I thought it might be pronounced as in:

Decent player perhaps , but he has been in relegated sides for the last two years. So another one to add to the Leroy Fer, Caulker list perhaps.

no idea when its being released but can't be long now surely

You should send this design to the club for next season.

Honourable mentions to Doubt the new effort is up to this standard

Every year some on here suggest some impressive mock ups, and every year the effort selected by the club is not a patch on them.

Last game of the season.

Surprised we haven't been linked to the little winger from Midgytland, Pione Sisto, who played against us last year. He received some good right ups after they beat Man Utd and has been linked with a move to a bigger league.

Very few "names" fit the bill unfortunately. Of the names touted only Pelligrini leapt off the page, and as many have questioned, his age, ambition and track record of player development rather than being a cheque book manager would not have helped his cause. At the moment, on here anway, the two being discussed are Puel with some record in France of looking like he mihght fit us, and Silva an unknown quantity much younger and less experienced. Some just see him as a Poch II, but in truth none of us know. I keep reading conflicting things about Puel's style of play, from 'fast attacking exciting' to 'boring and defensive'. Perhaps some people have a downer on him because his name is too similar to Pulis. On other idle thought, wouldn't he have worked with Prost at some stage at Lyon ?

Reading up about Puel on the internet and found this tucked away: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/nice-manager-claude-puel-has-5701007

Don't worry, if he's as crap as you expect him to be he'll be gone by the end of October. Then we can bring Nigel back.

Thanks, interesting.

Not i particularly strong leagues though. French League isn't that strong but I suspect its stronger than either Portugal or Greece. You don't want a good coach who plays exciting attacking football then ? Or does Silva trump that in some way ? Not having a go at any of the above but I'm intrigued as to how such strong preferences can be formed, presumably from internet searches, rather than first hand knowledge of the two, unless of course close followers of French football, and Silva's career. Does Silva play exciting attacking football by the way ? From the little I've read on the internet Puel does appear a little more of a "cold" candidate, but I can't really justify that. Wonder if we're all expecting too much that by appointing a manager with Spanish or Portuguese experience it'll be Poch II without question, and we'll end up with "sexy football" as once termed. If you look at their careers, Puel appears to have had a more stable career in France, but with conflicting comments appearing about his style of play. As Gerbil says Silva's situation is a strange one, not just currently but his career. A meteoric rise with his club in Portugal (perhaps the Portuguese Eddie Howe?), before going to Sporting. But despite success there (cup win),and then Olimpiakos (league title) in the last two years he's left both after just a year in charge, one due to a dispute and then "personal reasons". So despite being a promising young coach there may be question marks over him if stability is key.

CONFIRMED - Mane joins Liverpool for £34m + £2m addons
Badger replied to toe_punt's topic in The Saints
Koeman can take him with him for a knockdown £15m. -
As he is meant to be commended by Wenger we might in 12 months be concerned about him buggering off to Arsenal. Perhaps it'll be a two horse race between him and RK.

.. and also the (smug) belief that because they appointed an unknown in Poch who proved his worth that we have a midas touch that will sniff out a gem every time. As many have alluded to, we may aim for another Poch, but end up with a Remi Garde.

I wouldn't expect any sightings of Jurgen Klinsmann in the Southampton area, full stop.
-
So at least it blocks off another route for Garcia.
-
Sounds dreadful.
-
You mean you'd actually heard of him before this evening?
-
Or Garcia even. Not that we have a good track record of signing £15m strikers from Serie A.
