  1. Like many of us there are times you post utter crap, but that’s a good and interesting post. I know you’ve commented on SR several times with a bit of an insight into them and Dragan. A couple of questions though in case you can shed light on it. Hasn’t Dragan lost control of his media group? And with it perhaps both some wealth and influence. Have read about his business success and empire a few times but intrigued as to how he hasn’t transferred those talents to SFC. The phrase I’ve used a few times is that he seems a magnet for buffoons at Saints with those in charge or positions of influence. Personally I was disappointed by our handling of this episode and what has been published about Parsons. I’d have hoped that Dragan would be at the forefront putting Gibbo back in his box.Cortese or Lowe would have been at the forefront (even if there had been some blustering from Rupert). Agree with you about Katherina Liebherr being involved. Perhaps she and her son can magic up some Swiss billionaires to put some cash in to go along with Solak.
  2. I saw Gerrard mentioned the other day. Not keen on the idea at all and in the past been quite hostile to the idea. But it did occur to me that if he came the media would see us as ‘Gerrard’s Southampton’ , which at least gets us away from ‘cheating, playoff expelled Southampton’. But apart from that he’d probably be mediocre and sacked by November.
  3. Won’t be long before some old favourites are mentioned. Roger Schmidt above is one, but let’s not forget Lucien Favre, and going back a some years Phil Brown.
  4. Agree, but not a quality you’ll find in many managers prepared to work at a tarnished Championship club will have.
  5. Sincerely hope not.

RB was a regular annual rumour a few years ago but long gone.

Seen previous reference to this video but have missed it. Can you post a link please ?

Sounds as if he didn’t grasp the seriousness of the offence, and thought an all too matey confession and saying ‘sorry’to Middlesbrough and all would be okay, albeit with a fine. Unfortunately he probably flagged up how feeble the clubs response would be. To the point that Middlesbrough saw the green light to go for the jugular.
  9. But no one saw fit to question or challenge it.
  10. I thought the panel were all from a legal background.
  11. Middlesbrough weren’t involved in the hearing so Gibbocunt having a shit hot lawyer or a team of them is irrelevant. But you’re right should have had our best representation asap, probably even before Parsons opened his trap
  12. Alternatively we could spend millions pursuing an action for it to come to nothing. Whilst I agree with you that there is a lot that is unsatisfactory we could be chasing shadows. What would a few million be better spent on next season, a CF and GK or a legal team of KC’s ?
  13. Isn’t it a bit late to “get the analysts and media team off their arses and start presenting our case”?

No he could have guided Parsons or at least brought someone in to warn him not to behave like a simpering imbecile looking to make amends in full view of everyone at Middlesbrough (if Telegraph report to be believed).

A growing sense from where ? Personally I don’t agree with that, his selections and substitutions were often spot on. Lost count of looking at the line up thinking why’s he playing, to come away struck by that players performance. As for man management, it certainly seemed to work, and players looked motivated. If you want to hear about managers ‘odd’ behaviour look at Clough and some of the stories about him. Didn’t hold him back. Disagree that he was emotionless, but very focused. I suspect there will be inevitable stories downplaying his role and input as it does when a player goes. I’m sure if MLT had left in his prime- and the internet existed - we’d have had “well he didn’t tackle back ..”, “other players pissed off carrying him and his lazy ways…” Disappointed that he’s leaving in this way, and we won’t see him continue what seemed great potential. Next manager ??? Dread to think.

Would have thought he had to speak at the tribunal as a key member of our club. Not sure how we could protect him from that.

“… yeh, f’sure … well, they know where I am if they want to give me a call… but I haven’t heard from them yet… “ Maybe not the one to get the fans on board though.

And with Rupert at least one “I’m not going to be pushed around by a north country yobbo … “ Which, laugh as you might, would have least set the tone that we weren’t going to meekly concede without a fight.

I keep reading this, and have made a similar point on occasion. But for everything he’s done elsewhere our owner during his time with us has largely been a magnet for buffoons, or put them in places above their ability. Parsons gets credit for the commercial development at the club. Perhaps that is where he should be, but not heading up the club with the cut and thrust that goes with it. Last summer I think it was when Dragan told Blackmore and House that he intended to take more interest and control, that clearly hasn’t happened. Where was our owner when his skills and acumen for a challenge were needed?

This is quite damning. As I’ve said elsewhere Cortese, and even Rupert - and I wasn’t a great fan of either at their time with us -would have handled this better.
  21. Defeats on the pitch are part and parcel of it. You have a good swear about it, but that’s it. Win some, lose some ( and as Saints fans used to losing a few more). This is just fucking ridiculous though. Unnecessary and self inflicted stupidity.
  22. Cricket ? Rather watch paint dry.
  23. Unfortunately we were ripe for making an example of knowing it would be easier against our feeble management than others. Especially if as we’re told Dyson Bloke publicly went into a full confessional at Middlesbrough.
  24. Rosenior- no don’t want another hipster cunt Frank - no chance. Parker - rather like Big Sam being the rescue act, his continued success in this role will soon end. Can he do it again ? Probably the last option might be our route. But we don’t know who will be selecting, Spors still or another ?
  25. Are we at the point of phoning ‘Arry ? Especially after his words this morning. Not serious
