  1. I doubt very much the Trust will hear from anybody who's read Birch's report.
  2. No it isn't. That's a tape measure. Or is it a measuring tape?
  3. At fortress madstad as well. As I recall, the team you refer to beat them. We were a goal down when Hammond walked.
  4. Interesting concept. Sounds like fun. I wonder if it would translate to an almost disused football stadium which is also due for demolition soon.
  5. Did he get away with it?
  6. Why would the Directors know that. They were paying UHY to do that from November (well, "paying" in the same way they "bought" the FA cup). Looks to me as if Chainrai was pulling all the strings, from the moment Antonov was nicked and he took control of CSI, and Lampitt was just the fall guy.
  7. Absolutely not. I 3-0 am really looking forward to Blackpool in the play-off semi's. Sweet dreams.

    Two more wins

    What's with all this "2 more wins" ******? I want 4. Minimum.
  9. On a similar thought, the "rule of thumb" in the Championship is 50 points to stay up. So they only need another 16 from their last 5 games.
  10. Thank God for that. I thought we'd have to win all our remaining home games.
  11. No worries. Once we're in the PL, we can sign one of those hard men from Barcelona. More seriously, though, Keane's been mentioned. Scholes is doing a great job this season. And they're not that much different from Bremner, or WGS.
  12. http://www.sportsclubstats.com/England/ChampionshipLeague.html Doesn't look like they work on bank holidays, though.
  13. Just opened the window here in Pretoria & yes, I can hear the boos from here.
  14. I think only unsecured creditors get to vote in a CVA. Chainrai is secured, as far as we know. CSI might be secured as well.
  15. That's a great point, Sue, if it's the one you were making, that this thread has more history than their club.
  16. Not often you feel sorry for an Administrator There are, Pete, but most of them are zeros.
  17. Iceberg?
  18. Birch has already gone on the record and said between £7m & £10m of the remaining parachute payments are already spoken for to football creditors. IMO that was the only reason the FL agreed to release their £200k/month solidarity payments to get them to the end of the season.
  19. Havant & Waterlooville?
  20. It might be semantic, but IMO that's poor reporting. When it was a loan of £33m, they hadn't invested anything. Think Chainrai, although I'm sure the terms were better. At the point when it was converted to equity, it became an investment.
  21. Says more to me about the depths to which the quality of journalism in the UK has sunk, where a reporter can't get enough bona fide references to qualify for a job as a cleaner.
  22. Can't see a lot wrong with it myself, whether he said it or not. It's just a "glass half empty" view. It has struck me more than once that while other clubs in the league takes a huge "shyte or bust" punt on promotion, here at Saints we don't do that, we "build a team this year to compete in the league above next season". We are Southampton, we spend what we want.
  23. Following that logic you could argue that Eastleigh have more right to be in the PL than Southampton FWIW, I agree with you about Blackburn, but I think it was a fair comment if applied to Wigan. Nobody has a right to be in the PL, but in my muddled mind Wigan have been sitting in our seat since 2005, and it's time we took it back.
  24. That's the same website that SLASHED our promotion prospects from 99.0% to 98.4% after West Ham's midweek win.
