  1. How did you get on,for future reference. We went via Dudley Port & the pubs were ok but the locals a bit strange. After the game we were told by the old Bill that we could only go to The Blue Brick. However we tried a trendy looking place & the bouncer just let us in without even speaking to us. Spoke to the bird behind the bar and she said they’d have let us in before hand without colours. It was OK, but craft beer rather than traditional Real ale so a bit too fizzy for me, had to go on Guinness. If there’s a couple of others that’ll let us in we’ll go that route next season rather than mess around in Dudley (provided we’re in the league ). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Or it could be he thinks he’s a really good lad and he’s sorry to see him go. WTF does what Klopp thinks of him got to do with Liverpool receiving £20mil, it’s a done deal. Is there a clause in the loan to buy deal that we can pull out if Klopp doesn’t praise him? What is up with some of you clowns. The blokes been one of the only bright spot this season, he actually looks like he might create something and has scored 3 goals in 5 starts. God we’ve got some right weirdos supporting us. 3. Anyway, Nicola is such a respected figure in the game,it would be hard to get him away from the top club he’s been working for since he left Saints. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I want to know what sort of plank stays behind and watches that bunch of useless fairies go down the tunnel . I turned and left as the whistle went, just pausing to stare at and wonder why, some people were clapping the players at the end. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It’s not rose tinted specs or hindsight from me. I’ve said all along that he did a bloody good job with an extremely average group of players. Nothing I’ve seen since has convinced me otherwise. Your view that it was the most boring team performances in 60 years shows that it is you whose memory is playing tricks . Whilst not exactly setting the world alight, there were some cracking performances under Puel, particularly away from home. If 8th and a cup final is a bad memory, I’d brace yourself for more and more disappointment and a decade of shocking memories to come ( here come the “worst 8th in football history” posts) . 6. Puel got a back 4 of Stephens , Maya, Cedric & Bertrand playing ok, even with Lurch in nets. Puel got Gabbi to score, regularly. Of course he upset the little darlings, and bored the fans. Long time before we see 8th again, let alone a cup final. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  8. Where does this pony about Wolves being average or poor come from. I’ve seen it on the after match thread and now on here. Particularly laughable is the comment about them whilst listing our results to prove we’re ****e, shall we list Wolves’ results or don’t they count? They’ll be top 10 this season, no bother. 9. Why on earth would they need to be diplomatic, they told it as the saw it. I’ve seen a lot worse away performances the past 2 years. First 15 we were overrun a bit but until they scored it was pretty even game. PEH excellent particularly first half, Cedric did well defensively for once, but we lack any sort of cutting edge. Austin may finish chances in and around the 6 yard box, but we’re not going to create any. I don’t know if by design or because he was looking for the ball but ings played way too deep for me, more of a 10. Why not play Armstrong in there and Ings as the furthest forward. We’re weak mentally and physically. Bertrand is no captain, and we’ve no leaders. For the first goal Vestergaard was way too weak from the initial lay off and Armstrong was shrugged off like an under 12 for the second. Their centre halves, particularly Boly could have played in their slippers it was so easy. I don’t think Austin won, or got anywhere near, one headed challenge yesterday. It’s come to something when I can say we missed Long, a guy who doesn’t score goals. We missed his physicality and his runs into the channels. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. For all the love on here, did Poch & Koeman get the absolute best out of the squads they were given, because Puel certainly did. Looking back on those 2, it was a missed opportunity imo. We could beat anyone on our day yet went meekly out of the Cups to Sunderland & Sheffield Utd. Stupid as it sounds, but was Koemans squad any worse than Leicester’s. The centre halves were far far superior, and Allbrighton is not a patch on Mane. The 3 top top players, playing on top form Vardy, Mahrez, & Konte probably tip the balance so the league was pretty much out of reach , but **** me Hull, Sunderland , Aston Villa & Palace reached cup finals around that time. 11. First day I’d offer John Terry the asset managers job. We need a 2 or 3 leaders, we’re a team of son in laws. Look at our experienced guys Bertrand, OR, Davo, Cedric, Yoshida, they’re all bank employees, even Shane Long is a nice boy. Last season we had a thread regarding who we’d buy when relegated. Troy Deeney & Shawcross were my picks. Deeney struggled to get a game at Watford most of last season, his form this, makes that an impossible move, but does prove someone like him can make a difference. There’s a danger of a Ricky Lambert cliche, but surely there’s someone in the Championship worth a punt to play alongside Ings. Then there’s centre half, we clearly need an ugly brute to shake a few up, ours as well as there’s. We clearly need more creativity in the midfield, but that’s hard to find and expensive, surely finding a couple of cloggers to get stuck in must surely be the easiest thing to find in English football. 12. She’s either deluded, or the Salzburg thing was just all choreographed as part of a fix. Personally, my money is on the former. Frasier Nelson reckons Chequers will become a similar deal to Canada but May won’t admit it, she’ll still be running around shouting her “ nothing has changed”. mantra. More likely is the political declaration will be a massive fudge, a blind Brexit I believe is the term, then the fun will really begin. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. You’d hope so, seeing as it’s his job. It’s not a question of whether he knows more than us “tossers”, it’s whether he knows more than others who can analyse the game. Personally I think there’s plenty out there who would do a much better job than him. Pel knows a lot more about the game than us tossers, does that he should manage the club? 14. They’re all over the place. Yesterday John Mac and Red Len said remain shouldn’t be on the ballot, today Sir Kier said “nobody is ruling out Remain as an option on the ballot”. Laughably there was some Remain chump on the BBC suggesting we have a Leave or Remain vote, and if it’s Leave , a further vote on deal or no deal. There was me thinking we’d had the first part of that already. Abbott then did one of her “special” interviews on Newsnight to clarify. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. **** me, Willie Nelson’s a Coybynista Dear god Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. JRM probably wouldn’t even stand, he’d endorse another candidate for a half decent job. Boris would walk it, if he gets in the ballot, which is extremely doubtful. The point I was making was in response to the claim that Boris is too right wing . Firstly, nobody is too right wing for the membership and secondly he’s not right wing at all, he’s historically a pinko liberal Tory. Just because he’s supported Brexit people label him right wing. Him & Gove are nearer Soubry & Clarke on everything bar Brexit. Those 2 are certainly nearer politically to the pinkos than they are to the JRM, IDS & Redwood part of the party. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Maybe for the faux Tory pinko MP’s, but both would absolutely walk it with the membership. If one of those got to the final 2 it would be a landslide in their favour. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Jezza gave up his “principled approach” to Europe when he became leader. Had he not been so he’d have supported Leave, as he has done all his political life. It’s the one issue that was a threat to his leadership as most of the membership are Euro nutters, hell bent on stopping us leaving. I doubt very much they’d be prepared to allow a Leaver to lead them. Deep down I bet he’d rather we just got out, with May squeezing it through and him voting against. That way he won’t take a political hit and his lifelong ambition of getting out will be fulfilled. Of course they’re all getting a hard on about forcing a GE, but they’ll be fighting it on the Tories terms. If the deal can’t get through the commons because of Labour votes and the Federalist nutters like Soubry, Clarke & Grieve, it’ll be framed as a one issue snap election. The one issue it’ll be fought on is the one issue that labour voters will hold their nose and vote Tory for. As for the soubry type tories, are they really going to vote for Jezza. What’s going to do more damage to the economy ( in their eyes) Jezza or Brexit. And here’s the thing, Jezza won’t fight the election on staying in, but giving us another vote . Tory Remainers who vote tactically may get Corbyn & still get Brexit. May made a horrendous miscalculation when she called a GE and Corbyn will be making one if he thinks now is the best time. In most Tory/ Labour marginals it’ll be far better to be seen as the man who tried to stop us leaving ,than be seen as the man who is standing in the way of us leaving. In one scenario there’s a point to voting Tory, in the other there isn’t, as we’re already out. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  19. They’re both ****ing dinosaurs, who are totally incapable of giving any sort of modern analysis of the game. Punditry has moved on, they’re 20 years out of date . Although to be honest the whole station is. Ive never met Merrington but he seems a decent bloke. I have shared a few nights out with Willo as I had a mate who was friendly with him during his playing days, he is a top bloke. However, it’s time to pension them both off (and Blackmore as well). 20. If Sadiq Khan gets another term, those poor downtrodden Londoners may see their property prices fall further. And God help them if Corbyn gets in, he’ll have his eye on all that equity they’ve built up over the years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Chinese owners tell English DoF who tells Welsh Manager who not to pick. Saints web poster in ridiculous comment shock. Bans? Is he banned from playing, banned from being in the starting 11, banned from training? Please explain how the “ban” works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Swansea had 5 put by them at Liverpool & City last season. At home City put 4 past them, as did Utd. That’s -18, compared to our -6 in the corresponding fixtures. It’s one of the reasons they needed a 10 goal swing on the last day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  23. Looks like it, yes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. **** me, why don’t people think it through. It’s one of two things 1. The manger doesn’t rate him. 2. Hughes wants to play him, but Les & the hierarchy won’t let him as they want him gone. Hughes doesn’t strike me as the type that’ll let Les dictate who he can and can’t play. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
