  1. I would have thought so , but something has spooked the Labour Remain campaign . All of a sudden they're talking about reforms to free movement and digging up Brown , Balls & Darling . Maybe coincidence , but it seems to coincide with postal votes arriving .
  2. Historically there's also a high postal return in northern labour areas and from certain communities ( I won't speculate why , lets ignore that particular elephant )
  3. A press photographer told it to me , where he got it from I don't know . However , Isobel Hartman & Dan Hodges have dropped hints in recent days . As I said it's illegal to publish but if the camps don't know how the postal vote is going , it'll be the first election they haven't . They may not know exact numbers , but they know whose winning Just to add Dan Hodges wrote " don't believe the rumours I'm hearing " or something like that . So the substance maybe BS but the fact there are rumours isn't
  4. I heard Poch had break clauses for both sides in his contract , that's why we didn't kick up a fuss about him clearly being tapped up ( I know Ron was but Poch's was not blatant) . Don't know if it's true a Spurs ( alleged,) itk told me. If it was just as easy as paying the last year off, why didn't Everton do the same
  5. Postal votes are verified but not counted before the voting day . Both sides have observers present whilst they're opened and verified . According to Westmimster rumours Tom Watson has said that the returns in Northern areas are "truly horrific" for the remain side . Won't read much about it as its a criminal offenders to publish any details , I guess we'll find out on the day . But I guess it explains leaves tactics this week .
  6. City gave their manager a new contract and had absolutely no intention of him seeing it out . Perhaps Saints offered him one to stop speculation during his final year , but with easy brake clauses if they wanted to get rid.
  7. Dennis Skinner , Frank Field, Tony Benn , all well known swivel eyed racist loons . What makes me laugh is that for 20 years labour have ignored the concerns of their supporters . They're so out of touch , they just can't accept people are sick of uncontrolled immigration . They've ignored them or belittled them , knowing they still won't vote Tory . Thing is , Tory isn't on the ballot this time snd their chickens are coming home to roost
  8. They tried to play the public for fools , particularly the working class . They all fell into line following Cameron's Wilson play book . The time to talk tough on immigration was during the renegotiation , not fall into line spouting the " great deal " line . The stupid thing about it is that the people like Boris had a point when talking about a second vote . The remain side shot it down and forced it off the agenda . There is no doubt in my mind that it we went back after a leave vote and said that if freedom of movement was suspended from certain countries until their GDP was more in line with ours , they'd welcome us back with open arms . Had Cameron called their bluff , they'd hsbe done so as well . I've no doubt Cameron thought it was in the bag so never bothered demanding anything . Could be one of the biggest misjudgements in political history
  9. Tom Watsons just called for a review of freedom of movement , **** me they really do think we're stupid . Their internal polling must be horrendous , they are starting to embarrass themselves now .
  10. Had we taken the advise of the oecd and many others scaring us now ,we'd have joined the euro . The ERM was a political act, that put people's houses & jobs at risk for political dogma . It was the first step towards monetary union and proved once and for all that you can't have monetary union without fiscal Union. Not that the euro loons took any notice. This was when I realised that it was being turned from a trading bloc to something more sinister . The Government spent millions propping up the pound because it's rules set a floor the pound couldn't fall below . All Saros and others did was understand that this was unsustainable and that there wasn't an endless supply of government money & interest rates couldn't keep going higher and higher without devaluation . It was Government policy that cost the nation so much money , not currency speculators
  11. There aren't too many people who think it was right to join the ERM & right to join the Euro.
  12. No but it makes me cautious of listening to them again. Particularly when they didn't learn from previous mistakes . Some people supported membership of the ERM , but realised that this forerunner to the euro was flawed , so turned against that. Others like the oecd backed the ERM, didn't learn from it, predictded meltdown if we didn't join, were wrong again and still don't learn . There's only so many times you can be wrong. It's not me discrediting them , it's their previous predictions that have done that. Personally, I'll listen to people who were right all along rather than ones whose dogma can never change
  13. Pathetic . When deciding how seriously to take people's predictions , most sensible people take into account their record on previous predictions . People who supported the ERM & Uk membership of the euro were wrong twice .
  14. Are they they the type of players to give their all week in week out whilst running their contracts down , i don't think they are. Therefore , they sign an extension or we get rid
  15. I think it'll be great to get an English youngster in . Hopefully our coaches will get more out of him than Norwich's did . Buying youngsters and improving them , there's nothing wrong with that .
  16. The bit I don't buy at all is Eddie Howe having no " special affinity " with Boscombe . That is bull shine
  17. The refereeing been excellent so far , but here comes ****enburg
  18. A relaunch for the Remain camp. Ed Balls coming out and saying more most be done on immigration, and man of the people Gordon Brown is to spearhead the next few days with Cameron taking a back seat. Evidently , he can cut through with Labour leavers in their heartlands. Would could possibly go wrong. VOTE REMAIN YOU BIGOTED OLD HAG...........
  19. No it's the initial "deal"he did , fiddling around the edges regarding benefits
  20. And Patrick Wintour of the Guardian quoting senior Labour figures backing Remain will argue Cameron EU migrant deal is insufficient & new direct controls on economic migration required. **** me remain are wetting their knickers and making up stuff as they go along .
  21. Hoolahan has had a great game
  22. You've got to hand it to remain , they keep finding ways of looking more and more panicky . Donald Tusk writes in Bild . "Brexit could be the beginning of the destruction of not only the EU but also of western political civilisation in its entirety ". Lol
  23. You mean the Mark Carney, appointed by George Osborne . The Mark Carney who worked for Goldman Sachs . Goldman Sachs , who are funding BSE, who made $500 advising the EU on Greeces suitability to join the euro, who were fined $5 billion for mid selling sub prime mortgages and advised the UK government on its post office sale. So bearing in mind that any half bake can see Greece shouldn't have joined the euro, the sub prime crisis cost us all & the post office was vastly undervalued, I wouldn't trust a Goldman Sachs man to run a bath , particularly when you look at who he had to grease up to in order to keep his job
  24. I don't think there will be a run on sterling . Once everybody calms down and realises there will be a managed withdrawal , the pound will stabilise . The Greeks are going to default again , the dollar won't look so attractive while there remains the chance of a Trump presidency
  25. Currency fluctuations happen all the time . When the pound dropped to low levels previously , Osborne said it wasn't a problem . Sir Martin Sorrell, a leaver , complained that revenues for his company had been “ravaged” by the strong pound back in 2015 . They want it both ways , then blame Brexit . The pound will always be ok because the euro is a basket case . Even after Brexit it'll be attractive and hold its value
