Ah, okay. That's not actually what hypocritical means, so it was a bit confusing. The word you were looking for is ****.

Oh dear, a lot of those players have been tipped for the first team. Might have hoped they'd manage a bit better than that. Was it a strong city side?

I think a lot of people hide behind the bible to disguise personal prejudices. Not all, but many. There's more in the bible saying that you should never eat shellfish than there is about not being gay, would they have refused something that condoned eating prawns? I doubt it, there's a reason why the anti-gay bits in the bible get mentioned so far out of proportion and it's simply homophobia.

Brett Ormerod to open a sandwich shop when he retires

Surely Baguette Ormerod? -
Which bit do you mean? Genuine question, I can't figure it out.

Well, now I find myself warming to the idea of a sequel.

Saw this, it was a pretty good idea, as the concept of being chased by something slow (walking speed) but relentless is a pretty common nightmare and hasn't really been done so effectively and simply before. They tried to add an extra layer which seemed to be commenting on people who spread STDs as well. It was nice that they didn't really try to explain it, just introduce a simple concept and then give a foreboding feeling for the rest of the movie, but you sense there will be rubbish sequels that will try to explain it. I found myself wondering a bit what would happen if they went to live on a boat or even in another country. It follows, but does it swim or fly from Heathrow too?

Lizards you see. A birth and a hatching are very different and it can cause confusion with what you count as the actual birth.

Let's just get behind all of our days of the week, shall we? . We've had big name days like Christmas and Easter in the past, but where are they now?

Rodriguez has returned - BREAKING: NEW CONTRACT SIGNED
norwaysaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
A lot of people seem keen to stick both Mane and JRod out on the wings, presumably just to try to fit them both in. Neither is really at his best on the wing, Mane in particular is a bit wasted there as he thrives on making runs through the centre onto through balls, which is also JRod's strength imo. We don't really have any proper wingers do we? -

I think JRod and Mane are very similar players, it'll be interesting to see if they can play together. -
Interesting fact, at the moment 46 of the 92 league clubs have played in the PL, Bournemouth will be the ones that make it a majority. Typical, they strive for it for so long and just as they make it, it becomes "normal".

Don't feel the rivalry a minority of our fans have. I can understand there are plenty of their fans who would like to rival us and I have no problem with that. I think it's understandable, a bit like Scottish and Welsh fans wanting to get one over on England, when many English fans wish them well. Bitter rivalry is generally for the party with the lower status, bit cringey when the side on top starts to get insecure enough to start having a problem with the lower team.

Absolutely brilliant news. Really chuffed for them. As long as they don't finish above us I hope they stay up and flourish.

It was more than just a wee. Many people assumed it was that because it was "splashy". She later apologised and put it down to stomach problems. Pooing on live TV will always be her greatest legacy.

Lots of players looking well up for this, Bertrand, Schneiderlin, Alderweireld and Davis standing out.

Can you tell Terry Hurlock from Jeff Kenna? http://www.buzzfeed.com/robinedds/how-many-1993-94-premier-league-stars-can-you-name?utm_term=.tewpdDjNa&fb_ref=click_share#.oaKBBDx5P Only 15/22 for me and a couple of those were a bit lucky.

Well, the American way of life is keeping them happier than in the UK anyway, although not nearly as chipper as they are in Canada and not as happy as in Mexico either. The British are also more gloomy than their nearest neighbours Ireland, while over here in Scandinavia we are just in a constant state of ecstasy, grinning like fools. http://uk.businessinsider.com/new-world-happiness-report-2015-2015-4

You've got a bit mixed up there. The game lasts for 60 minutes. For actual time the ball is in play, it averages at about 11 minutes. Have a google right now of "time the ball is in play in American football". You'll clearly be surprised. It's not an attack on the sport, so you don't need to get unpleasant and over-defensive. I think if I am unable to enjoy a sport others enjoy, it's pretty clearly me who's missing out on something. Wall Street Journal: http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748704281204575002852055561406 Here's a useful pie chart: Other sources: http://qz.com/150577/an-average-nfl-game-more-than-100-commercials-and-just-11-minutes-of-play/ http://www.forbes.com/sites/stevedenning/2012/02/05/not-so-super-sunday-eleven-minutes-of-actual-playing-time/ Like I said. I don't have a problem with the sport and as for dull, well I enjoy watching cricket ffs, I just find that stat something that makes it hard to compare it to actual football.

How long are the balls in play?

Better Call Saul was a real surprise. It was incredibly tightly written and was far more compelling than we could've expected given the subject matter. I mean, we all know where he is in the future, so we know he's not getting rich, that nothing he starts under his real name will come to anything and that certain characters will not be in his life in the future, yet it was great. I wish we could have seen even more of him as a shyster though, he fitted that character perfectly. I've reached a bump with Daredevil and it's name is Fisk. I'm finding his angsty character really grating and I feel he slows everything down. Matt Murdock and the rest are great though and there's loads of potential as long as they don't rush it, but Fisk is by far the dullest character and that's odd, because usually the arch villain is the most fun part of a series. I just find it hard to believe in him rising to become powerful to boss these other factions around when he is such a mess. Hopefully he'll have become a bit more convincing by the time I get to the end of the series. I've also seen a few episodes of Walking Dead series 5. As usual it gets a bit baggy in places as they try to spin a out the story to fill a long series, but actually I'd say it looks like the best series since the first.

I don't get American football at all. Obviously that's my loss as there are millions who get a lot of enjoyment from it, but the average televised game lasts over three hours which consist of at least one hour of adverts and only 11 minutes with the ball actually in play. That seems mind numbing to me and is exactly how I've felt every time I've tried to watch it. I just don't see how that can be compared to proper football where the ball is almost constantly in play and there is only one short break in the entire match.

My kids are always leaving the inside light on in the car when they read in the back, so I regularly discover the battery is flat in the morning. It's a good idea to buy a portable starter to keep in the car and they don't cost much, buy a charger too as they are always worth having. My battery still seems fine though. The drive should have put a bit more charge in it and it seems it never went completely flat, so you should be fine.

I'm also enjoying Daredevil, when I expected to hate it. I'm not looking forward to the costume though, it's far more enjoyable with him as a vigilante with an improvised Zorro mask thing. My only problem so far is that Kingpin seems to be a bit of a fragile mess rather than a genuinely threatening genius. It doesn't really seem like he should have risen to such power when his face looks so constantly full of insecurity. It gives the appearance that his assistant is the real genius orchestrating everything. The fight scene when he rescues the boy was one of the best I've seen on telly though. Normally superhero types make everybody unconscious with one well placed punch, so it was great to see him battered and exhausted, surveying the scene as the last man went down, only for them all to start getting back up again.

I absolutely agree with Sarniasaint. The punishment for getting out of your car when stopped by a public servant should be death, it's one of the few things I think they should bring it back for. That and misuse of the pronoun "myself" as a nominative pronoun instead of a reflexive pronoun. Land of the free yes, but there have to be limits.
