  1. What is it with these fuckers, and the modern generation, and their beards ? I can understand the Hearts manager, not so well paid by EPL standards, having to supplement his relatively meagre wage by taking on a look for a walk on part as a Highlands or Islands crofter in 'Shetland' or such like, but RM ? Fucking hipster twat.
  2. On balance I think Bazunu edges it.
  3. This is something to feast your eyes on:
  4. Yes, I expected that. Fellows on the right wing, wearing 7 ( Paine’s old number) seemed appropriate.
  5. I thought it had already been bought for development of flats.
  6. I expect Pompey will buy him a new wig. They bought him a new bell after Wolves fans nicked it at Molineaux years ago. Perhaps in the interest of inclusivity and loving your neighbour Saints might allow a pitchside presentation of his wig on Sunday
  7. From what I’ve read on the email today it seems there may be random checks on ID to make sure tickets haven’t been sold on.
  8. In the interest of trying to provide a balanced view from their end, I thought this was quite decent, and informative (from their end ) Managed to resist the usual slanging match insults.
  9. 10 pints of Guinness for breakfast then. I’m sure Plod will be delighted by this. I thought all pubs were closed.
  10. This bit caught my eye, and seemed to have some irony* to it: A 62 year old bloke who dresses and acts as he does complains about someone being childish.... As Colonel said, I don't think Saints fans feel hate for him as much these days as pity. *irony - perhaps MLG will be along in a minute to tell us its not irony...
  11. Hammond was definitely that, a proper captain for the level we were at. Credit to Pardew for bringing him in and knowing what he would offer.
  12. 1974 - Jim Steele , got sent off in the match at The Dell. Took on real hero status for me at the time. Mick Channon ; regularly scored against them in Division 2. Hattrick I think in one match, 1975, then April 1976 on the Monday or Tuesday after the FA Cup semi final, he scored a late winner against them at Fratton Park. A goal which I think sealed their relegation. (Imagine what those cunts would make of that if the other way round... puts David Norris in the shade). Mark Dennis - didn't allow being hit by a coin to affect his game in 1984. Not sure this merits hero status in itself but Steve Williams made his debut at the 1976 Fratton Park match.
  13. Is ‘Jack’ posting that short for Jackanory ? What a load of bollocks. Wasn’t there also a Ports’myth’ about someone trying to divert a river - at Hamble - to deprive them of a watercourse at some stage in history as well ?
  14. Ageist bastards. Someone report them to the FA.
  15. Steve McLaren, Fat Sam ??? I think Tuchel gets sacked for falling out with his bosses. It’ll happen with the FA, or he’ll walk away after not winning the WC.
  16. That’s a fair point you make, although I’d give Ralph the credit for keeping us up with the lack of investment. There were some decent signings, but if we’re looking at the 2022 intake then you have to include the complete farce of not bringing in a striker that Ralph wanted. Wasn’t the Gakpo fiasco largely attributed to Semmens ?
  17. Is that Linvoy Primus’ daughter ?
  18. But he played for Liverpool so expect the BBC to recruit him for Strictly. If they can make a cuddly celebrity out of Savage ….
  19. Absolute yawn fest
  20. Christ, no. Chose to watch the women’s rugby instead. At least you see some honest effort from them. But two things, why use Brighton’s Lego stadium rather than St Mary’s? Also, the women commentator is as bad for rugby as football.
  21. In April we’ll make noises about £60m, but probably accept £30m late July/August.
  22. Semmens stance wouldn’t be so bad if they invested in the team around the ‘project and investment players’ . We bought some fucking rubbish under Semmens. Seemed a nice bloke, but glad to see the back of him. Problem that he seems to have cast the die in which others (Rasmus) want to operate.
  23. Good job results and league position don’t matter.
  24. Wonder if the club twigged when they had an unexpected enquiry for a hospitality box from a bookshop in Petersfield
  25. Saw reference on local news (Midlands) tonight that 3rd Sept is 125th Anniversary of opening The Hawthorns for West Brom. (Also the day war was announced in 1939)
