Other Premier League Transfers - Deadline Day

I don't understand people taking the **** regarding Rooney going back to Everton. If Morgan comes back in 5 years time our supporters will be wetting their knickers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

If you're not going to give SAF a knighthood, then nobody in sport would get one. In fact nobody in entertainment, music or the arts would get one . You may not like the bloke but if his achievements don't merit one, what does? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Players won't give a shiny shiete, every single one of them would move to a champions league club tomorrow if they were wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Rip , I couldn't comprehend losing one of mine. I don't know how people cope. My mums best friend lost her daughter at 15, the lady in question is 78 now . She told mum that not a day has gone by the past 40 years where she hasn't thought of her & shed a tear. It's just heartbreaking . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lets face it whatever happens you'll keep whinging & blaming Brexit. As if staying in will mean growth forever & ever. Here's my prediction, in the next 50 years there will be growth, recessions & normal economic cycles , in or out of the EUSSR Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Have you ever negotiated anything before? Why do you automatically take anything that The EU say as gospel, believe that their will be no compromise on their part & think that national Governments or business will have no say in the final deal. It's the reason "no deal is better than a bad deal' is the Government position. Of course they don't want if, but the EU must believe we'll tell them to **** off & walk away. Tariffs will hurt them every bit as much as it'll hurt us & they need our cash as they'll face a ****ing big black hole. Labour & Tory positions are cake & eat it, EU's is you'll get **** all. They'll meet somewhere in the middle. I know you're desperate for this to fail, desperate for the EU to stitch us up, but if you think the their starting position is written in stone and they won't budge you're letting that cloud your judgement. Labour could still mess this up. The country do not like extremists from left or right and there are signs that Jezza & his supporters aren't exactly reaching out to moderates. Last night his supporters won control of a Liverpool Labour group .Winning nine out of 10 positions on the group’s executive committee their leader issued a statement about moderate MP Luciana Berger. "Luciana needs to get on board quite quickly. She will now have to sit round the table with us the next time she wants to vote for bombing in Syria or to pass a no confidence motion in the leader of the party - she will have to be answerable to us. “We would like her to come out publicly like other MPs have done and apologise for not supporting him in the past.” Maybe some think this is ok and that member driven policy is good for democracy, but the Tory membership is half bonkers & labour's far far further left than the electorate. The MP's are by & large the sane ones. If the headbangers start driving the agenda they could over reach themselves and alienate the floating voters. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?
Lord Duckhunter replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
It makes me laugh the lengths people are going to so that they don't have to admit that 8th & a cup final will be a good season. I've never seen anybody caveat their views of what constitutes a good season before. I'm previous years it's always been a league position, & a cup run. Never "provided we get x amount of points", or " provided we play the West Ham , sorry, Southampton way. If you don't mind I'll stick to the old fashioned way. Top 10 & a cup final will be a bloody good season, hopefully with better football than we were served up last season. However, I'd take that, playing shiete, than a QF & a world record points total for an 9th placed finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Yeah I agree, even though he was shiete he should have played every game Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Im all for that. Seeing as we're leaving, a vote on leaving with May deal or leaving without May deal, makes perfect sense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Instead of having elections why don't we just poll a few thousand people and run policy based on their answers. We may even get to bring back hanging. You need to get a grip man. "Criminal folly", lol. Of course you need to base policy on a referendum result, what's the point in having it otherwise? It's not a bloody great focus group Parliament handed the decision over to the people, the people voted a way you didn't like, get over it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really thought we'd end up lumbered with him until he walked away for nothing. Pulled WBA's pants down here, as poor a signing for them as Rickie was. He'll be in league 1/ lower championship or retired in 2 years imo . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Saints Transfers Thread - Deadline Day
Lord Duckhunter replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Before his injury there were signs that Charlie's hold up play was getting better & he was becoming a better all round player. He was blowing out of his arse come 60mins, but if he's effective before then, who cares. Personally, I think to ditch him pre season would be madness. Give the manager a chance to assess him in training, in friendlies & even in Aug games. The transfer window doesn't close until end of Aug so there's no need to push him out the door until the new guys had a good look at him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
It's clever to be democratic & enact the will of the people. The "consequences" were made very clear during the referendum by the Remain side, and the people still voted out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?
Lord Duckhunter replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
What are you going on about? Under Koeman we were the 6th best team in England. Last season we were the 8th best team. Therefore we went backwards under Puel than we did under Koeman. If we finish lower than 8th best next season, he'd have done worse than Puel. 7th above will be better. It's really not that hard to grasp. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

New manager in his first year in England. I think 8th & a cup final would be a bloody good season, especially if he loses VvD in the Jan window. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
