This has been an experimental year for us, to see what it would be like to go through a whole closed season without our legendary stickied HCDAJFU thread, and the odd individual thread with proper rumours. All this sort of rubbish normally just got merged into the HCDAJFU thread and nobody bothered to read it. I hope we don't do it this way again.

There is a "takeover" battle continuing right now before our eyes, between the supporters trust and the others, for control of a majority of the shares in the football club. At the moment I don't know who is winning, because like all important matters in their new era of transparency, it's a secret. As trousers rightly said, this takeover isn't finished yet, and I doubt if most skates will be happy when it is.

Tan might shoot himself in the foot though. Allegations of transfer irregularities while McKay was at Cardiff. Self-declaration didn't save Luton.

Hardly, but not as bad as some would have you believe. We've only lost players to Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. No shame in that. It is just a coincidence that we happened to have so many players at the same time that were wanted by top 6 clubs. We've bought pretty well in the market to replace them, including 5 full internationals.
