Can't wait for Reed's summer exclusive interview telling us he's not worried, is relaxed about things, and everything in the garden is rosy. No doubt lapped up by the lesbians, before another exodus of players, and an early July appointment of a new manager.

Not by anyone or anywhere of note, but he was offered it in the summer of 2001 but declined it as Rupert wouldn't agree his backroom team coming.

Poor home form through the season, coupled with the recent goal drought I think they would. On the face of it our season overall has not been bad but I don't think many have confidence in the manager for next season. I do feel sorry for CP though who has not been helped by Reed's transfer dealings, and of course injuries, but you might expect a better showing over the last few weeks.

Hoping that's not our only line of enquiry , there are better options likely to be available in the summer. So are we expecting Reed to tell Bertrand and VVD for example, right he's gone now so we're not selling you and presumably your happy to stay ? As for trusting Reed's judgement... CP was of course his appointment, but as you say we should have our research done and know who we want to speak to which should extend beyond a list of one UK based foreign manager.

Most worrying thing in that article is the caption under a photograph of Ralph and Puel together. Seriously wonder if Reed can be relied upon to make this decision for the right reasons.

Arsenal might have a vacancy soon. Bet Silva doesn't appear on their shortlist.

Just wonder how many of the players agitating for Puel to be removed intend being here next season if they get their wish.

Would be pretty remarkable if we were able to bring him in given the reports about him etc, but probably unlikely that he'd be intersted ( lets be honest from the 80,000 gates at Dortmund to us is a bit of a come down).

I think he played for Villa against us at The Dell, or might have been Arsenal. Recollection is that he didn't have much to do, and we lost 4-0.

And his Director of Football who has been responsible for recruitment. Whilst Puel may have some flaws, he has been given a pretty sh!tty hand at times, and cursed by injuries. WTF would he consider doing that ? He's an experienced manager in his own right not a novice.

Spurs shirt looks seriously sh1t. Unlike our bra shirt, theirs makes it look as if you can see the outline of Kane's bra under his shirt.

Hope this last bit is not the case, don't think we need weeks of uncertainty and speculation.

Agree - great servant, money well spent. Other not so great record signings: Peter Osgood - he may have come good later but his first couple of months he was woefully unfit, and that didn't help our slump, culminating in relegation. Charlie George - not fit for the first season after signing.

The analogy is based on wanting a manager out, thinking that it would automatically herald an improvement, rather than contrasting their playing styles.

Stoke for next season has a white patch similar to Brighton (as do Dutch club Arnham, plain black on yellow/black stripes both by Macron). Celtic are hoops on the back, and from limited viewing of Newcastle's shirt this appears a full stripe on the reverse. Be interesting to see how many follow the plain backs ruling.

Point is probably that we went on a downward spiral pretty rapidly afterwards, due in part to poor transfer policy and some dubious managerial appointments over the next two seasons.

Wasn't Imbula linked with us before ? Possibly in 2015. Since we were linked with him he's failed to settle at both Porto and Stoke.Not sure he's a risk worth taking.
