  1. So today proved the above to be wrong as Davis, in his better position, gave a great class in tireless pressing and leading from the front.

  3. Hello, Does anyone park at Eastleigh station daily? What's it like? Does it get full? Parkway can be a bit of a bugger. Is Eastleigh better? I thank you.
  4. Tosser.
  5. Has anyone mentioned that Lemina is good? Been impressed with Hoedt as well. Gets his head up quickly.
  6. I take your point, although those stats are purely offensive. I think most would agree that Davis offers more defensively in terms of pressing and tackling and is also quicker to cover space.
  7. Oakley was a class player. Much better.
  8. Should never have sent him to Redknapp. ****ing disgrace
  9. Brexit is a great move. SAYS RINGO STARR

    Cortese

Husband! Two blokes, no way. Two girls, maybe.
  11. Cape Verde?

    Cortese

That's something of an exaggeration but also quite irrelevant as the salient point is that it is not how our owner wanted to operate.

  14. Mane played badly to force an exit? Bull****.
  15. This is true.
  16. Is John B, Tony Blair?

    Tadic??

I agree with the above. He's an excellent wide left player. He's not anything else.
  18. In fairness, we were unlikely to be able to replace Mane. He's comfortably Liverpool's best player and one of the top 10 players in the league. Our current problem is a lack of identity. If you accept that there will be times when we simply won't have the players to compete with the best then at least we can bring a style of play that might trouble them. Unfortunately we currently have a relatively mediocre set of players but a pretty aimless style of play.

    Boufal

The one time we actually got the ball to him in an advanced position he skinned the full back and cut the ball back across the box. He, Tadic and Redmond are all to some extent a victim of us not complimenting them with someone who plays more directly. All three of them want to work the ball and receive to feet. So whichever way we attack through them, we end up not being goal side of the opposition. I'd like to see Boufal central, Tadic or Redmond on one side and Long or Sims on the other (ideally I'd be talking about a new signing instead).
  20. Agree.

    Boufal

Agreed, but why don't we ever let him play centrally? He's always shunted out on the wing when he'd be much better behind the striker IMO.
  22. I think you can trace all this back to the failure to appoint Hoddle some time ago.
  23. We don't have any identity or obvious plan anymore. Part of the problem is the personnel but at least Puel seemed stubborn and had a plan. Not sure Pellegrino really has a grip on it yet.

He's battling a foccacia addiction. It's no laughing matter. It's nearly as destructive as Toblerone addiction.

I know for a fact that when Cortese was a banker in Switzerland he had has eye on Dan Harding as a good signing, were he ever to assume control of a football club.
