If I had any last remaining doubts , you've convinced me - OUT !!!
-
Hope he'll pursue the claim for any lost interest.

Graziano Pelle starts again tonight for Italy on ITV4
Badger replied to Giordano's topic in The Saints
yes, but am embarrassing miss from that header in the first half. -
I like the comment: ... should have added not that his wife understood a f^ckin word of their accents though..

But a really sad indictment of English football is the lack of a genuine contender to replace him. 'arry ? Fat Sam ? Steve Bruce ? Gareth Southgate ? Whatever happened to those who were 'destined' to manage England one day, David Platte, and Bryan Robson ? Depressing really.

Welcome to our world of gloom, mediocrity, and expectation of failure. We've had much the same since about 1990 to be honest, although we did have a momentary flirtation with possible success in 1996 (although memories of that are perhaps only rose tinted because of our demolition of Holland 4-1, and the crowd singing football's coming home ad nauseum). Okay our results are excellent in qualifying, but we all know that will flatter to deceive and we'll underperform when on the big stage, probably going out on a penalty shoot out at quarter final stage. You'll have to join us as an armchair follower Van Hamegam. I'm sorry the Dutch probably won't be there. For me, remembering your total football years , one of the teams I look forward to seeing are your lot. And the other feature worth watching out for are some of the Dutch women in the crowds along with the Swedes, and even Germans... (Brazil in the WC can be added to that list of course).

Will vote 'out'. Although I have recently wondered if this is slightly heart ruling head. One of my biggest concerns about coming out is whether we will ever have a domestic Government fit to manage the country properly again. However Merkel's willingness to see Europe flooded with Syrians is a timely reminder that we can not allow the EU to dictate terms of how we conduct matters.

Yes but it doesn't matter that he's a level headed decent bloke who is a decent box to box midfielder who speaks to the kids, or that he can feed thousands with a few loaves or fishes in his spare time. Does he run round like a headless chicken and clap the fans ? He's no match for this fella: Prutton of Nazereth.
-
Did they say he was "saintly" ?
-
Because he doesn't play for Liverpool, Manc Utd, or Arsenal..
-
He started in the team but I think he has been used more from the bench recently. I did note this in the BBC report of their match at home to Leeds where they lost 1-2. I'd agree with you that he needs time, and I certainly wouldn't write him off as I was quite impressed with his early performances , before his family breavement and injury disrupted his progress. On the subject of Kane though I got the impression Poch was trying to offload him for a while, but was almost 'shamed' into playing him after he kept scoring in the Europa League. Now of course Poch is happy to take the credit.

.. and then seldom playing at Middlesbrough...

What an absolute spacker... that's worse than his Arsenal effort with us. Anyone heard from Irene lately ?
-
or we get at least three seasons out of him, rather than two.

Results I look out for rather than teams I follow: Cheltenham Town (local team) Then Exeter City, Plymouth Argyle. If I had to nominate a team in Scotland , as was a trend in the 80's, then Hearts. Europe: with RK here and the great posts we have from Feyenoord fans I occasionally glance at the Dutch league and wish them - and Arnham - well. In the premiership the only other club I have historically had a passing interest in is Newcastle. But now of course we all look fondly on our little cousins, the Cherries (not that they reciprocate of course!!, which makes it all the more fun.).

The problem with many of his appearances are not so much his own ability or effort, but that he is often ineffective in the way he is used or supported by others around him . Too often he is isolated without those who should be buzzing around him, Mane should be the perfect foil for him. As Saint Billy said his chest down yesterday is a perfect example of how he can be used if supported well. His goal yesterday also was a great strike, but on last season's statistics that would more likely to have rebounded off the post 8 times out of ten.He also need a fraction of luck to keep them the right side of the post, bar. Would love him to have a 20 goal season.

Made himself appear a knob.

Sign VW's replacement for next summer early ? But if he can't adapt to life at Porto, is he any more likely to settle in England ?
-
Byram at £8m, or a Potuguese bloke who we 'snatched' from under the noses of Stke (says a lot) for about £5m, then we don't think he's up to it ... so Yoshida, then Martina take precedence over him. Bit of a bollock dropped by the Black Box operator there it seems.
-
What is the purpose of having Martina on the bench ?
-
Thanks, van Hanegem.

On the topic of which here he is, sat behind Corbyn.
