  1. That sort of scattergun approach would run the risk of earning yourself a reputation as a timewaster. It would also irk a player somewhat when the deal suddenly goes cold because it looks like something is going to happen elsewhere only to be resurrected again when that one falls through. To pursue a few top targets initially is the right thing to do IMO. We have a week until our next game and then another week until the game after that. We then have 10 days until a further League game. Chill!
  2. I would probably take Lambert and Connolly over Beckford and Becchio. I might take Harding over their left back. Other than that, they are better than us in every position IMO.
  3. There is one good programme on ITV.
  4. I bet their 301st best thug feels quite let down and hurt by that.
  5. Lol - must be or have a mate who is a Saints fan to use "skate" like that. I don't think he's a fan himself as he thinks Markus Liebherr is an investment banker.
  6. Lol - a pointless event organised by amateurs. That is whay I didn't go anyway. As far as lecturing you about support, we will continue to do that for as long as your support is so manifestly pathetic. Seriously, how many fans do you expect to turn up next year when you're in the second division? I am guessing at an average of about 9,000.
  7. I think that is a perfectly fair opinion actually and I expect the police would seek to stop this march.
  8. Well indeed, they are idiots. But let them be idiots. Let them have a march - there will be what, 100 people there? 200 maybe? Ignore them, laugh at them internally, pity them for being so deluded and ignorant and then go and have a nice cup of tea. It won't make the tinyest jot of difference to anything if it is ignored.
  9. Yes, Ross' salary.
  10. Yes, but that doesn't mean they can afford their running costs. You can be debt free but reliant on the wealth of a man to make the business vaible (dare I say, like Saints). We're not in debt but can we ****** afford to sign players for £1m and pay the wages of Jaidi, Davis and Connolly without Mr Liebherr.
  11. Are you called Ludwig and do you live in 1930s Germany?
  12. Exactly. This is the answer.
  13. I know, JB - I wasn't trying to insinuate you were a thug. But undoubtedly they would be attracted by the prospect of a good dust up. "Cultural extravaganza" - lol. I think the more relevant question is this: "Would you be allowed to have your cultural extravaganza in Jedda, for example"? I don't want Britain to be like that and so I would allow these mediaeval numbskills to have their silly little march. I mean, FFS, a march is pretty passe and simple in itself and when it's based on ideology predicated on an imaginary friend it is just laughable. Laugh it off, I say.
  14. Possibly. Or more likely a person suffering from terrible grief.
  15. Dunno.
  16. Why does anyone give a flying duck what our number is?
  17. It's £6m.
  18. Just bothered to read the thread and it seems I was right ...
  19. In theory; it should be allowed to go ahead and people should just ignore it. The Islamist fools will be small in number and easily ignored/policed. It should be a triumph for English democracy and liberalism. What would happen in reality is that the media would start getting the mother of all menstrual strops on weeks in advance; some equally odious group of "Anglo Saxon" retards would turn up looking for a scrap and the whole thing will turn to ****.
  20. They can't, that's the point. They lost £44m last year. Roman Abramovich can afford to pay it. Chelsea FC cannot.
  21. Excellent column. It's all very simple but it's rare that anyone reporting on football actually achieves this sort of clarity.
  22. Aye, they aren't the worse. I've been to aways v Leicester a few times though and their support is generally rubbish.
