What are you talking about? I didn't say it wasn't true. I said the only source of information in this story is the accused. We don't actually even know if the song is the reason why he's been accused. if we're just going to believe the accused in cases when they say "I didn't do anything!", then we'd better open up the prisons and let a few prisoners out. The story wasn't balanced and so it wasn't worth reading. Does it male me "liberal left" if i don't automatically believe the accused in a case? OK, I must be that then.

Wow, one side of a story given in the Echo and everybody on here knows exactly what happened and that it was definitely political correctness gone mad. Who'd've thought that a story that is basically told only from the point of view of one person, would make the other side look unreasonable. This balanced story takes most of it's comment from the guy accused, none from the person who complained and the police give a no-comment response. You have no idea what happened, but you've become righteously indignant already. You lot will believe any crap the newspaper tells you to, won't you? Unbelievable. Reactionary, kneejerk nonsense. They've banned Christmas because it upsets the Muslims, you know.

Yup, huge amounts of disgusting and unpleasant crimes committed in Britain and across the world by white Christians, but for some reason many members of saintsweb feel the need to try to point the finger at one group and say this is what they are like. Strange that there are huge numbers of horrible crimes reported in Britain that are by white Christians, but their skin colour or religion isn't deemed important or representative. There have been paedophile rings all over that have involved white Christians, yet the only one getting its own thread on saintsweb has Muslims in the title. It is odd that Boj and steve choose to ignore the clearly unpleasant and racist slant creeping into SWF, but are quickly onto anyone guilty of sarcasm.

I wouldn't want him back, i think we'll be able to do better if we get promoted. It's very odd how the rumour started about him causing Sturrock problems has stuck, even though several sources, including Sturrock made it clear that it wasn't him and gave fairly heavy hints about who it was (I think it was all about a long standing, senior player, who at the time could only be Dodd). It's not often scurrilous internet rumours that are clearly rubbish hang around like that. By the way did you hear about Kevin Phillips wife and Chris Marsden/Brett Ormerod/some salesman/another made up person?

Boj and Steve don't want you on their forum, deppo. So they will come after you whether you're doing anything worse than others or not, whether boj is also being sarcastic or not. Weston Super saint is right, we need more and stricter rules, we need posters strictly adhering to rules and we need strict policing of those rules. That is what football based chat forums are all about. What we don't want are people being "funny". If we paid more attention to rules here, more of the legend posters would come back.

My main summer jobs as a student were: -working in a cinema, they hire a lot of extra staff for the summer, meaning plenty of hours, plus a good crowd of other people in a similar situation to hang out with. - care work. I used to get tons of hours doing this and as I was on an NHS temp "bank" I could choose when I did or didn't want to work. Overtime and "unsociable hours" were comparatively very well paid, so I used to volunteer for all of those. There were also "sleep-in" shifts, where you basically slept all night but had about a 10% chance of being woken up to help with something, but were paid for the night (50 quid for a night's sleep back in the early nineties). I used to go back to do sleep-ins and weekend shifts during term time too.

My mistake, apparently we lost. People need to admit they were wrong to lose faith just because we went behind. It's a 90 minute game and you did an "Alpine". It's worth taking a look at the thread from about page 4 onwards just to remember how important it is to get behind the team rather than resort to virtual booing. People write off Deppo's posts because he uses humour, but usually, as with this time, he's bang on the money.

When EVERY other fan posting on the match thread was whining and crying that we'd be lucky to make the play-offs, he posted something along the lines of "Get a grip, you bottlers" and proceeded to lambast everyone for being so negative and having no faith in the team. Don't you wish that all fans could have that kind of spirit?

I know it sounds wrong in hindsight, but at the time I was delighted to get rid of Kevin Davies (2nd time), as most people seemed to be. His wages were enormous, probably the highest in the squad (20k was mentioned) and, when picked, he just used to stroll around the pitch looking disinterested and unfit. It was looking like we'd be stuck with a useless player on high wages, when Big Sam unexpectedly took him to Bolton. Couldn't believe anyone would want him at the time. Some people may claim it was a loss for us, but that's forgetting how poor he was for us then. I can't remember being happier to see a player move on. Seems to have worked out ok for him and them in the end though.

I don't agree with many of these as players we could have kept. We got a UK record fee for Shearer, who later broke the record again. How could we have kept him? Most of the others there were out of our control as well. I'd say the same about Niemi too, who was mentioned earlier.

The only ones on this list that I agree we could have and should have kept are Cranie and Mills. Both would've stayed if we'd given them a chance, both always played well when called upon and both have gone on to do well at other clubs. Cranie was treated terribly. Despite being a great up and coming player in team that wasn't brilliant, we farmed him out or left him in the reserves while we played all sorts of other crap. Then we finally brought him in for the very last match of the season where he performed superbly for us to see what we'd missed before he left. Mills was pretty much ignored until he left, too. Meanwhile we were bringing in players like Callum Davenport and Andreas Jakobsen.

Yeah, but Baj only posts stuff like that on the Muppet Show, You did it on serious parts of the forum.

Nearly all of my students go on to work offshore, many as ROV pilots. The pay and hours are incredible. They leave here to become apprentices at 18 and even their starting pay is very, very good and it goes up fast after that. They work two weeks on and four weeks off. So basically a lot of them see it as working hard for a short part of the year to fund expensive hobbies/travel they take up for the rest. Not ideal for people with young families though.

I had a friend who was told to do stuff he thought was inadvisable and could come back on him and had similar reactions from his boss. He said he would do it immediately if his boss put the request in writing. His boss changed his mind after that.

Some of those were real legends. I bump into them now and then andthey say they don't want to post any more because of Deppo posting flippant and sarcastic remarks. thanks a lot, deppo. At least he's banned now and we don't have to put up with any more humour on SWF.

Why are people putting an apostrophe in Liebherrs? I can understand missing one out where it belongs, but why go to the trouble of adding extra ones? Bad punctuation is fair enough, extra punctuation is just weird.

I wonder how many people have to see the point in Deppo's posts before he stops being pointless.
