The fact that Ankersen was with Goztepe didn’t stop him being involved here too. I’d bring in someone experienced on a rolling one year contact, with a huge bonus if he keeps us up. Just like what Roy did a few years ago after Palace’s disastrous start under a disastrous manager. They lost the first 7 but finished 11th. It won’t happen with us of course as long as Ankersen is calling the shots.

If we are going to lose one could argue that a cricket score may be best if it forces SR's hand to pull the trigger now on RM, rather than waiting until we are miles adrift. If it's double digits surely not even Ankersen will be able to spin it to keep him on any longer. As an added bonus maybe it'll finally wake up Dragan to the fact that the lunatics are in charge of the asylum.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, Wilcox may have agreed and been put forward as the public face of the decision, but the choice of RM has Ankersen’s fingerprints all over it.
