Are you questioning KBilly's info? How very dare you! Source please?

...which suggests that Clyne is staying?

Brilliant!!

If the Northam sings anything to the tune of 'Grandma' I'm walking out.

I don't care whether he did or not mate, I had no idea either way. I was just attempting an ironic post although you would have had to have read my posts in the Hodgson/Clyne thread. Sounds like a good signing though.
-
No he didn't. Apparently you stand little chance of getting in the side unless you play for one of the EPL clubs. Their manager is virtually forcing him to come and play in the Premier League and with Jose tapping him up for us this should happen very soon. It should also be noted that the Portuguese manager is a sh*t dinasour.

Don't worry both Southgate and Monk would be sh*t at the job. -

What does this mean? I could have sworn there were 11 players out there, surely that is a team? Most of them have been consistent picks too, so I really don't know what you mean. It's incredibly difficult at international level with so few games and constant pull-outs to ever have a settled team. I agree Jones for Clyne was a strange decision and the whole of the defence is an issue but this is more down to the ability of the players than anything else. Its' so easy just to lambast the England manager, its been going on for years, I can remember the stick Bobby Robson received. It's so easy just to jump on the bandwagon and not to look objectively. -

How will you do that, by whinging and moaning as soon as they go one goal down? -

Even if you could spell it correctly it would be a pathetic thing to say. Hodgson is a decent manager doing the best he can with what is one of the poorest group of players England have had for many years. He is trying to build something by playing a lot of youngsters. -

Hodgson puts a lot of emphasis on how players perform for England and not so much their club form hence picking Townsend who TBF has always performed well for England. -

I'm afraid I tend to agree with Supersonic. Now I don't agree with Hodgson playing Jones ahead of Clyne but much as I want him to do well Clyne was poor in his last two England games. He also lost a bit of form playing for Saints. Now he can either have a hissy fit like most of the posters on this thread or he can knuckle down, work hard and try and become a better, more consistent player and make the right back spot his own. -
Hope you don't say that to your students

Bearsy was a very funny guy IMO. If you think different then I'd have to question your sense of humour.

Where do you get your info?

Read the quote I was commenting on again: "virtually forcing them to move to so called bigger clubs if they wanted to play for England." He is suggesting Hodgson forced players to join bigger clubs if they wanted to play for England when they were already playing for England.
-
But they were already playing for England, the statement is a contradiction in terms. Lallana, Lambert, JRod, Clyne, Bertrand, Shaw all played for England whilst at Southampton. This argument that Hodgson only picks players from the big clubs just does not stand up. Delph plays for Villa, a team close to getting relegated this Summer, he is a regular starter for England. Don't get me wrong I don't agree with everything Hodgson does, picking Jones ahead of Clyne for instance but it seems that people just want to knock him because that is the thing to do.

Some embarrassing comments on this thread, I do wonder if a lot of you know much about football. And then of course Alpine has to chip in, hoping England lose, this guy who f*cks off to Austria and is forever whinging about the country and whinging about Saints. Well Alpine f*ck off you utter tw*t. Mods, infract me or ban me if you like, in the immortal words of Morgan Freeman "I don't give a ****".
-
I take it all back. Fecking Hodgson, what a useless c***! Actually, I agree with Sour, Clyne has been poor in his last couple of games. I'll still watch it and hope they win.
-
He'd certainly be inept at using the English language mixing up past and future tenses.
-
Well he didnt say that did he? He was simply making the point that the most important thing is a win. Perfectly reasonable.
-
"We are concentrating on breaking them down, scoring goals and - if I'm brutally honest - winning," he said. "I'd take a show or a lucky victory. At the end of the day winning or not getting beaten are the important factors." Not really much wrong in that is there?
-
Totally agree. I can't stop supporting England just like I can't stop supporting Saints. It's your country FFS, just because we are not very good doesn't mean you should give up, this sounds like the big club plastics. Did you all give up on Saints when they were in L1? People moaned when Sven took us to 3 quarter finals but perhaps that was our level and perhaps we are at our level now. We simply don't have that many decent players. Look at the team, many of them don't hold down regular places at club level. It's no good blaming Hodgson or the FA. Look at the big clubs who would much rather buy a top player from abroad than bring through a youngster. But get behind England anyway, as I said its your country. Rant over, suns out.
