A big solid F^CK OFF to that idea. Perhaps this is the start of the Les media spin so that when we start next season with no change many will conclude "at least we escaped the prospect of LVG"
  2. Not sure Monk would be an improvement on CP to be honest.
  3. £41.99 ? Christ on a bike !!! Talk about rip off - not even discounted for the fact it's changing in a few weeks. But as parents of course, we tend to stump up and pay it.
  4. Schar I think would be a good signing. He looks a decent penalty taker as well from videos seen. Semedo I've no idea about really.
  5. Bit unfair, you've only got to look at how successful the Chinese owners have been at Villa, Wolves & Birmingham in their managerial appointments to see how great things will be.

Hope he/she is correct. It does make sense that Saints may not be prepared to ditch Puel until a better replacement is lined up. But even so, this does seem too good to be true.
  7. Perhaps we should have just kept Tommy Forecast. As for coaching, we already have Dave Watson, and isn't Kelvin taking his coaching qualifications ? Perhaps Taylor is responsible for putting out the cones whilst Watson adjusts his hair.
  8. Didn't it have you in stitches ?
  9. Yes, he'll have it sewn up in no time.

Not excited by RDB or Ranieri to be honest.
  11. WTF would we offer an extended contract to a GK who has yet to feature in a match, and one who in truth we dare not let near a starting spot ?
  12. Anyone recall if Celtic are due a % from the sale?
  13. Article on his fall out: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/borussia-dortmund-thomas-tuchel-exit-10529357
  14. Had a similar thought that the home kit should be accompanied by a quality import from Germany - Tuchel, or Roger Schmidt would be a good start.

As with most summers really, be it transfers in, Toby, Gaston etc, Koeman leaving. #Wemuddleon
  16. Only been at two clubs, hardly a journeyman. Although in fairness his departure from Mainz was clearly not amicable, to the point he was placed on gardening leave rather than allowed to move on immediately.
  17. Sad news, especially that he's suffered from Alzheimers in his last years. As I said on the David Bobin thread, another voice from my childhood/teenage years gone.

Stop dithering Saints... make a decision .
  19. If that is the away kit (is it navy or black with ?blue) then there very well could be a third yellow away kit as it would be needed at Newcastle, West Brom, Huddersfield, and Brighton, possibly even at spurs, and of course if we need to change for a cup final.
  20. Reading was an easier location to get to, although doubt we'd get enough tickets. Pleased for Huddersfield, good memories of our run in in L1 with them and Brighton, and also remember them from the old Division One days of Frankie Worthington playing for them.
  21. Neil McCann has left Dundee if anyone's interested so will be available.

Don't disagree with you on this, but I'm struggling to see how some may see this and other individual failings as a stick to beat Puel with. Not a Puel fanatic by any means but he did have some pretty blunted tools to work with at times.
  23. Just read this on the BBC feed from the Play Offs for those putting forward Japp Stam yesterday :

Didn't the French ransack the city once in 1338, and the site of St Mary's Church ? Some people have long memories.
  25. Sad to read this as I'm one of the older ones Florida Martin refers to and recall David Bobin on Southern before later stations, TVS and then Meridian. Late 70's, early 80's he was the voice that accompanied Saints coverage on the local ITV news.I seem to recall he was quite prominent in reporting the Keegan signing, and although covering all the clubs in our region seemed to have an affinity with Saints. Only saw him on Sky once whilst at a friend's house, so remember him from his Southern days, in black and white. Another voice from my childhood/teenage years gone. RIP David, and thanks for conveying the Saints news long before we had the internet or 24 hour rolling coverage.
