  1. 1. Keeping Cedric and Gabbi as backups until the summer is not "spending beyond our means." (Or if it is, we're truly ****ed.) 2. We're not comfortably mid-table to allow us to gamble on youth and injury-prone players (or in some cases, players who are both).
  2. One minute left. It's now or never.
  3. No, I'd have preferred to have kept Gabbi and Cedric as backups until summer, or someone better becomes available, whichever comes first.
  4. 8 minutes left. I'm ready to throw things across the room.
  5. Stephens = (Superb + Crap)/2 = mediocre.
  6. Brilliant winding up by JWP. Good lad!
  7. Romeu a second yellow waiting to happen.
  8. Hoedt is the only one who was deadwood. The others are all capable backups until better players are brought in (Cedric and Gabbi in particular, where we are thin in those positions).
  9. I don't remember anyone complaining about him being offloaded (apart from himself).
  10. Subbed at HT, with the experience of Cedric to come on for the second half.
  11. Only 15 matches left. I'm sure Cedric wouldn't have kicked up a fuss being told he'd be a backup until the summer, and would be free to leave then.
  12. We've only got rid of 4 so far, so I'm a bit nervous. I reckon couple more out (Austin and Bertrand) and we'll be safe.
  13. Like not loaning out experienced back up players without first being sure of having replacements lined up?
  14. Corrected for you.
  15. Exactly. And Ramsey at RB if Valery gets injured/suspended (again). But that's ok, think of all the wages we're saving by loaning out Cedric for a couple of months.
  16. Errr no, it's weakening our bench.
  17. He's the world's greatest trophyless manager. No wonder Real Madrid have him lined up. Any day now.
  18. Corrected for you.
  19. This. If he is replaced with someone better, all is well. If we'd got a good fee in a permanent move, even without a replacement, I could see the logic (although a risky move). 3 points above relegation and loaning him out without any replacement is madness.
  20. Depends. Yes, if the club brings in a quality striker and RB; most of us will be happy with that. If no replacements are brought in, it's a stupid gamble to save peanuts.
