And by Dave Warson , successive England managers and pundits? I suggest that if we put him up for sale there will be plenty of takers , but hey what do they know compared to you .

The second goal OR didn't follow his runner , but I guess being a forum hero we'll have to blame the keeper

He's better than JRod .

Pony . Our keeper cost us the game . Simple as that . That first goal changed the whole game .Our players were every bit as committed as theirs -
Arsenal 0-2 Saints - Reaction & Semi Final Draw
Lord Duckhunter replied to Lighthouse's topic in The Saints
The FA won't give a shiny shiete . It's a football league competition -
Klopp more likely to play weakened side than Jose , who has always taken this competition seriously. With a bit of luck & their mind on other things , we may have half a chance. We're going to have to beat Arsenal,Liverpool & Utd to win it.

Surely Liverpool will be better for your trolling

I love reading the comments underneath, this one was great . "One man understood how to entertain and utilise the Fratton faithful perfectly.....Harry Redknapp. Surely it's worth somebody from the board having the conversation with him...you might be surprised with the response "

Complete tosh . He has been woeful in some games and average in most. Yesterday was the only time he's looked like a half decent player, but he didn't " dictate the game " in any way shape or form.Perhaps we should wait until he plays a dozen or so games like that in a row before lording him . On Thursday he looked out of his depth so it was good to see him play ok, but I think you're jumping the gun a bit

Must be pretty disheartening for the guys who went and had to watch that shiete so I'm not surprised there was booing. Does it do any good though, the ones it upsets will be the ones that care and I doubt they're the ones being booed. From watching at home (and I realise it is different) it didn't appear to be a lack of effort, but a lack of skill and ability. Is there really any point in booing Cucu, yes he's shiete , but he doesn't pick himself and as bad as he is, that is his best. Same with JRod , he must be close to despair about how he's playing , is booing going to help him? I don't honestly know what the answer is,because as much as I hate booing your own, would have probably done the same had I spent 1k watching that shiete .I guess a win against Koeman will go some way to paying those who went yesterday back, and win at Arsenal and all will be forgiven

Europa League 2016/2017 (Died 8/12/2016)
Lord Duckhunter replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
Austin has to start in the final Europa league game , even if it means leaving him out of league games. Other than that, we should have enough to get through. -
Do you really think Charlie Austin would still be fit if he played in every game. Would Jose , having not really had a proper break in the summer . Or Cedric . Would Bertrand have stayed fit? It's not like we've even been knocked out yet, we're still favourite to go through. Thank god we have professional sports science people and not you with your magic sponge looking after our players through a 50 odd game season .
-
So "it's not working" all this tinkering? We're in the league cup 1/4 final. We're one home win away from getting out of the Europa league group, and we are mid table . For Man Utd or Arsenal that might be "not working" , but I suggest it is for us. Seriously, what do people want . This isn't the 1970's or 80's when you play your best side each and every game. If we did, chances are Charlie Austin & Fonte, would be facing long lay offs.Steve Davis would be knackered, Cedric would be picking up niggles left right and centre and Bertrand wouldn't have got over his problem . All this with a stupid number of games coming up in Dec. He's not tinkering for the sake of it, he's tinkering to get us through 50odd games this season being as fresh as we can.

Sparta Prague 1 Saints 0 - Match Thread & Melt Down
Lord Duckhunter replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Not much criticism of VvD tonight, guess he's too good for that. He played like a big time Charlie tonight and has missed 3 absolute sitters in each of our away games.Had he taken just one of them the league would look a lot better -
Sparta Prague 1 Saints 0 - Match Thread & Melt Down
Lord Duckhunter replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I'm not going to start calling people bed wetters , but some perspective is needed. It is the Europa LEAGUE , a league we need to beat or avoid a goal scoring draw against an Israeli team to get out of. I'd take that any day of the week. We also need to look at the side we've played in this league. Our captain and guanteed starter hasn't kick a ball , 3 other shoe ins ( Davis, Cedric,Bertrand) haven't played or hardly played . That's 3 of our back 4 , not many sides can get away with that and still qualify. As disappointing today is, it's not the end . It's not like Sunderland or Denmark where a shiete performance meant goodnight Vienna, we're still in this. Puel is getting a rough deal on here tonight , but his rotation & tactics can only be judged at the end of the season. 90 odd European games earns him that. I'm hoping the McQueen's, Redwoods & PEH's of the side will learn from this and Puel & the club will finally see that JWP/JRod/Classie are done . Knock out stages , we'd all have taken that from day one. Koeman couldn't even get us into the league , with Mane,Big Vic & Pelle, yet Puel gets dumped on? -

Our set piece specialist with 2 shocking corners -
55% of her constituency voted leave. Which means there's a lot of hateful, bigoted people who condone this violence or like most sensible people think this had nothing to do with any referendum. Obviously this doesn't chime with verbal but he does seem to have mental health issues over Brexit.God knows why, maybe Nigel ****ged his Mrs, but he does seem a bit unhinged
-
Pony George Osborne's mismanagement of the economy is the issue not Brexit. There was never any chance of a surplus, he failed to hit every target he ever set. If you're going to blame Brexit for everything, you're going to let incompetent politicians off the hook.

I got mine at 9.20 this morning. I was amazed it went down to 3 never thought I'd have a sniff .
-
Probably because Man C , Chelsea or Arsenal didn't want them , didn't need them or didn't think they were worth our valuation.
-
I can't work out whether people are deluded or on a wind up. We do not have a business model that buys players low and sells high, it's not some sort of master plan that makes our owner rich . It is purely and simply the only way to run a sustainable club that lives within its means and is a result of modern football reality . The game has driven the model, not some sort of plan. I've no doubt Les & Kat would like nothing better that VvD to stay and see out his 6 years and do so within our pay structure. The fact that his performances have taken him into a pay band & career path we can not compete with means he'll go. It is not a desire for the board to "cash in" . We should be grateful that the board is so good at what they do, not slag them off . What do people want? Our recruitment to be so average that nobody wants our players . No doubt they'd be slagged off then, they can't win
-
McGrory was Cleggys Alister Campbell, so he's used to lying and distortions .
-
Good point against a Liverpool side that had been flying the last month . Tactically I thought Puel got it spot on , anyone who thinks we could have gone toe to toe with them is deluded . Next Sunday we'll know just how good a point this was. Draw in Prague beat Everton and it'll look like an excellent point

Laughable stuff from Whelk. Quotes the FT, the very same FT that was the euro cheerleader & as late as 2015 was still claiming it was better for us to join. Wrong then-wrong now .
