Perhaps you need a lesson in perspective. You’re probably trying to be clever & witty, maybe you’re trying to carve a niche as a forum “character”,but personally I find the comparison a bit distasteful. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why do people always come out with this pony. It’s on a par with this “lost the dressing room” nonsense fans come out with. He knows his keeper, his full backs stay the same, he picks Wes every game and the new fella missed Everton because of illness otherwise he’d play. Redmond plays every game, Ings has started apart from the first game when he’d only been at the club 24 hours, Lemina has played every game. That’s 8 players that are cast iron certainties to play. So let’s look at the other 3 spots. I’ve no doubt Romeu is the one he wanted in there, started first two games but was so woeful at Everton he deserved to be dropped against Leicester . How on earth is deservedly dropping a poor player “ not knowing your best side”. Then there’s Armstrong/ Elyounoussi both of which have suffered injuries, which maybe opened the door for JWP, had Elyounoussi been fit at Everton he’d probably have played. That leaves the CF position, again he’s started with Austin twice, but the guy didn’t deserve to be in the third game. What exactly do you want Hughes to do, pick his starting 11 first week and despite only picking up one point, stick to it. Anyone would think he’d been chopping and changing for the sake of it. Injuries aside he’s dropped Romeu & Austin, and Stephens has come out as we’ve changed formation. FFS I’d say our selections have been pretty consistent and he knows his best 11 as much as any other manager in the league. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Give it a ****ing rest. Do people actually think they’re funny or original when they post the obligatory Henry “jibe” on every single Redmond discussion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It looked to me like the ref indicated 2 with his fingers when he booked him for the first time. In any case what sort of ****ing idiot dives like that when they’re on a booking anyway? That booking could have been the least deserved in the history of football, but it’s still a booking. Diving the way he did gave the ref absolutely no alternative at all. I hope some of the players gave him both barrels afterwards. Pathetic Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What’s that got to do with home games against Burnley & Leicester Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

He wasn’t. The problem Hughes has got is Austin isn’t mobile enough, Gabbi is not really physical enough & Long is Long. Until Hughes finds a formation/style of play to get Gabbi the service he needs or to dominate enough of the ball in the final third so Austin can “goal hang “ , Longs going to be our best bet. Physically he battles and he gives us an out ball, he just hasn’t got any quality. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Agreed, he’s started the season extremely well. Stepped up a gear from last season, there’s no doubt he’s been one of our best players so far. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Considering we’ve only won one home game this year I thought our support was pretty good yesterday. Of course the ground emptied when they scored, but that’s par for the course. Nothing will change, footballs changed forever. Grounds aren’t as atmospheric as they used to be, and never will be again. There maybe the odd special occasion when it’s rocking, but week in week out it’s gone. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This. Until people know the job Les has been forced to do, how on earth can they say he’s doing it badly. Our signings are clearly a downgrade on previous seasons, and surprise surprise so are our results. Are our signings a downgrade because the recruitment department has ****ed up, because Reed is incompetent at negotiating or is it because other clubs are offering more money, that the budget Reed has been given is not attracting players. Who knows? I certainly don’t. I do find it funny that the Reed haters wanted him to employ someone who wasn’t a yes man, he did, yet Reed still gets blamed when we lose. Cedric again caught out unable to head the ball properly, like last week you have to question whether he’d have been in that position had we played 3 centre halves. Hughes seems to have torn up 3 at the back which solidified us last season, on the basis of one poor half against Burnley. That said we were excellent first half, particularly Redmond. I haven’t read the comments on here as I’m not sure my blood pressure will take it, but no doubt some will refuse to accept he played well. He has definitely upped a level this season. At the end of the day, Cedric, PEH & Vestergaard made major mistakes that cost us. Our home form is woeful, but I’m pretty confident we can turn it round. Last year we were deservedly getting beat, this we’ve played ok and could have won both. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Whilst you can’t develop pace, not that anybody said you could, but you can absolutely learn vision. What do you think, players like Bally & Le Tiss never got better at seeing things the older & more experienced they were. KDB never had the vision at Chelsea he’s got now, Ryan Giggs started as a flier, developing his vision as his pace went, so you’re talking pony on that front. I’m not even convinced by your argument about his pace anyway. He seems pretty quick to me, above average I’d have said. He may not be an out and out flier but he’s no slouch either. You’re looking at it the wrong way round. How average is Sims that he can’t get in ahead of Redmond & Long. Don’t you think managers wish they had better players, don’t you think they wished they didn’t have to keep picking Long, etc. They’d love for a fresh young talent to come I’m to replace these players, excite the support & move us forward. The fact they haven’t played JS after watching him train & play week in week out, isn’t out of blind loyalty or love of long, Redmond & Austin, it’s borne out of the fact they don’t think he’d do better. The way to look at it is this, if Sims was any near as good as some seem to think, he’d have replaced these duds by now. He hasn’t been afforded the same opportunity as Redmond , in exactly the same way Juanmi wasn’t given the same opportunity Mane was. It’s not an under 12’s team, let’s give everyone a chance. FFS. You earn your chance day in day out, he’s clearly not shown enough. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I still feel ashamed how these were treated by the fans

I’m hoping you’re being sarcastic and it’s gone over my head. Because if you aren’t, we may as well close voting for stupidest post of 2018. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
Lots of players improve with age, they get better the more experienced they get. Some players evolve and their game changes, as they rely on their pace and athleticism less. Clearly it’s less likely that a player like Redmond will, as many of his type don’t but to say he’s at his peak now and won’t get better by much is clearly nonsense. Some players make massive leaps in their late 20’s. He’s clearly looking better this season than last, although it’s really too small a sample to really judge. The thing is, had he been a new signing this summer people would be saying he looks like a promising buy, based solely on those 2 games. Of course they won’t accept he’s done ok because it’s Redmond. Some of our supporters can’t contemplate that they’re wrong about him, so are unwilling to give the guy a break. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

WTF are you on about. Have you been drinking or is English not your first language. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Are you a parody account? First Pep, now Koeman, who will it be next, Cruyff? He never picked Redmond over Mane or Tadic either. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What on Earth are you waffling on about. Who said anything about Pep. How the **** would anyone know what he thinks of our players, it’s not his job to pick one over the other. Did you watch the whole 90 mins on Saturday, because I’m surprised anyone would claim Redmond was the worst player on the pitch. Did you shut your eyes when Wes, Cedric or Rom went anywhere near the ball. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What a pile of pony. I’d be interested to know if you watched the whole game or are taking your judgements from highlights & others opinions. Because the people stood near me thought he did ok, and having a few bevies in The central in town afterwards so did a couple of Evertonians. If you genuinely think he was worse than Austin, Wes, Cedric, OR & Stephens than you can’t really have been paying too much attention to the game. Stats prove nothing, but here’s one for you. 3 managers, all of whom played for top European sides, 2 of which played for Barcelona ffs, didn’t agree with your opinion that “Redmond is not as good as JWP”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This is just complete pony. No way Redmond was the worst player on the pitch Saturday, no way at all. That’s the problem with some of our supporters, they’re blinded by their own prejudices. The bloke has played ok this season, excellent against Burnley & half decent at Everton. Not that people like you will acknowledge it. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

I think there were 17 million others as well. Anyway what’s the nightmare? If you’re a remainer it’s the easiest job in the world, a win win. How can you lose, country goes tits up , you didn’t vote leave. Goes ok and you’ve steered us through a difficult transition. Problem is the remain politicians are all pussies, too used to the EU wet nursing them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No I’m suggesting that posters shouldn’t start questioning whether people have “kicked a ball”, just because they have different opinions on a player. Particularly when the manager picking them is one of the best players of his generation. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That Mark Hughes who picks him every game, WTF does he know ? He hasn’t kicked a ball, unlike that great player Crabby. He’s only played for 3 of the worlds biggest teams, whereas Crabby has played for the Dog & Duck , and also writes posts on a football forum Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
