  1. Yes, an interesting snippet. Cheers.
  2. That's true, he certainly wasn't perfect, and he left at the right time. But overall he was great for us, and I will always be grateful for his massive role in our rise from the ashes.
  3. Staplewood: £40m, still standing. The Donkey, Boufal, Hoedt, Elyounoussi = £66m (+ wages) + Forsters contract, Puel, Clown and Hughes payoffs = £??m You be the judge. Basically the Staplewood overspend (£24m?) was just over one Donkey.
  4. Agreed.
  5. Sad to read some of the hate for him here. Without him there would've been no Markus, and we'd probably be still wallowing in the depths below with the bottom feeders, along with the skates. Or worse.
  6. Didn't stop the skates gloating when they beat us when we were in division 3 and they were in the top league (with illegal mercenaries). I 4-1 would thoroughly enjoy us giving them a good rogering if we both get through to round 5 and meet each other.
  7. That may be true, but do we want to risk him getting injured (or red carded)? Derby have been known to be dirty.
  8. I don't think he'll get sacked this season, but maybe next.
  9. Hopefully they'll credit it to him, it would be good for his confidence. And take that 279 day monkey off his back.
  10. Did very well today, as did all 3 CBs. Major factor is Romeu back to his awesome best in front of them, which itself is due to again having a good manager (which we haven't had for 1.5 seasons).
  11. Like watching doctor who when you’re a kid
  12. Park 2 buses second half! 2-0 is the most dangerous lead, especially with only 10 men.
  13. Corrected for you.
  14. One game for each finger, I presume. Good job he didn't give them a two-handed four finger salute.

  16. Because he's an ex-Saint manager, we have a defectors watch thread on the main board so why not one about him, and he keeps on getting mentioned in various threads (unlike Steve Wigley, Dave Jones etc....), so it's best to consolidate his discussions into one on the main board. Anyway, unfortunately the mods listened to you and moved it, which I think is a mistake.
  17. NO PELLE, NO MANE, NO WANYAMA! NO VVD AND FONTE HALF WAY THROUGH !
  18. You seem to be forgetting Mahrez and Kante, their two world class players. The rest of the squad may be mediocre, but with those 2 they should be at least 7th. Just like when he had Pelle, Mane and Big Vic with us, he should've finished higher and won a cup. It's important to look at the bigger picture.
  19. Wouldn't you then have to infract yourself?
  20. We need someone like him now (actually 2 years ago). If not, by the summer it could be too late and we could be down. Gabbi looks like he's on his way out, Ings is reportedly injured again (as are the kids, and we can't rely on them anyway), Austin is a part time player, and the less said about Long the better.
  21. Good summary. In addition to him suffering from appalling managers, he also (as did the rest of the team) struggled without a Rickie/Pelle type partner up front. It would be better to keep him and bring in such a player, but that won't happen since they need to sell him for transfer funds. That's what happens when a fortune has been squandered on Moi, Hoedt, Vestergaard, and the Donkey, along with the Clown and Hughes payoffs. Edit: Forgot to add Boufal to that list.
  22. Agree with most of that, except I think Austin can still play a role as a last 20 minute sub. He should never start again. Moi and Long can piss off. Moi, Hoedt, Vestergaard and the Donkey. How much money wasted on that dross??? Not to mention the Clown and Hughes payoffs. Thanks Les.
