Rupert Lowe was pilloried and crucified for less. Rupert would be an improvement on the current owner. That's how poor it has become. Whilst most people disagreed with Lowe at the very least he had a strategy and would from time to time be prepared to outline it.

Reed, Wilson, and Gao spring to mind as being culpable for our current predicament.

Players are weak , feeble, with no desire. This is the culmination of Les Reed's tenure at the club which has been going down the sh!tshoot since Koeman left. Poor appointments and poor recruitment. Have to feel sorry for Ralph having to cope with this squad. He probably wanted Augustin, but Les's protege Wilson, brings in Che Adams, now a bench warmer. CB, three years without a decent recruit. That said, some of RH's selections are baffling to say the least.

Either that, or an fall out with Ralph. Either way, might be best if he blurts it out, lances the boil, and the club can move on. Trouble is that yet again we can't move the players on.

Look on the bright side, at least we don't have to worry about conceding a last minute equaliser or winner.

This for me is the critical thing. Ralph has proved himself in Germany, we won't get a better option. I feel sorry for him, working with the Reed assembled backroom of Watson and Davies, and the sh!t squad. Above all the biggest problem is clearly Gao. Bet he can't wait to see the "passion" in the Championship.

Thought we had replaced him with another German bloke (who had previously worked with Rodger Schmidt somewhere).Whether he was the ideal appointment, or RH's choice is another matter.

Accrington Stanley truly are on the cusp of becoming a global force though. Don't think we should pillory the skates too much for this.

Trouble is that this has only been mooted by an internet post. Possibly just wishful thinking on the part of the poster.

I don't see it as a big loss either. I've previously posed the question on here, as to what was his track record to make him such an attractive option to Les Reed ? To date no one has provided any suggestions. Hardly surprising as I can't see anything noteworthy in his time at previous clubs. Huddersfield's rise and the appointment of David Wagner occurred about a year after he left.

Was this the site referred to as Western Esplanade ? If so I only remember the talk in the late 1970's.

Isn't this just a modern trend and fad in many industries and professions though ? Measuring KPI's, SLA's and whatever other buzzwords and crap management speak come up with. Your last sentence could read for any organisation by changing reference to football and footballers to sales/surveyors/technicians/ whatever. Seems that we're turned crap on the pitch, and although this probably manifests itself in the data, the critical thing is - despite all the analysts - that no one is able to alter it. Sums up many companies. Someone commented about 15 years ago that for everyone doing the job there were about two people measuring it.

Got to say I don't recall Tim Flowers being particularly mistake ridden, although it is a fair time ago now of course, so maybe the memory is letting me down. I seem to recall at one point some questioning why Chris Nicholl was persevering with Burridge when Flowers was waiting in the wings. In hindsight CN was probably protecting Flowers. Burridge on his day though was a good GK, probably better than we have now, but would probably be deemed too short in the current game by many although his agility often made up for it. Hope Gunn reaches the standard of Tim Flowers, but like Ohio I've yet to see it. TF was regarded as an exceptional prospect outside of Southampton from an early stage.

That would be an interesting and positive selection. Trouble is though that we can bandy all sorts of names about but ultimately it comes down to Gao, or his board (presumably Martin Semmens now) convincing candidates of the ambition and drive to make things happen. On this basis I wouldn't be too optimistic of landing anyone with a decent proven track record or that we've heard of.
