Me too, I've also been saying this for a long time now. He clearly has, and seemingly continues, to be fooled by Ankersen's bullshit. I know he doesn't know much about football, but as a successful businessman it surprises (and frustrates) me that he hasn't seen through it by now.
-
In other words, it's a must win match? Hard to argue with the tractor boy about that.

Sacked after 3 draws and one loss. De Boer had 4 losses after his famous sacking by Palace. It took 7 defeats out of 8 for Rasmus and SR to finally pull the trigger on mad Nate, even though everyone else and their dog knew well before that that he was out of his depth. If we keep on losing I fear it’ll take even longer for them to admit their mistake this time. 😕

It doesn’t have to be launching long balls to a tall CF a la mad Nate. We have players who can get crosses in and play some great through balls for such a player who can also hold the ball up. But that seems against RM’s religion, which is why he won’t give TP a sniff. Just like pointless suicidal pissing around the back is his religion.

Here's hoping.

The point is it’s proof that the squad isn’t as bad as some say. Regarding RM, yes at times he does get it right. The playoffs for example. But getting your players to do well for a third of the match clearly isn’t enough. He keeps making the same tactical mistakes and has a terrible defensive record with every club he’s managed.
-
No one is saying our squad is as good as their billion pound squad. But the fact we were able to match them for the first third of the match means our squad isn’t crap. With a decent manager we have the players that can compete with others in the bottom half. Look at Ipswich what a difference a good manager makes.

Ok old school wasn’t the best term. What I meant is they aren’t interested in an old experienced PL manager. At least they haven’t before. Maybe they’ve learnt their lesson.
-
If we lose the next two league matches against Ipswich and Bournemouth I would say his position would be untenable.
-
Not a cat's chance in hell that Ankersen and SR will hire anyone who is "old school". They are only going to hire someone sufficiently hipster and unproven at this level, which would show they are cleverest geniuses on the planet.
-
Bugger. That means he only misses two PL matches.

You mean like they did a few years ago with de Boer after 4 matches? They ended up finishing 11th.
-
Yes, but Dragan should. It's his money they are flushing down the toilet with their incompetence.
-
If the players aren’t good enough how come we more than matched Utd for the first 30 minutes? I’m not saying we have a great squad, but we do have one that can give it a good go at finishing above 18th. With a competent manager.
-
Back to back automatic promotions. It was a difficult start but definitely better performances as we got used to the level of the PL. In fairness NC wouldn’t sack RM if he was in charge now. Because he wouldn’t have hired him in the first place. Ankersen and SR are costing Dragan a fortune. If I were him I’d take action now.

It was an improvement on the Forest and Brentford shambles in the sense he cut out most of the tippy tappy at the back crap. Yes the first 30 minutes were fine. After that it went to pieces. That’s on the manager Also as the manager he should have had penalty takers well prepared, not just one, and set up in order. BBD has a good record. Why wasn’t he first choice? As for Jack Shoehorn, who was responsible for him being picked? And as for tactics, why was BBD out wide (yet again), where he’s crap? After the penalty miss we didn’t look like we’d score in a month of Sundays. If Nic Cortese were in charge RM would be fired today. But we have Ankersen and his SR clowns in charge and they are clueless about football (they chose the poor managers in the first place). Which means by the time they sack RM it’ll be too late to save the sinking ship.
-
Positives: First 30 minutes we more than matched them. Dibling. Not much tippy tappy at the back. Jack Shoehorn will be out for 3 matches I think. Negatives: Everything else. We went to pieces after that poor penalty miss. We desperately need a CF who can score, he would lift the whole team, whose confidence will ebb away after every defeat. How long will Stewart be fit, and if so can he do it at this level? BBD is hopeless on the wing, if you must play him have him more central. And Tall Paul is with us, give him a go FFS Russ.

Futsal also had quite a positive impact a few years ago on a young kid in Argentina named Messi.
-
A few, not most. Most of us here agree with him.
-
Yes indeed. And sad that an opposition fan seems to have a much better understanding of what's wrong with our tactics than our own manager.
