will KL hold with 20% ? If they start doing a SISU with 80% control she is not going to be able to put a halt to it.

  3. I think it was previously suggested that the period of exclusivity was signed 11th November. Lander have previously released a statement (in January) which was premature. Can this be relied on ? But if taken at face value it does look to be advanced. Disappointed that the unproven Lander Group will be the dominant owner if they're taking 80%, don't see KL will have much influence in this case.

Living in Gloucestershire I have a bit of a vested interest in the relegation scrap in L2 with Cheltenham in the mix. Hartlepool seem to have plummeted into it. Looked on their forum earlier and found this: http://www.pooliebunker.co.uk/newbunker/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=60989 Seems familiar from his time with us when he was often accused of being passionless.
  5. Agree, very underestimated. Armstrong was consistent through the 1980's and played an important part in three quite different Saints teams in that decade, the Keegan- Channon- Ball one touch side, the 1984 team (S/F & RUNNERS UP), and then after Lawrie left he was an important part of Nichol's first year (maybe two) playing LM, and at time LB & sweeper. Despite the changing position in the side I think he was our top goalscorer for much of that season also.
  6. There is certainly some history of ill feeling dating from this time on reading some of the history books, but in my lifetime, and following Saints from around the same era as you it has been more to do with Chivers, 1978 promotion etc. Strange that Saints always had a good relationship with Arsenal often reported at Board level but never the yids. Just when things steadied down a bit the whole hatred of spurs is reinvigorated by the Hoddle saga, Dean Richards, and more recently of course Poch. As things stand I can't really say I'm anti -Poch anymore, you have to admire his style of play etc, and some of the thunder has been taken by Koeman's departure. Still have an intense disliking of their club though, and many of the players especially Mong and Alli. Pleased Chelsea beat the c^nts tonight.
  7. So how does this work then, these ultimatums that if Puel remains we're off kind of issues ? Does it remain tittle-tattle on the training ground and in changing rooms, or do their agents bombard Les Reed with this ?Alternatively does Kelvin as a player liaison, or whatever his role is, get to take this back to Reed?
  8. Yes to both, although it was probably only on here.

    SISU

This should be compulsory reading for those desperately wanting KL to sell to a far east consortium.
  10. It has been made by a group who proclaim to be under 5's though.
  11. I've always had a soft spot for Argyle, and am warming to them even more: http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=99180&start=39 Didn't take them long to work the skates out.

Is this to be his 'Gaston - remember the Villa match' trump card ?
  13. Not asking for much then ? Don't think Puel deserves the push although I'm not totally convinced he's the right man. Difficulty is though that I'm not sure we'd attract anyone significantly better. Playing wise - some improvements throughout are required GK, CB, and MF. Full backs also if we allow Cedric & Bertrand to leave. Aims (as ever) - cup runs, and EL qualification. (Then to spend the following season complaining about rotation and fixture congestion no doubt).
  14. According to some on the Mongboard we've not recovered from letting Wotton go.
  15. This was the same game when his blonde photographer girlfriend was spotted walking naked around the pitch carrying a camera.
  16. Saw the back page of the Star today with a feature about Cedric headlined 'Saints will know when to let me go'. I didn't read the article as it was inside the paper or a supplement, but the headline indicates a bit of posturing and indecent haste looking for the summer exit door already. Of course the headline might be misleading and he goes on to say he wants to still be playing for us aged 65 or something.
  17. Looks like Jose's move to West Ham has done a lot to calm the dressing room spirit there: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-ham-facing-string-summer-10228154
  18. Not often a team containing Best, Charlton & Law are stuffed like that.
  19. Just had a look on the Argyle forum: http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=99180 Found the link to this, what a sad collection of low life specimens found amongst the skates.
  20. Shame Ron Davies wasn't available due to injury, but good job Jimmy Gabriel could play up front (and score the winner).
  21. As was Theo if you listen to 'arry.
  22. I'd be surprised if Forster is top of Arsenal's GK list.
  23. I'm still more inclined to take my chances with my stairs than an Islamist nutter behind the wheel of a truck.
  24. I think the last spot will be between Swansea and Hull, although would prefer it to be West Ham or Palace. Sunderland , and probably Middlesbrough look booked for it. But didn't we all think the same about Leicester two years ago ?
