  1. Gallagher instead of Long definitely. But I'd have Yoshi on the bench, he's probably still a bit knackered.
  2. Our recent record, a donkey and a crock, suggests otherwise.
  3. Thanks for saving me typing that out.
  4. JWP in Slattery's place, and Cedric in JWP's RB place. Also, Gabbi in Long's place.
  5. It's a loan with an obligation to buy. Which would mean the contract he signed covers next season and beyond and is non-negotiable.
  6. Just like us with Cedric and JWP.
  7. A Belgian 2nd division team, probably full of turds. I doubt Pep could've done much better. On top of that, his gardening leave was probably coming to a close, so King Power wouldn't want to keep paying his wages that were probably considerably higher than others in that Micky Mouse league.
  8. Because over the last 2 years the only strikers the club have brought in are either crocked or a donkey, despite our woeful lack of firepower up front. They finally realised their mistake this January, and strengthened our attack by shipping out Gabbi.
  9. 90% of shirt pulls by defenders (refs reluctant to give soft penalties) maybe. But shirt pulls and other minor infractions by attackers in the penalty box are usually penalized. In this case it's even worse, since Crouch's foul occurred just before the handball (whether deliberate or not). You can't ignore one and give the other. Yes the ref didn't see it (the assistant ref should've btw), but if either of them had the ref would've penalized the foul by Crouch. Anyway who cares, it was obviously a make up call for the first one. If the first penalty incident hadn't occurred I doubt the second one would've been given.
  10. Long is pretty pointless if he’s ever on the pitch.
  11. This. It was an obvious make up from the referee after the first one not given. Ludicrous to be slagging off Stephens. Also, why wasn't Vestergaard marking Crouch? Not just at that time, but in earlier corners. The person to slag off is Long. Absolutely shocking and pathetic surrendering of possession from him in the final 10 minutes. With Ings injured again, Long useless at everything now, Austin a 10 minute per game player, who does that leave? Some injured youngsters. We desperately needed to bring in a striker in the window, but instead the board decide to sell Gabbi. Actually the real rivals are Fulham and Cardiff. Win those and these 2 draws are fine.
  12. A chance for our new striker to show us what he can do.
  13. Boys playing well at the moment.
  14. Lawro's prediction. Burnley v Southampton Burnley's 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Tuesday was still a very good result but they came very close to getting an amazing one. Seeing Southampton recover to get a point in their game against Crystal Palace was another mark of their recent improvement. But the Clarets are unbeaten in the Premier League in 2019 and - as I have said before - I think the old Burnley are back. Lawro's prediction: 2-0 Mo's prediction: 0-4 Ryan's prediction: 0-4 Um, aren't we also unbeaten in the PL in 2019? I like the two guest NFL dudes' predictions!
  15. It's all Austin's fault.

    Yoshida

Make that three of us. :suspicious:
  17. Win those 2 and we'll be almost safe. Lose them both and we'll be in the shit.
  18. Exactly this. Except for "strange" which should be "****ing stupid."
  19. 1. Keeping Cedric and Gabbi as backups until the summer is not "spending beyond our means." (Or if it is, we're truly ****ed.) 2. We're not comfortably mid-table to allow us to gamble on youth and injury-prone players (or in some cases, players who are both).
  20. One minute left. It's now or never.
  21. No, I'd have preferred to have kept Gabbi and Cedric as backups until summer, or someone better becomes available, whichever comes first.
  22. 8 minutes left. I'm ready to throw things across the room.
  23. Stephens = (Superb + Crap)/2 = mediocre.
