  1. Can't think where he might have learnt about dodgy dealing ...
  2. .... but started his off the field football career with the Skates, working with 'arry !!! Even better.
  3. Are these two really compatible ?
  4. Badger

    Fraser Forster

Annoying that we didn't sign him when first talked about in 2012, although Brum were holding out for £6m at the time, eventually flogging him for £4m. Still we signed Gazzaniga instead.
  5. Interesting suggestion, and agree with Heisenberg about looking to recruit from lower leagues. But I'd not heard of him before, but on doing a search saw this on Wikipedia: So, he might be one for the future, but on reading this it raises the question in my mind - is he any greater potential than Jack Stephens, who similarly had a loan spell last season that was terminated for the same reason (coincidentally at Middlesboro...) ? Same question might be asked re the Polish U21 we've been linked with.
  6. Is this the same agent who engineered Koeman's move last summer?
  7. Yet, none of the three are keen to acknowledge their part in signing Forren around the the time during the same window. Strange that. Bit like no one was ever responsible for signing Delgado.
  8. Mitchell was a Reed appointment as I recall. Shame we can't entice him back, I don't know why but the same level of confidence doesn't seem to be generated from our dealings since Wilson has been at the club.Huddersfield don't appear to have been too disadvantaged by his departure from them either.
  9. Agree that Ruth Davidson is one of the more credible contenders for the leadership who would appeal to the electorate. Not sure that I'd agree that Corbyn is unelectable after this week though.
  10. Restating what we've read already, nothing new. Really ?
  11. Put simply it's a message to the player, "sorry we can't sign you in the way we wanted to, so its up to you now to throw a tantrum to get your move..."
  12. Very amusing: Posted by Alpine Scouse.
  13. Time will tell, but he didn't meet with universal approval so maybe we've ducked out of this one: Perhaps the last post is taken out of context, but perhaps appropriate...
  14. Agree. I can't think of a previous manager who has been left dangling like this. Although there were rumblings about both Pardew and Adkins being in line for the chop, the final execution of it was fairly swift, although of course we're not to know how long Poch was being courted before he agreed to join. That said, it wasn't played out in public.
  15. DITTO. If we overlook these two... just hope one or other , preferably TT , is lined up.
  16. He does have a point though.
  17. Seems a bit speculative to me. Obviously depends on German Law , but can a case be brought six years after someone dies ? Bearing in mind Marcus is no longer with us I'd have thought there would be some difficulty in presenting "evidence" when he's not around to answer the allegations against him? And if the estate has been passed on, can the tax duty be passed to others, especially if they are not resident in Germany ? Business as usual, Kat.
  18. If we end up with Monk then you have to ask if it is worth changing? Par for the last three summers really though, are you surprised? Good to know we've got the steady hand of Les steering the ship though, and up until last summer his record wasn't too bad (if you exclude the Toby f^ck up...),but at least this year we've not had the Les video yet.
  19. Don't completely disagree with you, but if you look at some of the figures being bandied about for untried teenagers (French kid at Monaco for £100m, Kyle Walker at £45m), £50-60m for a player proven at this level, and a class above most (Kyle Walker prime example) then Saints should look to maximise this if we have to sell due to the player wanting to go, or to reinvest sensibly.
  20. Saw that and thought the same. "Integrate" means on their terms, and we fully accept their customs, and no doubt in time their right to live by sharia law.
  21. That would be annoying.
  22. Probably depends if the terms of managing in the foreign league are sufficiently attractive to take a job now. Or perhaps its the Allardyce tactic of leave it until mid-season when a club is desperate enough to pay ridiculously over the going rate.
  23. Links to this: http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-transfer-target-virgil-van-13133831 which would support £70+
  24. £70m should be the starting point for the auction with some of the ridiculous amounts touted for importing quality players; VVD is the finished article and one of the best in his position in Europe. I wouldn't mind seeing a deal with Chelsea involving Christensen providing there's £60m cash involved as well. And wouldn't begrudge him a move to City - anywhere other than L/pool or spurs,(or the dugout c^nts).
  25. That's far too much like a common sense solution. I don't disagree with you though, but just watch all the simpering liberals scurry around bleating about human rights etc. It's nothing to do with Islam, nothing to do with migration etc.....
