I've been saying this for about a year now. If he doesn't soon we (and his money) are truly f**ked. Here's a sobering thought: since that ex-Man City kid guru left the person who knows most about football at our club is Russell Martin. Actually that's unfair on some of the players (like Lallana).
-
I’m curious. Of the 61 who voted “no” to sacking him, have any of you now changed your minds?
-
They are both equally shite. Which speaks volumes about the sheer incompetence of SR.
-
I wish. But I doubt SR can even get that right.
-
I think you have answered your own question there. Dragan too, for continuing to support them. The lunatics are in total control of the asylum.
-
That makes no sense. They (and in particular Dragan) wouldn't have spent tens of millions on Ramsdale, etc. to meekly go down and sacrifice the PL riches. If they planned to be a yo-yo club they would've done a Sheffield Utd., save money and not bother to strengthen at all in the summer.
-
He ought to be, but there are no signs he is. In fact, he should've been fuming two years ago when that clown binned many of the staff and thought Mad Nate would be a good replacement for Ralph, before taking us down with an amateur coach as replacement. I've been furious with Rasmus and his SR clown team since that Jones debacle, but now I've lost patience with Dragan too. He may not know much about football, but if he's incapable of seeing that a bunch of charlatans are destroying our club, why the hell did he buy a football club in the first place?? He needs to go, along with all the other clowns.
-
So you are saying he's lying? I don't expect him to say "I'm f**ked and probably gone next week", but give instead some crap that he's confident things will turn around, etc. And not to lie that Dragan and co. fully support him. I doubt Dragan would be happy with that if he didn't really have that "brilliant chat".
-
Asked Russell Martin if he fears for his future: "I had a brilliant chat with Dragan and the guys yesterday, so no."
-
Contract extension?
-
I'm sure that's what the clueless muppets SR and Rasmus would want. But if this crap continues the fans won't tolerate it. The atmosphere at the ground would become so toxic they'd have no choice but to pull the trigger before the season is finished.
-
In other words a huge upgrade on RM.
-
And not just him, also everyone on the board who is still backing him. Rasmus being the ringleader.
-
He changed his Russball against Leeds earlier in the season as well. It was after 4 consecutive appalling performances/defeats so his hand was forced then too.
-
If we lose to Leicester I hope the fans vent their feelings loudly, not just scratch their heads!
-
I don’t think either will happen (at least until it’s far too late). The change we need is Dragan getting rid of most of the board.
-
Exactly. His spousal maintenance from Chelsea has just ended and he's back in the market again. Probably won't choose us though even if RM finally does get axed.
-
Rasmus wouldn’t consider them, they’re old and useless. He’s only interested in young and useless managers.
-
That would be the logical thing to do. Unfortunately SR don't do logical.
-
Obviously we're comparing RM to the Hughes of Saints (and his record prior to that), not after, and from that he (MH) clearly was a better manager. If you want to compare managers how they are at the present time then RM is currently a better manager than Brian Clough.
-
Hughes definitely was better. Jones and Selles had better PL records than RM (a very low bar admittedly). I would rate Jones, Selles and RM as equally terrible. Coincidentally, all SR hires.
-
It would be hard to find someone as bad, or even worse. Although I'm sure Rasmus will try his best in that regard.

Quadruple if you take into account transfer price inflation!
