Which pages on Ceefax/Teletext did you used to visit the most?

The "update" button was good as long as there was only one page of latest scores - the feeling hope when the page number appeared in the top corner and sheer angst and depression when you pressed the text button to see that David Leworthy had put Oxford 2-0 up against us. -
Le Tissier: "Cortese is not a nice human being"

Ha ha excellent. -
Arguably the rot has already set in with this squad though but I do tend to agree with the overall point that you make. I am not sure even 'Arry would have the brassneck to come back again though.

But his daughter goes to Southampton Uni so that makes it almost a done deal.
-
Besides, if you are at Uni, generally you have gone to get away from your parents.

Rickie on the bench? **** it, I've had enough, Adkins out.

It gave WHU a psychological boost before the game even started. Fat Sam must have been delighted. -
Don't blame him, second time this season he's been taken off which has contributed to us going on to not win the game. NA's substitutions have been bizarre this season.
-
The tactics at Everton were so naive it was untrue, just as they were at Arsenal. By the time the necessary changes were made the game had gone.
-
He didn't do it with Wolves defence
-
Seems odd that these stories only surface when we are doing badly. If Cortese has been picking the team and formations for the past 2 years he hasn't done too badly Personally I think its b*******. At the very least NC doesn't make the substitutions which have cost us at least 5 points this season.
-
Dickson would have been a better choice at LB than a CB playing LB.
-
Disagree. Biazarre team selections, naive tactics and very very poor subsitutions have cost us. The buck stops with the manager on these issues. Added to this poor/lack of defensive signings for which he is only partially responsible and what we have is a shambles. It can be sorted out by somebody tactically astute, at least to get us through to January when badly needed reinforcements can be brought in.

Cortese will act this weekend imho.
-
Thats the end of that then. Non-League defending.
-
Spot on.

If we defend like we have in most away games this season it will be all over by 60 mins. -

Brave decision. I would imagine Fat Sam is delighted to see Lambert isn't starting. If it works we will all be saying in 2 hours what a masterstroke it is but if it doesn't...... -
Me too, when it all goes horribly, horribly wrong (which it will) then they will have nobody else to blame this time.
-
This is the best possible outcome imho. Not for Pompey, for this thread.
-
Yep agree, not to mention that opposing players crossing the ball aren't being closed down, are being left unmarked both in the box and the edge of and that our zonal marking is a shambles. Boruc in goal is not going to change that.

Good article from an Everton fan regarding tactics yesterday and echoes much of what has been said on here so far i.e. we were too open and left or full backs too exposed. NA needs to wise-up away from home http://theexecutionersbong.wordpress.com/2012/09/30/tactical-deconstruction-how-osman-and-his-wide-boys-schooled-saints/

Lol after the first 15 minutes that was the highlight of the day.
-
They will come back in at the same time as thin leather ties and dodgy 'taches.
-
I think you only have to look at players like Scholes - sometimes what the legs are lacking can be made up for by speed of thought, positional sense, anticipation and just general experience. Grosso and Zambrotta have been there, done it and either would be excellent signings.
-
I agree about Burley but Miller's record wasn't that bad - in the 7 games he played - 5 wins and 1 draw with 3 clean sheets.
