  1. I guess I'm calling you a d'inlo then!
  2. Lol - I'm sure the source of their debt will be a well respected financial institution and not some shady "businessman" with no obvious rationale to lend to a small-time financially crippled English football team.
  3. Agreed, no point starting him every game as we have plenty of other decent wingers. I am genuinely excited about what he could achieve though.
  4. Has van Gobbel made a comeback for them?
  5. Exageration? BBC said it was a bit tasteh, so I've tuned in for the second half.
  6. "a fresh start"
  7. Footballing sanctions are nothing to do with the company though are they? They attach to the club. The new company owns the club. I'm not saying a points penalty will be applied in relation to those cases but the liquidation etc should have no impact on the situation.
  8. 'Owzat for a goal?!
  9. Also, at Higginbottom's hair. Didn't know he had it in him.
  10. Pathetic refereeing. You can't seriously tell me the ref wouldn't have booked a Stoke player for Neville's challenge on Etherington? But, because it's Neville and it's Man U he lets him off. Scandalous.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/9092349.stm WTF is he talking about? "One of the best teams to come here"? Probably the worst I've seen this season (although I didn't see Tranmere).
  12. Why would you stop going because players are paid more? ****ing weird. I'd rather money went to players than to criminal owners or shareholders. At the end of the day it's up to the management of clubs to take a view on what they can afford to pay. Anyhoo, Rooney's not even in the squad today so good value for money for Utd there!
  13. We won't get a better 'keeper than Kelvin in the third division FFS.
  14. At home v Shrewsbury. Play the ressies.
  15. Aww, poor Cherries didn't get a cup final.
  16. ITV can even **** up televising a draw. Stop all this **** and pick the ****ing balls out you ****s.
  17. Exactly.
  18. They didn't have to give him a contract. Can't see that Rooney's done anything wrong here - he's just looking for the best possible outcome which is fine. He wasn't the one who went public over the whole thing; Ferguson was.
  19. Thinking about this from an altruistic perspective I ask myself: - to whom would a draw against us at SMS mean the most? - to which group of fans would a draw at SMS prove most exciting? - which team would bring a large allocation and a create a "cup final" atmosphere? - who could we beat quite comfortably? Yes, I hope, in the spirit of giving something back to the less fortunate in the footballing community, that we draw AFC Bournemouth, The Cherries, our local neghbours and many Saints fan's second team, at home in the FA Cup.
  20. Absolutely right. His attitude is top notch. He was probably our best player in the first half yesterday. He was eclipsed by Lallana in the second and obviously the mix up of styles worked to good effect when AC came on but Puncheon's contribution is not understood by many of the more vocal elements of the crowd at SMS, sadly. There were a couple of neutrals behind me (for some reason!) and they commented on how Puncheon was the best player on the pitch in the first half. Puncheon, Lallana and Guly are a clear class above League One standard in terms of ability and all work hard and give it their all. We are lucky to be able to enjoy watching such players in the third division.
  21. Morgan and Chaplow completely controlled the midfield during the second half. Morgan is very frustrating due to: i) questionable temperament; ii) lack of assists and goals; but in spite of this he has still performed well this season and is improving IMO. He is quicker into the tackle now and has learnt to control games. He should start every week if fit, with one of the other two. The two criticisms highlighted above probably amount to the same thing - ie they are mental rather than down to ability. We need to persevere with him.
  22. Well, I am clearly a good judge of a player. AC is class. I hope he stays under the radar of bigger clubs (we should continue to use him from the bench for now anyway).
  23. Can't be arsed to read thread but are some idiots criticising Puncheon again? ****ing clueless D'inlos if they are.
  24. Walton was worse. D'urso was a D'inlo today though.
