  1. Yes indeed. And he seems fit (unlike Austin, and our last minute panic buy).
  2. Better than consistently bad, of which we have more than a few.
  3. And for that half he was having a strop and playing half-heartedly. Certainly not "world class".
  4. I don't normally care for new song suggestions, but I must say that's very good.
  5. Slaves don't sign contracts that make them unsackable, and get paid £50K (or whatever) per week. I'm sure Forster doesn't feel like a slave. Anyway, it was a good move for him, good luck to him. Just like Les getting fired was a good move for us.
  6. As someone said, when the wolf is chasing you, you don't have to out run it, just the fat kid (or in our case, 3 fat kids).
  7. In fairness it's hard not to under perform when you've got the likes of Long and the Donkey in front of you. When a team is chronically lacking in goals they should've tried to strengthen in that area, rather than sell one of our better attacking players. I wasn't aware that he was doing a VVD strop.
  8. £50K per week for kicking a ball about. Slavery has come a long way these last 200 years.
  9. From the Beeb: Ajax are eight minutes away from winning Group E after Dusan Tadic scored a penalty to put them 2-1 up against Bayern Munich - his second goal of the game. Who at Southampton sanctioned that sale, in retrospect?!
  10. I saw an engine that was going strong for the whole 90+ minutes against Spurs, whereas Armstrong went off after 80 minutes, and Austin was blowing out of his arse after 10 minutes.
  11. Oi Cabbage, who'd you rather leave during January, Yoshi or Vestergaard? ("Both" is not allowed).
  12. Sounds like we need Ibisevic.
  13. One pound for each impression should help cover the Boufal, Carrillo, Vestergaard and Hoedt transfers, and the Puel, Clown and Hughes payoffs.
  14. Thanks, you saved me having to write basically the same thing. Assuming of course the OP's report is correct.
  15. Yes, Bednarek wasn't bad at all, especially as he was rusty. Vestergaard was worse than bad, making numerous appalling mistakes, which we were lucky to "only" get punished once for. You got an infraction for saying it too often, I'm guessing. But yes, you were right about him.
  16. Yes, this worked for the second half of the season under Puel. Have Romeu in front of them, not straying too far forward. Bednarek as first CB backup, Hoedt as second CB backup, and Vestergaard in the U18s/sold.
  17. The squad isn't much different/inferior to the one that finished 8th under Puel. A good manager can turn things around fairly quickly. A goal scoring front man will also lift the whole team, from front to back.
  18. An example of why we'll be truly ****ed if we go down.
  19. Bring in a goal scoring front man in January, and we'll stay up. An experienced Cahill-type CB would be great, but now having a decent manager, along with a desperately needed goal scorer in January, I think that'll be enough. If we don't get a new CB, perm 2 from 3 from Stephens, Yoshi and Bednarek, with Hoedt only used when 2 of those 3 are injured/suspended. Drop Vestergaard from the squad (if we can't sell). I don't think RH can save us if we don't bring in a goal scoring front man (something that should've been done more than 2 years ago - thanks Les, you ****).
  20. Vestergaard, the Carrillo of defenders.
  21. Bednarek and McCarthy have been good.
  22. I can't find words to describe how awful Vestergaard has been. Defensively Targett has been terrible too, but at least he's put in some good balls at the other end.
  23. Is there a deadline for him to have moved, or could you collect 20 years from now?
  24. Does it really matter who was worse, they both were crap. The Clown was a clueless disaster, and Sparky was incompetent and lazy (allegedly not getting involved with training).
