  1. Tattoos are a great idea, I mean, your idea of what looks good never changes does it? I personally still wear the exact same style clothes I thought were cool in the eighties. I still have my hair like I did when I was 19 and there's no music I listened to then that sounds a bit crap now. I can see no problem with taking a style judgement and making it permanent.
  2. As you land, you may be able to see my house on one of the islands just across from the airport. But you probably won't be able to see much through the rain.
  3. One of several very needy posters on this site, desperate for the approval of others.
  4. Sorry to be dim, but what do you mean by "abandoned" drug tests?
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-14843549 I am a unicorn.
  6. Just to again re-iterate a common misconception on here. Treating people differently and unfairly due to race is politically INCORRECT. If you agree with the OP that people should be treated fairly regardless of race, you are calling for more political correctness. Political correctness does't mean "making up silly rules" or even not discriminating, which would be ludicrous. It means not discriminating unfairly. Positive discrimination, where people are employed on grounds where proportions are deliberately brought into line without reference to merit, is politically incorrect, as it is more unfair discrimination to try to cover up for perceived unfair discrimination in the past.
  7. Wouldn't reverse racism be treating everybody fairly regardless of colour? What you're complaining about is race discrimination. What you are calling for is more political correctness in the workplace (ie less unfair discrimination). Well done, you have just joined the "PC brigade".
  8. Think I may have met you some years back when saints were over there. Originally from Romsey now live just outside Bergen. Moved over for a woman, as most of us probably did. I haven't been to Stockholm, but I lived in Gøteborg for a short while and I have to say it's one of the few cities I've been to that I'd be happy to live in.

  10. I haven't played these for years, but I still remember 99/00 vividly. You could take charge of Peterborough in League 2 and they had no money, but a reasonable size stadium. Most importantly they had a team of players that would become world class in nearly all positions. Still remember most of them, Simon davies, matthew Etherington, Anders Koogi, Gareth Jellyman and Warren kenna. Then you could get Amara Simba easily and he would score 30 a season before retiring. Saints were hopeless with enormous wages and long contracts for hopeless players.
  11. I've seen loads of people in Europe, in England and on this board who are filled with hate, spout bile, agree with a death penalty for crimes they are incensed by and who are oppressive in their approach to women. I noticed on the Echo website after seaborne was injured there were people calling for bringing back public flogging and similar for the people responsible. Condemn these particular people certainly, but don't believe this is their culture and ours is in some way superior. they have idiots, we have idiots. It takes very little to bring them out, as has been seen by the level of people that have attached themselves to the EDL.
  12. Snide.

    Tipping

Don't know if it's the same over there, but here nowadays, when you pay by card, they bring the card reader over to you, but they no longer type in the amount, expecting you to do it and include your tip. However, a couple of times recently I've eaten at places where you get a menu, then go to the bar and order your food. they expected you to pay there and then, which i dislike anyway, but they still did the thing of making you type in the amount. Are they expecting you to tip them before you've had food or service? Are they taking the ****?
  15. Nutshell Especially about Fuller, who, although he didn't score many, improved our team massively. Yet at the time we just had loads of posts about how we needed a million pound striker like Clinton Morrison, not a cheapo ex-pompey player. That mentality is still there.
  16. Why do you waste your time with this nonsense on here?
  17. Every single stadium/large arena gig I ever saw. They are never as good as the small, claustrophobic, sweaty venues. It's always a shame when a good band makes the step up and you know you'll never see them anywhere with atmosphere or character again.
  18. What gender were the other 53.9%?
  19. I agree with this, 12 points should be more than enough to get us promoted this season.
  20. The Strokes' second album and Humbug by Arctic Monkeys in recent years. To go for a controversial one, people always raved about Forever Changes by Love and how influential an album it was. The first track "Alone Again Or" was brilliant, the next was good, then it all descended into over-indulgent rubbish. It's probably the most disappointed I've been with a "classic".
  21. Did they really pay 5.5 million for Matt Mills? Wow.
  22. Good point. A prettier forum is worth 5 pounds of anyone's money. Thank you Big John, by the way, you replied to Baj exactly as I would've if I'd had the posts I don't want to pay for. I never suggested a refund, I pointed out that Stevegrant actually swore at and abused a customer who was understandably grumbling that he hadn't been given what he paid for and that this was a long way from what we would all accept from other businesses we patronised.
  23. I use that, but it's so intrusive I actually uninstall every time I finish watching iplayer, then reinstall it again next time.
  24. he used to play here for Brann, did a good job, but is getting older and is probably not really better than what we have. He plays for Chicken Waterfall now.
  25. How odd. Most businesses, if they charge people for a service and then fail to provide it, are then fairly humble and apologetic to the customer, often offering a full refund. Here, if a paying customer complains about not getting the service they have paid for, they get sworn at and abused by the owners. Are there any other businesses anybody here patronises where they happily accept this and then pay to use it again?
