How to manage austerity in a caring society
Lord Duckhunter replied to badgerx16's topic in The Lounge
And India , that has a space program . We also send aid to countries that send aid to other countries -
Modern football stadiums can generate great atmosphere, but it really depends on the opposition and the state of the game. The end of the Liverpool game was amazing ( although there were still people leaving early) but like other side's we seem to react to what's happening on the pitch rather than inspire the players by creating a great atmosphere. At home ourr " song sheet " is woeful , too many moaners and too many early leavers for my liking , but I'm sure people will point out that when people pay their money they can leave when they want. Away games are a lot better , but we're still pretty quiet unless we're winning .

We are sending it to China -
He was shocking today & should pay for it by losing his place next week . When fit he seems to be an automatic choice . We look far better with long down the middle and by continuing with Pelle we don't get the best out of long . Long & Mane will tear Steven Taylor a new one next week , I'm sure he'd rather have a heading contest with Pelle than be hassled all day by Long . **** me , Huth & Morgan will have loved playing against that big lump today . His attitude stinks as well, always moaning at team mates and the ref . We need rid of him imo
-
I wonder just how bad Pelle has to be to get dropped
-
You got to laugh at how biased football supporters are . If the Simpson one hadn't of hit his hand it would have hit his body , **** me , there would have been uproar in here if we'd given away such a soft pen . The Huth one , **** me , if people think he moved his hand towards the ball , then he should be in nets . I don't really see what else he could have done. In both instances the arms were in a normal position and the ball hit them . Whether you like it or not , that's not a pen . Maybe once in a while a cock of a ref will give it , but some really are clutching at straws . The Vardy tackle , Steve Davis didn't make a big deal of it , maybe it could have been a yellow , but equally Vics could have been a red . It was only because of Classie's reaction to it , rather than Davo's that it appears worse. Perhaps Classie should have shown what a hard man he is when it matters instead of getting involved with handbags. We lost because they wanted it more , nothing to do with the ref . Look at the last 4/5 minutes they were holding it in the corner . Its one thing when The Arsenal of Henry , Pires ect or Fergies Utd do that , but Cedric, JWP ect were poncing about trying to win it back against Leicester FFS . Koeman blew it today OR should have played instead of Classie , Cuco should have played , He's let Pelle mince around like he's a big star , and why oh why does he think JWP can change anything .
-
Too many airy fairy players . Cedric , Pelle , Tadic , JWP , Classie shocking . Big Vic is **** poor when he's on a yellow . Austin got no service at all , so how on earth can he get stick . Forster & VvD our best players .

It wouldn't change the status of any of the present crop of EU nationals playing for us . The entitlement to continue living in another EU state is known as an 'executed right'. Article 70b of the Vienna convention states that the withdrawal from a treaty "does not affect any right, obligation or legal situation of the parties created through the execution of the treaty prior to its termination." So basically any right granted prior to us leaving the EU ( in this case the right of free movement ) is protected. Clearly, going forward it will be up to the British Government, with a mandate from the British people to decide on the criteria for granting future work permits . This is exactly what happens with Africians, Australians, ect at present .

Two more interesting quotes , one from Jean Monnett a founding father of the EU; "Europe's nations should be guided towards the super state without their people understanding what is happening. This can be accomplished by successive steps, each disguised as having an economic purpose, but which will eventually and irreversibly lead to federation." And one from Ken Clarke " I look forward to the day when the Westminster parliament is just a council chamber in Europe"

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

Who ****ing cares whether Adolf was a Christian or not. Nazi's didn't shout " God is great " as they turned on the gas or murdered countless others . -
**** me , what a crock of shiete . I remember Aston Villa with Ray Graydon , Brian Little , Chris Nicholl , Bruce Rioch playing in the 3rd division . It's debatable whether our side was even the best south coast side to ever play in the 3rd division . Macdougal, Bowyer , Mel Mechin , Dave Jones , & John Benson went into to play for top clubs after being in a decent Boscombe div 3 side . They also had Jimmy Gaberial and a certain twitchy headed twt , who could both play a bit

She would have been in Germany , Austria, Italy , France , Greece & Denmark , but I guess that's one for the EU referendum thread . -
Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

The problem with Islam isn't just the extreme version that kills and maims people , but the mainstream as well . Their treatment of women and gays is unacceptable in modern Britain , the fact they get their knickers in a twist over pictures of Mo , is unacceptable in modern Britain . There's is a backward religion that hasn't been through enlightenment yet . The way they a large portion of them want to live their daily lives is incompatible with a modern liberal society , but everybody ignores that elephant in the room . -
Anyway the SNP's policy is not Brexit triggers another vote. They're being very careful with their words . The only thing that will trigger another indi vote is when they think they'll win it . Ruth Davidson challenged Krankie to put a specific policy in their manifesto that in the event of Brexit they will demand another vote and she refused to do so. They know it's a vote loser . I suggest anyone who thinks Brexit will lead to the breakup of the U.K should watch a re run of QT from Dundee ( a yes city). The audience were pretty emphatic that they knew Brexit was a possibility when they voted and seemed to turn against the snp for trying to stir it up . I know one audience doesn't represent the Scottish people , but they did shock me . Ask yourself this ; The SNP claim the EU would have an indi Scotland at a heartbeat , why then, are they not for Brexit with the RUK going of into the wider world and them joining the failing EUSSR? Because they know full well they'll lose another indi vote , even in the event of Brexit.
-
Brexit is for the uk , it is a uk wide vote. There is no chance of Welsh or NI breaking away from the uk . In any case the polls in Wales are as close as they are in England . Do you think the Sweatys are totally stupid ? They knew there was the prospect of Brexit when they voted , it was factored in . However , perhaps you could point us in the direction of a leading SNP spokesman saying they'll " demand" another vote in the event of Brexit . There must be a quote somewhere , im sure you don't just make things up lol. So look forward to reading it , because on QT from Dundee ( a yes city) people were pretty hostile to another vote & the snp spokesman on there said it won't be in their May manifesto and refused to say they would call for another vote in the event of Brexit . Hopefully the little Europeans start peddling this nonsense , it'll be a win win for the English . Go out into the wider world without the Jocks holding us back .

Don't be so ****ing stupid just to justify your right on politics . If you can't see the difference between the IRA and these Muslim terrorist you really are a plum . -
**** me I'm moving , Redknapp is one thing but living near a pinko like Charlie quite another

God , you remain clowns just don't accept simple truths . Gordon Brown was in favour of the Euro in principle , he even said it . You are welcome to your own opinions , but not facts. It was the timing he was against , that is a cast iron fact based on his words and government policy .
-
One fact . Brown was in favour of the Euro in principle . Just because it became a ****storm doesn't change that . Why do you Remainians lie and spin so much . Post something concrete that shows Brown was fundememtally against , you won't because you can't .
-
Point me in the direction of one article , quote or speech at the time ( not it hindsight ) that backs up your re writing of history , . Brown was for the euro when the time was right . That is a fact . It's easy to say " but he didn't really mean it" but that was his public line . Of course he against it now , they all are . Theyre the ones rewriting history , not the people who were against the principle .
-
Oh , so because Brown claims now he was always against , you take it as read . Personally , I believe the labour policy that if the 5 tests were met they'd join . 5 tests set by Brown . Why set tests if you're fundememtally against ? Brown wasn't fundamentally against it at all , he was against joining at that time . You seem incapable of understanding that basic fact
-
This is just complete and utter bollards . Brown set 5 economic tests that if met , he would recommend joining the Euro . That is not being vehemently opposed at all .
-
I know , the point I was trying to make was that the leveliish playing field meant they could break the £1mil barrier in that era . Even if Leicester win the league the hottest prospects ie Kane won't go there . When us , Watford and qpr can finish second the league is obviously more " even " than it is now . Cloughie is the greatest imo , but it was a different world then . What Leicester have done , or will do hopefully , defies logic . An OK manager , with what is basically journeymen players , ****ing on the elites parade , I love it ( shame it's not us because I truly believe our Poch side was better than them )
-
The Leicester story is the most amazing thing I've seen in 40 years of watching football . What would the meltdown on here be had we replaced Toby with Morgan or brought allbrighton in ( myself included) . This is no forest or Blackburn , remember forest had the worlds best keeper , spent a million on Francis . I thought it would be amazing if we finished top 4 , but to win it , **** me . I have a mate who supports them , he is in dreamland . He's been married to a scouse for 25 years , lived in Liverpool that time and her old fella and family are st holders there . Who would have thought Leicester will win the premier league before Liverpool

Is that the best you can do? If you can not decide who enters your country , who leaves you country , can not decide who you pay your benefits to, if your courts aren't supreme, , and can not set your own indirect taxes , you can hardly call yourself an independent nation .
