  1. Looks like Jose's move to West Ham has done a lot to calm the dressing room spirit there: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/west-ham-facing-string-summer-10228154
  2. Not often a team containing Best, Charlton & Law are stuffed like that.
  3. Just had a look on the Argyle forum: http://www.pasoti.co.uk/talk/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=99180 Found the link to this, what a sad collection of low life specimens found amongst the skates.
  4. Shame Ron Davies wasn't available due to injury, but good job Jimmy Gabriel could play up front (and score the winner).
  5. As was Theo if you listen to 'arry.
  6. I'd be surprised if Forster is top of Arsenal's GK list.
  7. I'm still more inclined to take my chances with my stairs than an Islamist nutter behind the wheel of a truck.
  8. I think the last spot will be between Swansea and Hull, although would prefer it to be West Ham or Palace. Sunderland , and probably Middlesbrough look booked for it. But didn't we all think the same about Leicester two years ago ?
  9. From the 1970's this was the Panorama edition focusing on Millwall and their yobs. Quite controversial when it was aired, but amusing in hindsight looking at the 1970's styles etc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vKoYjOGOzXQ If you were around at the time to remember the Clough sacking at Leeds this is interesting viewing from Yorkshire TV's regional news programme featuring Brian Clough and Don Revie being interviewed side by side. The friction between them is clear. I can't imagine in the modern era with agents etc two managers conducting such a frank interview and exchange in this fashion. I only found this about a year or so ago, forty years after it was broadcast but still found it an eyeopener into the story. Clough shows all the mannerisms as to why he was hated by so many at the time.

    Puel out

Pure coincidence then that we've signed Pied, Boufal and Hassen from France then ? As opposed to Clasie, Marina et al when Koeman was manager.
  11. They could probably play Coco The Clown, or Ronald MacDonald there on Wednesday and they'll probably contain a JayRod (65 minutes)/Long(for the rest) strikeforce though. Its not opposition CB's that we have to worry about, its our own ineptitude in front of goal this season.
  12. I wonder if Poch will be interested in reigniting Rodriguez career, and if we could use that in some sort of exchange involving Trippier. Although I think he's overpriced at £12m given he's really only been a squad player at spurs.
  13. Might depend how desperate they are for VVD, especially if Man City are also in the race.
  14. Also on Chelsea's target list according to Evening Standard. http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/chelsea-want-to-bring-ryan-bertrand-back-to-stamford-bridge-with-southamptons-virgil-van-dijk-a3504006.html With Cedric linked to Barcelona brace yourself for the possibility that we could be starting next season with a completely new back 4.
  15. Chelsea also have this bloke who might be worth taking off their hands: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/3218672/andreas-christensen-chelsea-antonio-conte-return-gladbach/
  16. Isn't that about twenty years ?

    Shane Long

So, he can sing and he's now a recognised first aider. Would appreciate a few goals in his repertoire though.
  18. So that's Cedric - VVD - Bertrand, all linked with City in the last couple of months.
  19. Just seen that Blind has been sacked by Netherlands. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39400842 Wonder if it'll be a kiss and make up by their FA & Koeman, (if he doesn't get a sniff at the Arsenal or Barcelona jobs).
  20. I think after the last "leak" it was also suggested there were two other parties in the running, including another Chinese and an American interested, with the American's described as the preferred option.
  21. Hope they're not a Chinese SISU. Where's Paul Allen's yacht when you need him?
  22. Don't fall for that spin. It makes it sound as if they were going to be destitute and lining up at the soup kitchen had he stayed.
  23. Fraser's preferred method of stopping a low shot like that is to stick an ankle out at it.
  24. Suspect EH is more involved in things at AFCB than we seem to want our managers to be.
