Out of interest where does Noah Liebherr fit into the order of things ?
-
Now that would be a major turn up, if they were to install him as a CEO.
-
Don't you think Saints & Leicester are possible exceptions to the rule though ? Think Venky's, Tan, Hull City, Villa (Lerner), and so on.
-
Spot on. Rather reluctantly I have to agree, but my preference is to maintain the stability of the Liebherr ownership. Although Leicester obviously buck the trend, the Far Eastern ownership does not look too great an attraction although its early days for Wolves, Villa and so on. Beware of SISU MK II.

Big Ron rather than Chivers for me. And Channon of course. And Mark Dennis. And Niemi.
-
There were grounds for realistic concern over the fitness of both Austin and Rodriguez.
-
Not controversial in the slightest, although I hope it doesn't take the thread off on a tangent. Biggest cause of regret is not reinforcing our options up front, as many posted on here that neither Long nor Rodriguez could be relied upon as regular goalscorers, even IF they are fit. Not sure what the attacking options are for Thursday, Austin, Austin, and perhaps Austin.

Kane wasn't as prolific during hs loans out as you might suspect. 2011 → Leyton Orient (loan) 18 (5 goals) 2012 → Millwall (loan) 22 (7) 2012–2013 → Norwich City (loan) 3 (0) 2013 → Leicester City (loan) 13 (2 Taken from Wikipedia. Roughly one goal in three at Orient, and Millwall. Both at a lower level than Gallagher is currently playing in. To be fair though perhaps Gallagher's time at MK might also be factored in. Of course comparisons are pretty useless, but there was nothing really in his time away, from the stats above to suggest Kane would turn out to be the player he has become for Spurs. Just hope Gallagher maintains his form at Blackburn and returns as the player we hope him to be.

I doubt we'd release Bertrand soon to leave ourselves with two inexperienced and to some extent unproven players competing for that position. At the end of the season of course things may be different. The most likely outcome is the loan out of Targett or McQueen once RB's fitness is fully proven but even this could depend on our likely fixtures in the new year (League, EFL, EL, FA Cup).
-
Think we should start a sweepstake as to when the press start linking him with bigger clubs, Arsenal in particular. If we knock them out of the EFL Cup then I suspect the rumbles may start in early December.

Players moving on the pretense of furthering their career, international prospects, or ambition is nothing new though, just that it used to be done with a little more dignity. Not saying they are enhancing those prospects, but that is how they have been dressed up over the years. I have read this on a couple of threads where we talk about someone coming back, and it is often said almost as a matter of principle that "they moved, so tough its not worked out... don't need them, don't want them etc. Question is how did you feel, if you were around at the time, with Saints bringing Channon back in 1979 ? I have to admit that, much younger then, I was of the view, no he moved on, wanted to go, its a retrograde step bringing him back. But I was proven completely wrong, he still had the enthusiasm for the club, and played some great stuff for the next couple of years.

Schneiderlin. Second choice would be Alderweireld. Mane is an outstanding prospect and talent, but I'm coming round to the hope that Boufal will lessen the loss (for a year or so, before he too chases a Chamions League dream elsewhere).
-
If only Miller hadn't been so keen to leave, and f^ck off to Brazil...
-
Probably his only one as well. I'd forgotten him, was rated highly when he first came into the side but career ruined by injury I think.
-
Clearly one of skatesmouth's finest. Classy bint.
-
Not sure how you draw that conclusion about him. Even at his peak, 2013-14 before his injury , he aways seemed to need about four chances before one came off for him. Plenty of attacking options, but Austin is the only real goalscorer amongst them (Boufal may of course prove otherwise).
-
Agree with this. I'd have preferred it if we'd started the Milan game with our strongest team (Fonte and Austin starting)and been prepared to 'sacrifice' City away.
-
Agree with you but Lineker has probably now spent too long among BBC media types and makes his comments for their consumption. Don't suppose he'll see many refugees camped or resettled near his home , 'children' or otherwise.

Truly the bestest, and most loyalest fans in the whole wide world.

Might depend on how Martina and Cedric cope with injuries.

this picture seems to fit quite well with this article as to how the scouse c^nt is endearing himself to other managers in the division: http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/derek-adams-unimpressed-with-very-vocal-portsmouth-boss-paul-cook/story-29811676-detail/story.html

Good idea except a bit too tuneless and monotone to make a terrace chant to be honest. I blame the original songwriter rather than you mind.

Thanks Hirosk. We too are looking forward to seeing him play for us, just hope he lives up the standard you've described, and our expectations of him.
