This. Alpine, I would seriously seek some treatment. I think there are some physical problems with your brain. Seriously.
-
Not sure what point you are trying to make but as a right sided midfielder or forward de Ridder is a much, much, much better option than Morgan. As a centre midfielder, no doubt Morgan is better.

We seem to be having a "Will Fox" moment.
-
Seriously? If that is true then why do you hang out with such narrow-minded thugs?

Patronising rubbish. Not withstanding that he did win the ball cleanly, it was neither reckless nor dangerous nor employed excessive force. The ref wasn't even going to give a foul until Rooney started screaming and waving at him. Look at the reaction of Nani (the "fouled" player) and Giggs - nothing.
-
It didn't. It wasn't even a foul. HTH.

What sort of malicious areshole **** of a God intervenes in football matches?

I agree with this. I logged on to the resale site yesterday *****il it became clear it wasn't working) and then realised that actually the only events I would pay money to watch are Athletics, Hockey and Boxing. If I had gone a bit silly in the first round and ended up with £50 tickets to the Archery or the Water Polo or something I may have been excited at first but let's face it, the atmosphere will be ****e - - especially for those of us used to going to footy matches - and the sport will be unengaging.

Only a bellend like Alpine could ruin a thread about Diction going on loan.

It really is time to bring back the death penalty

What a bizarre thread. Alpine, if your brain really does function in the way your ramblings suggest then I recommend some sort of protective custody and treatment for you. You really seem to struggle with pretty elementary logical concepts in a way which one would not expect an adult to do. Seriously, you might be a mentalist. -
I sincerely hope that none of these players is involved: Davis Richardson Hooiveld Fox Hammond Cork De Ridder Lallana Guly A dtaw would be the best result for us anyway (given Lambert's suspension) - let's send some youngsters out there and challenge them to achieve that. Jaidi, Ward-Prowse, Stephens and Reeves all featured quite heavily on the latest training video on SaintsPlayer - hopefully they will all feature.

It's a hell of a lot more offensive than bad taste fancy dress IMO.

Absolutely right. It's only since CSI went into admin that there has been any public admission by anyone connected with PFC that they can't pay their way through the season. It is obvious that funds from CSI were propping up the football operations. Furthermore, there must be serious question mark over whether those funds were the proceeds of crime in the first place. Any failure to award a points deduction would be utterly obscene.

Guly took them for his previous club.

You're not welcome on here you thick, ignorant, despicable ****. **** off.

He got one decision wrong in our favour - the first penalty. However, he failed to give an earlier blatant penalty to us. If we had got that earlier we may well have won by more as Brighton fell apart as soon as we got a goal. He also didn't give us two 50/50 penalty appeals. Brighton also should definitely have had one more red card and quite possibly two more. Walton was awful (as he was the previous time he reffed at St Mary's in the match we won against Leeds) but the balance of his decisions actually favoured Brighton in that match.

They are a strange bunch. They seem quite obsessed with Saints. It's very odd. I was tempted to go on their official Twitter and ask a politely worded question about whether they feel their tactics are disreputable and embarrassing and whether they plan on trying to build a side based around cheating for the foreseeable future but I couldn't be arsed in the end because, frankly, Brighton were never on my radar until last season and I still couldn't give a flying fook about them now. They are a disgraceful outfit though.
-
My goodness. I think that might be the most stupid thing ever committed to t'internet. Which is quite some achievement.
-
Well, that wouldn't be at all surprising.

Holmes certainly isn't awkward, he is one of the most talented players in our squad in terms of touch and ability to manipulate a football. He is quite slow though. He has hardly ever put in a bad performance for Saints. I would have every confidence in him to do a decent job against Brighton. That said, I would persevere with our standard line up against Brighton and give them all the weekend off next week.

Potentially an intriguing and exciting signing. I have to say though, from the little J-league highlights that I have seen on round-up shows from time to time, the quality of the defending and goalkeeping over there seems ubergash. May take him a little time to adjust to the closer attention he is likely to receive over here but he seems to be a penalty area poacher first and foremost and that skill-set (alertness and quick movement over short spaces) should do well against any standard of defending. I would like our next signing to be a central midfielder who can score a goal.

What annoys me is the lazy engagement of sub-standard pundits purely because they are ex-players. Now, they might know a bit about playing football but they are by-and-large inarticulate, of stunted perspicuity, complacent and ignorant about anything which doesn't involve their pet teams. Has Alan Shearer ever said anything interesting on a football programme.... ever? It might just be the fluid nature of football (as opposed to more staccato and tactics-dominated sports) and the fact that we all think we are experts but it is very rare that an "expert" delivers anything enlightening during a football broadcast. Compare that with something like cricket or rugby where you often get a genuine insight from the presenters/experts - something which leaves you in a more knowledgeable position than you were in before. Football - nah. It's also quite clear that a number of commentators/presenters/pundits don't really know the rules of the game and have their heads stuck in the 1970s.. And don't get me started on the Beeb's obsession with, during major tournaments, engaging people who can barely string together a coherent sentence in English (and I'm not talking about Keown and Shearer). Marcel Dessailly seems like a lovely bloke but I object to my licence fee being paid to him to tell me that "zey try to have make a nice occassions" or some other Boratesque gobbledegook (although admittedly Clarence Seedorf was decent and is a bit of a dude). Football broadcasting is complacent and self-indulgent. It may be something to do with the comparative intelligence and education levels of football players, rugby players and cricketers but really there is no excuse if producers are prepared to try a bit harder. There are several erudite and interesting pundits out there but they are usually resigned to some graveyard shift on 5Live whilst plonkers like Keown and Shearer lord it up on the sofa.
