Exactly, it's not just the fact he'd doing the business now but I think he can play a key role in the CC and possibly if continues to develop, the Prem. He seems level headed and composed, doesn't give silly free-kicks away, dominant in the air, a threat at set-pieces, reads the game well and is looking useful with the ball. It's a long-time since we've had such a complete centre back. I know it's early days but he has huge potential IMO.

It did become very comic the way that any kick that did stay in landed plum on Jaidi's head. It was also hilarious how, given this GK sub-plot, we pressed them into playing so many back passes. He must've been thinking, "Oh, for fu.....".

Funny that Fahim keeps saying he has the right to buy the land. Sounds to me like Gaydamak still owns that then or else has a charge over it to cover money still owed to him by PFC. Mixed feelings about the FA Cup this year. Would love to have got an absolute minnow, for the laughs but really can't see the point. We should save ourselves for the league and the JPT IMO.

We must do everything we can to sign this lad in January. He has the potential to be the bedrock of our defence all the way through L1 and the CCC. Well done to Pardew, not just for this but for everything so far. What a refreshing feeling to have a competent manager and leadership from top down. I'm looking forward to our next match already. He has improved a lot but I still think he will struggle defensively at times this season and certainly in the CCC. That said, if he continues to contribute heavily to us scoring loads then it's a fair trade-off!

I was going to suggest The Pensioners. Will probably get pretty crowded near match-time but should be ok around 12:00 and is sort-of (not really-ish) en route. Food is pretty cheap and it's more of an "old man boozer" (no offence anyone ) than a chavvy skank factory like Yates'.
