  1. Spot on. And after years and years of " progressive " tax & spend , decline and misery , they'll vote for a party of the right to clear up the mess. They'll need a Mrs McT, to drag them into the 21st century.
  2. It's you lefties that are stuck in a time warp . An nhs stuck in the 50's , no private money or god forbid any form of insurance . Stuck in a backward bloc of nations , nothing sums up the 1970's nature of the EUSSR than the CAP. Lefties are still fighting Mrs T , but in their warped view of the world their the " progressive" ones . Labour need to listen to Frank Field and the bloke whose wife has nice tits . There's nothing modern thinking or progressive about chucking money at services and bankrupting the nation . Nothing progressive about making the state bigger & bigger . People always say they'll pay more tax , who wouldn't ? But the funny thing is nobody gets elected when they promise to do so .
  3. One step at a time . Let's have an English & Welsh parliament first . Can you imagine the Sweatys grievance if there was an English one and not a jock one . Hopefully Cameron will give them full fiscal autonomy and they can set their own income tax rates . Of course being such a " progressive " country they'll all willingly pay a lot more tax for great public services . They'll be no bedroom tax and no austerity and everybody will live happily ever after . What can possibly go wrong?
  4. The sooner the jocks eff off the better . They can have their " progressive" nation without the English . Its a win win really , we get rid of the whining layabouts and hopefully lefties like Toynbee & little Owen jones will move up there .
  5. Its not cyclical at all. As Batman said England is clearly a right of centre country. Whenever labour tack to the left , whether under foot, Kinnock, brown or milliband they lose. The only time they've won since Mrs t changed the country was when they moved right under Blair. The left are out of touch with England .
  6. Perhaps you would be kind enough to repost my prediction of ukip seats .
  7. Do lefties realise the Tories won the election ? Becoming one of the only governments that increased their majority . Just walked the dog listening to " any questions" , listening to Shirley Wiiliams telling us what the country wants , is laughable . The country wanted her sorry party kicked out and the government to move to the right . Every time her , Charles Clarke or a leftie snp bloke attacked the Tories , or made a point about bedroom tax or ending austerity , cheers rang out from the audiance . The voters knew about the bedroom tax, knew the Tories were cutting welfare by £12 billion and they voted for it. They have a mandate for more welfare cuts, for more austerity , for an EU referendum can people like Williams stop telling us what the people want , we've just asked the people and they've told us. Even funnier was listening to " any answers" afterwards as I was driving home . I nearly had to pull over I was laughing so much . God, they should have given out the sameritians number afterwards . Various lefties calling in , baffled that the English aren't as " progressive " or caring as them . Even had one clown say labour lost because they didn't bring back clause 4. Anyone would think tony Blair lost 3 elections . Is there a medical complaint called deludedleftism, where people convince themselves what actually happened didn't really . Do any lefties on here think we beat Leicester yesterday? Democracy is a damn awkward thing for people like Toynbee and her ilk . The country would be so much better if the great unwashed weren't allowed to vote.
  8. That wasn't the performance of a group of players worried about letting the manager down.
  9. They had no choice whatsoever if they wanted any credibility at all. They have spent years begging the British people to deliver them a hung parliament, so that they could hold the balance of power. To have that result and then walked away would have been bizarre .
  10. They had no choice than to go in with the Tories, this " sacrifice" nonsense is pony. Every election I can remember they have gone on about a balanced parliament and them holding the labour/Tory to account. They have gone on and on about a hung parliament being best with 2 parties working together, so to have had that situation and then not gone into government would have been bizarre. They would have had no credibility had they stayed in opposition, once the country had given them what they'd been banging on about for years and years. They were punished because the country saw what treacherous two faced liars they are. They had a sense of entitlement, that they should always be part of any government. People like Ed Davy & Vince Cable really think they know best and anyone who disagrees with them is some sort of idiot. Most of their votes were only ever people voting against another party . Round here their voters were anti Tory voters, not lib/dumbs. Their level of support is now about the right level . They get wiped out in pr European elections and now they've lost the protest vote are at the correct level.
  11. Awful performance, when the second one went in I actually thought it could be 4 or 5 . For me there's worrying signs that Ron is a bit like Michael laudrap , great first season at Swansea but seemed a bit too relaxed with the players. Maybe his calm presence and reputation was what was need early on, but I hope he can also dish out the hairdryer , because 7 or 8 needed it yesterday.
  12. Move to Wales then , the labour NHS there is " great"
  13. Facts not your strong point?
  14. Boundary changes were in the coalition agreement in return for AV referendum . Lib /dumbs pocketed the referendum and then stiched the Tories up.
  15. Dear oh dear . statesman ? Cable ? I presume you're joking . If he had any credibility at all he wouldn't have served in the coalition . Spent 5 years undermining his leader , dissing the government he was part of , a ministerial car for his principles . Deserved the kicking the old fool got.
  16. You're right. There is also many people who voted against UKIP to keep them out as well as some kippers that didn't bother . There is no point in voting anything other than Tory in my constituency . Vote ukip get Milliband / snp was quite a powerful message , a message that would be nonsense in a pr election I reckon the pr results for smaller parties would be slightly higher and increase as the years went on .
  17. The problem with " real PR" is that certain areas of the country will hold too much influence . Even the US presidential elections aren't on that basis and there's only 2 candidates . This is because long term the interests of the smaller states will suffer and the ones with big populations will hold too much influence . It's bad enough now , but over time power will flow more and more to London and the big cities with their massive populations
  18. If you equalised the number of voters in each seat, the Tories will have had an even bigger majority .
  19. Don't talk nonsense man . They're picking up votes in local elections left right and centre. They have the most MEP's & they've finished second in scores of seats, they ain't going anywhere . There is a need for an English nationalist party and ukip will provide this , especially if labour go for a luvvie like Chucka .
  20. Lol Do you understand how elections work?
  21. Russell Brand finally grasps democracy… “The only conclusion I can draw from this is…a lot of people want the Conservatives in power, because they voted for them"
  22. I just hope Cameron governs as a Tory and not get influenced by wet pinkos like Matthew Parris and his ilk. I see the scarlet pimpernel Grant Schapps has just reappeared on BBC 1 . Labour need to promote people like Simon Danczuk otherwise they're going to end up a London trendy metropolitan leftie party. They took Scotland for granted and they will be making a big mistake if they think it can't happen in the north of England
  23. The lib/dumbs tried to have their cake & eat it. Instead of shouting about what the coalition government delivered they just kept banging on about what they stopped . Well it turned out the English liked the ideas that they stopped and have given the Tories a mandate to impose them . If it was all about being like Tories cable & Hughes would have held on . They have always been chancers and frauds . They got exactly what they deserved .
